Who has the Power FC diagnostic software?
krawler replied to 400HP's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Gavin Wood Autotech (www.autech.net.au) has all cables and software, its what he uses for all PFC tuning (road + dyno) in conjunction with some autronic A/R meter and spaghetti-junction style cables. You may be able to see it in action in several of the photos on the website if I remember correctly. FC-Datalogit (www.fc-datalogit.co.nz) claims the need for a special dongle for each model of engine, but with some very minor hax0ring of wires, the same dongle can be used for SR20/RB20/RB25/RB26 and I'm sure several (many?) others. FC-Datalogit in use at QR Sprints on MELV's gtr: -
Speaking of which ... Looked what happened to our car tonight... NOOES! THE 100,000KAY MARK!!@#!@# I also took a video of it clicking over from 99,999 to 100,000

Anyone get a video of the cappacino and its roller-smoking 37.7kw run? Coolest thing ever watching that poor guy hop in the worlds smallest novelty car and try and be serious and professional

I've done 60,000 in 18 months in my work van God knows what brutis has done, the odometer doesnt work (or the horn, or the window...) Skyrice has done ~40,000 in over 2 years. Not bad considering for most of that it was a weekend car (and even now its only a ~10k trip to work)

strutto the damn nark was taking survelleince pictures for the local police. Also, pics of chiqs in bikinis.

Feel free to elaborate. I'm not "in the loop".

The relay could have welded the contacts together when you, erm, "****ed up". A dead short on a 12v system draws enormous current (which you can literally weld with) which would quite easily cause the contacts to melt together. It seems strange the SAFC is stuck on, but nothing else on your accessories circuit? If its a relay inside the SAFC itself, its time to go digging with a soldering iron

Why did you have to mash the accelerator to pass a taxi if you only had 1cm either side? What exactly did it achieve, except for making you look like a hoon? I'm with chfowler. Of all the stupid hoon cars I've owned, the only time I've ever been "randomly" pulled up was when we dropped a friend home at 2am on a sunday. It was suspicious, I got RBTd and it was all good. I wrote this on another forum regarding Harrys and buggered if I'm gonna reword it. It applies to most of the "hoon" locations: Another point that is relevant in general, not just the pack coming back on the M1:

I know where he lives FWIW Did some work on the coast and found his secret hiding spot (which isnt secret, nor is it a hiding spot)

Youre funny If I had a GTR, you could have a go. But I dont, but hey if you ever feel the desire to have a ride in a KA Laser, then I'm your man. Note: KA Laser may be missing several important pieces of standard KA Laser equipment, specifically most of the dash, a fair bit of structural integrity and a definate lack of carby.

Lets bitch about 'Euro-styled' Jap cars
krawler replied to pentae's topic in General Automotive Discussion
I think the styling of cars went downhill after the KA laser. I mean whats with the KB? Those front lights just look all soft, as if the owner is a little old lady using a cheap, economical shopping trolley of a car to get the milk and bread from the corner store instead of the sporty, high performance car the KA was. I'll agree the supras are looking a little dated, but I dont think very many cars look good from factory ... Add a mild bodykit, some lowering and a set of nice wheels and the supra is very tops. More so than most cars with the same mods I guess is what I'm trying to say. Urgh, personal taste I guess. Also the new minis are damn fat (not phat) compared to the old minis. I saw one parked next to an old mini about a week ago and you dont realise just how huge the new minis are until you see them next to an old mini. Like literally double the size (note: hyperbole). Anyway, even I dont know what point I was trying to make when I started typing this. -
Err, as if. Some people just cant be serious for 2 seconds

Johns setup is definately very laggy. Brisbane to the Gold Coast and still hasnt come on boost. Must be one big mother of a turbo.

Yes, you're right ... The Supra _IS_ the toughest looking car ever made. Oh wait noone said that. Well dammit, it needed saying. Also I reckon the 350Z looks orright from the side, but that arse just makes me wanna poke it with a stick. A really large, long stick. Possibly a barge pole of some sort. BMW is turning ugly too I reckon. The old M3/M5 looked about 925% (may be 1% margin of error due to rounding) better than the new ones. Mercedes has never made a good looking car. Neither has saab. Peugots only good looker is the rally 206 Very tough. Whee, I'm rambling. Why couldnt nissan follow the styling rules from 32 -> 33 -> 34 -> .... ? The 32 was nice. I think the 33 looks better. The 34 definately takes the cake though. Then the 350Z comes along and its a piece of arse. Shame nissan. Hmm I wonder what the next era of supra would look like? Will that be arse too? -
Plenty of stock ones around though aye James? And MELV could be right .. Its a today tonight setup! NOOOOO I blame that nark strutto.

Who did you end up using? FWIW, the work I've seen cameron at camerons body works seems to be quite good (see: green R32 at various drift days, most cars for streetmachines)

Out of interest, do you know anyone with a 32 GTR you can pinch the A/C control out of and swap over? Be very cheap and easy to fix then, just grab a new (read: second hand) A/C control and your right. No labour charges, etc. Just a thought, dont really know anyone in brisbane I'd trust with a gtr

Sure was hard going back to work today after such a relaxing day yesteryday *yawn, stretch* Hi adrian

Why is the APEXI AVC-R BOOST CONTROLLER so much?
krawler replied to DezertEagle's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
The solenoid duty cycle of an AVCR also brings on your boost far more quickly and far more reliably than any other boost controller.
