I see the most dickhead manovuers performed by 4x4 owners. Not in regards to "speed" moves, thats normally reserved for us hoons. I'm talking outright stupidity coming from an arrogant attitude and a complete lack of situational awareness. Changing lanes into other cars? "Merging" into the side of other cars? Tailgating while not even looking out the front of the car? Braking hard to turn into a side street or driveway without using indicators? Pulling out in front of people with no regard for their speed and distance from you? Drive a landbarge that blocks everyone elses vision of the traffic ahead? Drive a tank that annihalites every other car on the road in the case of an accident (and then rolls over and kills you too)? Yep, thats all 4x4 owners right there.

So Mister Nizmech, if that is your real name, heres a problem for you: Recently reassembled engine running rich on 1 cylinder. Plenty of fuel, plenty of spark, timing ok, good compression. Would you: (a) Have a smoke, (B) Buy a pie from the lunch lady, © Read the paper, or (d) Check the plenum / inlet manifold for a misplaced rag which has now jammed up number 1 runner and is stopping air from reaching the cylinder I'll tell you what WE did. All of the above. In that order.

Install it, and use it You use the "Resize / Resample" option under the "Image" menu, where it lets you choose from a range of common sizes (you would probably want 640x480 if you want to upload them here, then just send the full size copy to people if they want them) or you can goto a wierd-arse custom size if you want.. Also download the plugins (~5mb I think?) for the ultimate graphics viewer and basic editor. Kicks everything else in the buttocks with big boots. You should have read your itinery The MSC ended at Lake Baroon officially, but the itinery showed instructions on how to get back to the highway. Then you had the choice of heading to the sunny coast, or heading home. There was nothing organised after Lake Baroon, just instructions on how to get out of there We headed home with the majority of the people who left at that time, maybe one or two headed to the sunny coast. Alot of people stayed at the Lake for schwimming or whatever.

APC was pretty much spot on the diagnosis with Brutis, compared to Mazfix who fscked it up totally and were gonna try and charge me $2500-00 (on a car that cost me $2400.....) to fix a problem that didnt exist. So yeah, my hand up for APC as well.

There is a line between "having a go" and "making your car dangerous"... I do oil changes, brake pads, (ie: basic maintainence) and minor repairs (ie: CV shafts and seals, diff) etc no worries, but I get a mechanic I trust to do a major service once a year to verify everything is in shape - mainly stuff that is only obvious once its up on a hoist. Changing shockies is all very well, but what if you stuff up something? To some people it may be blindingly obvious what needs to be done, but having seen the technical dramas some store owners get themselves into over something as simple as cleaning out a condensor, I can see why some people much prefer getting a professional to do it, especially if it is something fairly important (see: suspension / brakes).
