so....bloody....tempting. got any interior shots? -

the stock s14 sorround looks like this: basically what i did was cut the ciggy lighter and ashtray out. then get a thick thick peice of cardboard (can use wood as well) and put it in place and use the shelleys putty stuff that goes really hard...then u can sand it down to ur shape. alternatively u can use fibreglass. the buttons i removed from the bezel and put them there. only the power and av button really do anything. dont use the volume buttons cos im not running audio to the screen.. (but u can connect them up to the pc if u want and can be bothered figuring out how to). yup to give it the stock look i used a bit of texture spray to give it a rough look just cos i didnt want shiny black or anything. with a cd if u want to play them, i'd probably keep a slim line cd rom in the glove box or something. i was thinking about integrating one just under my screen but i thought i'd never listen to cds anyway.

cheers guys, nissanskyryce: i got my software ages and ages ago... ill dig up the link for windows nlite when nissansilvia.com is back up (been down for a while). u just need a copy of winxp and then use that program to remove what u dont want (theres a step by step thing which tells u what is what). Then you burn an iso of ur "modified windows' and just install that like you would a normal OS. front end is called 'road runner' and u can download that off the mp3car.com forums. The skin should be around as well... as for map software...well thats sometimes a little harder..pm me if u want prank: yeh mate, thats pretty much what i wanted...and beleive me u can do a lot more with the sound card than u can a $500 head unit (i remember selling my headunit for $700 back then haha). im running a semi active setup and theres a lot of goodies u can play with if u really want to get into it. im no where near using the cards full potential but im content. anyway good luck with it! if any wants software/point in right direction pm me n more than happy to help. (hardly look in this section much)

the prices look pretty expensive... migt aswell order everything from mp3car.com they only take about a week to arive and shippings not that bad. my carpc is as follows screen: touchscreen liliput (xenarc is prolly better...their anti glare one is great but pricey) - $250 for the pc all i did was hack up an old desktop the case is just wooden and carpetted. motherboard is an old celeron m/b with onboard sound/video cpu is a 1.5ghz or something weak (don't need anything powerful) ram is just 512mb - powersupply is a opus 150w 12vdc-dc power suppyly with startup/shutdown control..so when i insert my key it automatically boots up...when i take key out, after 5 seconds it goes to proper shutdown procedure automatically. - $150 hard drive im just running a 3inch ide 160gb hard drive -$80 usb gps receiver -$40 bluetooth dongle - $10 onboard audio doesnt cut it for my so bought a creative audigy 4s pci sound card - $100 software... winxp n lite (lightened version for car pc) loads straight into the front end, road runner. has skins etc.. maps for gps i use mapmonkey with destinator 6 maps phone support with bluetooth i havent got working properly yet... i want to look to integrate with the consult port later on...but been lazy. so all up..my set up cost around $500 all up pics of screen mould with my stock stereo sorround pic installed...isntalling windows heh pic of front end and skin it loads into pic of gps working pic of my case before neatening up (bad pic phone camera)

should be able to find heaps of Bee*r pics just thru google i would have thought...for an r33. compared to knock off copies like drift tek. 18's r fairly new...everyone jumped on when 17's were around. the cost of 18s make it around the same price as jap rims.. ie. work xd9's are like $1600 landed brand newfrom jap.

go 2nd hand tyres a good brand. i usually pick up michellin's or pirelli's for about $80 a pop in those sizes with 70 or 80% tread on it. IMO better than buying crap new tyres that dont wear and r like plastic matchbox wheels. good tyres wear quickly.

what offsets/width? if ur scrubbing on the inside and need a 5mm spacer then same width/offset is gonna do the exact same thing. ^ the rule is for rolling diameter which includes ur tyre profile as well. doesn't just go on rim diameter. its stock rim diameter + profile vs new rim diameter + profile. but yes, 20's r gonna be over obviously
-
uras ns01's r similar. there was a massive group buy on these a whle ago. edit, found the thread http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/UR...tml&hl=uras

^bahahahahhah i got rolled. damn cos i just went in there 2 weeks ago and i woulda picked some up! sample enough to do a car ?

most ppl want the wheel to completely fill their guards. the more towards 0 (well...negative really) acompanied by width, the more it'll fill it out. google for 'offset calculator' to see the difference new rims will make from ur old rims. this is my car below with 18x10 +18 rear 18x9+20 front with a +25mm spacer...effectively making it 18x9 -5. ofcourse you'll need to roll ur guards and if u keep going flaring your guards. so basically figure out what others r running on the 34's with a guard roll (only costs $50 a corner to do) and go for that is my suggestion.

just this month fi has sample menzerna products for like $7 each. i think enuff to do one car so u can really try it out.

Item: Bridgestone Grid II, size 275/40/18 Age: not sure Condition: about 90% tread? you decide from pics Price: $100 each => $200 for the pair To Fit: (What car) any car... Location: Glen waverly area of Melb Contact: 0402 348207 Comments: mint condition tyre, almost new tread. theres a tiny mark around the edge on one where it scraped my guard but thats purely cosmetic and hasn't dug into the tyre at all. damn good tyre, good grip..regret getting rid of it but the size doesn't suit my new rims. Item: Toyo Trampio's, size 225/40/18 Age: not sure Condition: about 60% tread? you decide from pics Price: $75 each => $150 for the pair To Fit: (What car) any car... Location: Glen waverly area of Melb Contact: 0402 348207 Comments: great tyre, has a lot of meat on it. absolutely no camber wear. there is some wear on the sides though as you can see from the pics but this is just from being on a stretched rim. It just makes the sidewall LOOK a bit flat because the writing/groves aren't present.
