  1. Sorry if this has been covered already. I mainly wanted to clear up the process of bringing a R34 GT-T into NSW from QLD. From what I have read R34s should have been complied with a SEVS plate/sticker. So to bring a QLD registered R34 into NSW, the SEVS compliance should still hold/be valid for the RTA and I only have to go get a blue slip and the usual RTA rego fee and CTP greenslip? Is it possible for an R34 to have been complied under any other different methods that might cause issues with RTA ? and is there anything else I have missed? I live in far north coast NSW so it would be easier for me to look at cars in goldy/brissy than to do a trip down to Sydney.
  2. Thanks. Yeh i sent him a PM. I was under the impression insurance may be $2k~2.5K I was prepared to pay but NRMA just quoted me on the phone $3,500 and they wouldn't insure it for any more than $10K I would never own a car without comprehensive insurance so I will shop round but if ~$3K is the norm then I think I may just buy a ba xr6 or xr6 turbo. Got quoted $1,200 to insure a 2003 xr6 turbo. oh an btw, mad blings on your R32 mate. love it. You would have great air conditioning on that. haha, i just ignored the above boat post. The guy is obviously still a teenager or not far from it, Paul Walker is probably still his hero.
  3. I don't really find R32's appealing personally, would prefer something newer than a 20y.o. car. I know R33's aren't much newer but I like a handful of them.
  4. No more than $15K is my budget, but then factoring in insurance for one year my actual budget for the car will be ~$13K.
  5. Hmm. Is this the compliance plate on this car - the light blue plate on the left side of the strut bar, image is here .... http://farm4.dealernet.com.au/stock/200905...06ABEF4E097.jpg I have been interested in that car, although it is QLD registered and I will want to bring it over to NSW. I am going to try and have the dealership organise this if i can, for less hassles and peace of mine it will comply, and I have no idea how I would begin to go about it!
  6. Old thread, but still good information. Thanks to OP.
  7. I don't know much about photography but they look like nice angles. Car looks nice and straight too.

  9. I am a bit of a COD5 fanatic on 360. Have cut back playing quite a bit now though. I was on cybergamer under XBM
  10. Just did a bit of stalking through your posts .... doesn't appear that was the car, thankgod. It sounds like a car you said you spotted near pac fair username is NismoKnight Going to send him a message/email about the car, he doesn't seem like someone who would thrash the car judging by his posts. Thanks for everyones help. More input would be great.
  11. haha. thanks mate. Did it happen to be related to this post .....
  12. Thanks mate. ha, yeh a GTT is a little out of my price range. So GTST looks more appealing. I am from NSW, so that is why I was looking at them in dealerships in QLD as I would ask for rego to be transferred or the blue slip or whatever I will need to be done before I even consider buying one from QLD. That particular dealership the GTS-T is at above, offers extended warranty also - although I would want to thoroughly read the terms and conditions (the guy mentioned it would cover the turbo, aircon compressor etc to what extent though? if the part is found faulty? would it cover wear/age?). It looked nice with minor mods i.e. exhaust, bov and a cannon (the cannon would be getting thrown in the bin, dont like them), it had the original filterbox (whether or not it had just been put back on?) I don't want anything with a pod or any defectable crap. I would love to get a NSW mechanic in there and fully go over it.
  13. I'm not looking at buying one for speed. R32 is too old, and I only like 2dr R34s and there doesn't seem to be too many of them within my area in my price range.
  14. Hi. Just wondering who use to own this car ..... You may know just by looking at the picture, located here. It is at preferred autos (www.preferredautos.com.au) On Brisbane Rd, just off the Gold coast hwy. I am looking at buying a skyline, noticed this car in the dealership today as I drove past and went in and had a look. I noticed it has a SAU sticker on the car. Has anyone bought from these guys? If i was to purchase it I would take out the extra warranty cover although I want to get my hands on the warranty terms and conditions first and read through them, anyone had any experiences regarding this? The guy i talked to seemed genuine though, so he is either really good at his job or really is, there are some nice cars in there. Anybodies input would be appreciated.
