  1. Every thread ends up arse. I'm glad this one only took 3 pages to get there.
  2. The first ride I had in a skyline was leaving the car yard where we bought ours. Never test drove it, never even sat in it with the engine running. I'm so spontaneous.
  3. Its a niche market. He's got it well covered though.
  4. Wow, talk about fast-tracking the process into a shit fight aye strutto?
  5. If you dont mind doing a temporary dodgy, you can just get a union to suit the size rubber hose that feeds the heater box and "bridge" it out just in front of the firewall. Usually enough length to pull off the heater box fitting, union together and voila. Hopefully enough length so you dont have to chop anywhere.
  6. I saw PTR33 today driving around. I tried to beep, but my horn doesnt work. I tried to wave, but my window doesnt wind down. I flashed my lights, but he'd already gone past so I got evil stares from the old people in front of me.
  7. Amen to that. Another test that would be worth doing is a test based on long term use of the product and its effect on the various metal components it comes into contact with through out the engine. Specifically looking at clogging of oil galleries, acid attack, etc. Thats something that cant be tested on all these race cars because they are being rebuilt so frequently, or doing very low kays. And the full test would obviously involve the testers being unaware which has the additive.
  8. Amazing how it seems perfectly divided 50/50 as to wether a gtst can beat a wrx (which for some reason keeps getting mixed up with stis?) or not. "My hat ... is pink"
  9. These are all cars that I've been associated with in some way, mostly through SAU or SVD organised days... They dont really "cruise" though, so I dunno if that makes it irrelevant. Either PSI-350 or Richard Hulls RB26 powered GTST. Wheelspin at freeway speeds is hardc0re, you hear me? MMM59 or Melvs GTR are very tough... When japtaxi gets his car back on the road, I think he may just walk away with this little award though You might actually get this crown John, mainly because of this photo: http://www.autech.net.au/images/gallery_-_...wallpaper03.jpg ... It really just looks the goods and it has that X factor. Erin gets the vote for this one And I guess I'm biased, but its always clean and shiny. No real "most fully ever" car springs to mind. Some cars are awesome in terms of power, but others look prettier. Some just stand out in a crowd, despite being neither super powerful or super shiny. I'l reserve judgement I think.
  10. Amen to that. Speedy, you are my new god. You say smart things. Speaking of smart things, why cant someone tell me the advantages of the FCON over the PFC? Or the advantages of pretty much any of the computers. I dont really care if the PFC comes out on the bottom of the pile, I just wanna know the differences between them (in an easily readable, easily understood list)
  11. I got in first, I sent an SMS at 12:01am this morning. W00t for me. Also, happy birthday. (PS - Belgarion gets the award for Coolest. Present. Ever.)
  12. Dont goto bob jane. Fulcrum does it, dont they have a workshop at the coast?
  13. ... Have you got a message for Serious-Seven too?
  14. And off topic again ... Anyone know of any advantages of the HKS Fcon V over the PowerFC? It seems that there is only one (1???) tuner in the whole of australia for the HKS Fcon V which on paper seems to have no advantages over the PowerFC, of which there are tuners on every street corner?
  15. Yeah, its a track car so I guess its tuned for reliability? Beats me, I'd like 390rwkw (which is especailly impressive when I have a FWD car) Off topic for a second ... Have you heard of a link computer to suit the E5B6 computer as found in the jap-spec (and all over NZ) E5T from the ~1987 Mazda Familia GTX?
  16. strutto will be able to hax0r it anyway
  17. Oh man, unknown? cops arse
  18. What does my little boxes say? I wonder if I can vote to make myself cooler. Either way, I'm gonna go make strutto more toward the "sucks" end of the scale ho ho ho
  19. By all of 3 RON (iirc, 2 RON above super)
  20. I thought only ceffies came with the warning chime?
  21. I'm more inclined to suggest 219rwhp, I think 220 is just a little bit optimistic.
  22. Here is an autronic running on a GTR... 391rwkw if i remember correctly? It was run in the Dutton Rally full 'o' stickers. I had a look at some of the things they were doing with the ECU, and was pretty impressed. There is a switch in the cabin to turn on data logging, it monitors pretty much every possible part of the engines operation, has some sort of real time tune(??) and much more importantly, makes funky looking graphs to impress slack jawed yokels like me.
  23. www.nengun.com and www.greenline.co.jp are the two cheapest sources for parts I know of, but I think they would be more than $1240 delivered (unless the exchange rate has changed it again). So I'd say $1240 with a hand controller is a damn good price *EDIT: Alot of people seem to be having problems with stalling at low RPM with an atmo vent BOV. I'm guessing it runs so rich at low rpm it stalls. I believe skyrices run 100% duty cycle on the injectors when you back off? Is this true? If it is, does it happen at all rpm / boost pressures, or only above a certain point? Sorry, not trying to hijack
  24. Wolf version 4 is also a plugin Apexi PFC is great, we run with that. Autronic is god. Also, god-like cost.
  25. A guy at work had his hilux taped up in that heat-shrink wrap they use to wrap up pallet loads on his bucks night. It wraps like glad wrap, then you hit it with a heat gun and it turns rock hard. No damage to the car, but about 4 hours to get the stuff off
