how possbile is it for me to get one grade 4 imported already from a dealer, with touch ups needed for body and a few adjustments needed for inside. for 22 grand?? - non premium plus nav/tv

what would be the FOB price if i do look at getting everything totaling max 21-22k? - if i know the FOB price ill just look around for some before i make any moves for a broker, but ill definitely need one....as you can tell I'm a very hard customer very picky....very compulsive that's why the million questions and endless reading of info....plus I'm a uni student and as we all know were suck ass at making some dough for a living and struggle to get a job so 22k is a lot for me, so thanks for grunting this out with me so far and for the replies its been alot of help. ill still be searching just need that FOB price if im totaling 22k :P thanks again guys. just been awesome

one more questions. where do you guys go to get your change rates. iv been using xe.com bu im not to sure how official they are. what should i use?

im looking at one just with the tv/nav and clean inside out, nice body working. engine. underneath. doesnt have to be premium, would that be setting me back total 22k?

i saw one ..in nsw selling for 23k called the guy up and waited one hour for him at meeting spot to inspect it and he didnt show up or pick up when i called or txt msgd him .. just a jackass piece of.... like you would think he would atleast pick up say he cant make it...fn prick...the car is 2003 v35 350gt with 75000kms...im not sure if i can say anymore about it due to forum rules or privacy rules.

i found a nice car not from tradecarview as ppl said its shitty and all, i used uss and some other auction sites that people have recommended. i found one for 1200000 FOB, there's no chance i can get that here complied and all ready to go and drive ( minus rego - i'm not including that cuz its a yearly expense on any car)..anyways theres no chance someone can do that all up for me for 21-22k?

i should be able to fork out that much, what grade was it? and guessing it was a 2003 model, does it have the nav/tv option as well? any pics?

hmm if what sort of money would i need to fork out for a nice 350gt, no accident history, grade 4+ inside and out, with suede/leather int with the nav (premium pack)........spoiler, reverse camera, sunroof would be a plus but not really needed (don't need the extra cost) - id like total cost if possible? thanks.....still looking btw

Well they replied saying its just a sample and gave me the link to USS to check the cars there. still looking around and asking around for more info and local import yards and brokers.

yeah, i dont plan on buying a modded one, just a stock one will be awesome for me, if i do want to mod it i will do so in australia after a few months of driving it etc.

I'm gonna go look up some private sales tomorrow for the 350gt just to see if i can get one without the hassle of importing, but if there no good then ill just go around and calling/visiting some brokers for help and what not. BTW still waiting for a reply for that car. apparently the company selling it isn't open on sat and sun so ill have to wait till Monday for a reply. Just want to ask, what does the compliance actually consist of on a V35 350gt coupe any1 have a run down on it? - say grade 4-4.5 ( does it make a diff on the grade at all or what) - just a through run down in compliance would be awesome if possible? thanks guys.

hey mate, pretty nice indeed, just wondering what site did you find it on, and what was the grade of the car? - assuming you did get it from jap auction or some jap dealer right? - only asking cuz im thinking about importing a car myself, but im not a patient person 4-5 months ill kill my self just wondering has anyone imported and complied and ready to drive less than 4 months like johnney had to wait for?

just a quick question, who does the compliance bit? an actual mechanic or the RTA ? also does the gas for a/c in the car get put out before it gets shipped and need to be refilled when in gets back in Australia, if so then anyone have an idea how much it would cost for refill - would import broker ad that into the cost of compliance or is it a whole new cost like new tyres?

hmm thanks, if not that site which site should i use? - i will be planing on using a broker, iv been contacting some just for help (waiting for replies) - i did find a v35 which i quite like though due to your info i don't know anymore about it its this one here....http://www.tradecarview.com/used_car/japan_car/nissan/skyline+coupe/1499366/ any thoughts? - is it possible for a broker to find me one like that for the same FOB price and a good grade? - with the sunroof/reverse camera/guessing it its a premium pack with the half half leather suede and nav/tv.

As said by Blipman .... car at $15,000 FOB, very rough breakdown of costs would be: Shipping including customs clearance and a couple of other costs: $2,200 Import duty: $1,500 GST: $1,800 Compliance: $2,000 - $2,800 ....found a one at $11,800 AUD FOB, which would be totaling 20k - ready to rego and drive. - that's one day of quick searching around.

neglected to mention i would like an Automatic, Premium pack - colour doesn't matter, just something with a good grade and that would cost around 17-19k TOTAL. (minus Rego and insurance in Australia)

hey guys first post here, im just thinking about importing a 350GT 2003-05 model, premium package one. iv been looking around on http://www.tradecarview.com they have FOB price, im just wondering what FOB price is, also does the customs 1 year wait apply for these cars that are allowed (on sevs/raws list - 350GT is allowed) or can i just buy and ship and rego it and drive whenever i want? say if i do buy one for $15000 AUD FOB how do i calculate the 10% GST and Customs? has anyone imported a 350GT before that could contact me and give me some help? does anyone know a broker that would take care of everything (paper work, inspection, importing) and just charge a commision for there time and effort?
