  1. Nb - maintenance free = sealed.
  2. Yes you do! Helloooooo super smooth BB Anyways. Our skyline makes a noise like a rusty gate opening (but urm quieter?) if you let it slowly come off boost. Just at the point where I assume the turbo is starting to slow down again you hear it. Car still makes 1bar (1.2bar on occasion, oops, yay AVCR and its super non-spiking properties) and performs well though.
  3. Good son of rajab Ok, dinner time. Then NFS:U time. I'm gonna finish it again on HARD HARD HARD and 1st in every race (incl tournaments). I wanna win a special prize. Like a novelty vehicle. *gone*
  4. What removes super glue? Pls hurry, I'm busting.
  5. I'll ask paradoxx to do it. He's up for that sort of stupidity. Err, and by "that", i mean for HIM to do the experiment on HIMSELF without me watching or anything stupid like that. Ok, commence any remaining homophobe jokes below.
  6. Well according to the helpful folks at jackinworld.com (your premier masturbation resource), there is a condition that causes you to sprog into your bladder. How wierd would that be, you blow ya load and nothing happens, you goto take a piss and sperms fly out. Anyway, I wonder if you superglued your knob end shut and sprogged, would it do that? That'd be a cool party trick. (PS - How long does superglue stay stuck for?)
  7. But ... how else are you gonna get a photo of your car posted on qldstreetcar? You might even make it into the mag!@#?!@?#?@#$!!*% RYHQFl1h!1!!!!! (albeit in a small 60x60 avatar sized photo on the back page squished among 1000 other 60x60 avatar sized photos)
  8. Just grab the biggest capacity maintainence free battery you can possibly squeeze into the space. Battery terminals are easily replaced, so is the the wire, so if you cant find a big capacity (ie: ~550CCA) battery with the terminals in the right position, just replace the wire with single guage and a new terminal that handles single guage. I've put big capacity batteries in every car I've owned as soon as I could and never had another battery problem again (my original kingswood replacement battery is still working, 6 years on from when I got it and is on its 3rd actual car, one of which borked the regulator and was constantly charging the battery yet it never blew up)
  9. I do my best racing with the window down and resting my arm on it
  10. I wonder if anyone has ever tried super gluing their knob shut then having a batt? Another wonderful thought from the desk of paradoxx
  11. Probably not bothering to do any modding because they will be whinged at, complained about and generally insulted with personal snide remarks from the peanut gallery.
  12. I think your g/f's friend should have been booked for being a typical stupid woman driver... Hands on wheel, eyes on road. Car for driving, not a mobile hairdressers, live chat room, communications central or rave party. Humph.
  13. Just for a bit of info ... We were having idly and low rpm problems associated with our stock ECU a while ago.... Took it to autotech and they diagnosed it as missing a power feed or two. I believe there are meant to be 4 total, ours had 2? We had half what was required anyway. All the problems were fixed up when they repaired this. I dont know how relevant this is, what with our problems being pre-existing and on a stock ECU, but anyway.
  14. Ok well that ruins that plan. Especially if its had a 10" section of chassis cut away! Cheers for the info guys.
  15. "RB20DET-R in the GTS-R is reputedly good for 220hp, up from the 180hp of the GTS-X" I'm guessing a fancy-pants motor in the import 31's?
  16. Factory figures = Reality minus 2 seconds
  17. I blame the lazy mechanics *shakes head* Or I blame ross for taking up all their valuable time with Just One Beer visits
  18. Wowee, way for me to start about 18 pages behind the 8 ball  Stupid whoretown. My bottoms itchy.
  19. Have you missed almost all the answers to any thread that starts "Who can reccomend a mechanic in ?" ?? :birdie:
  20. I assume you remove the pipe connecting to the throttle body and clean it from there? I believe autotech actually removed the throttle body and cleaned it though, so you may have to do that to do the job properly.
  21. No way. Let us continue to eThug each other.
  22. It can be used for track or as parts, but yeah, apparently never registered again. You cant even get it complied as a custom or anything?
  23. We had a similiar problem with our 33 (RB25DET), according to autotech its because the throttle body builds up a lining of "crap", which I seem to recall is from the gas recirc? Either way, they '1 x clean throttle body' and the problem hasnt happened again. This was most obvious pulling up to a set of traffic lights and popping the clutch in. The revs would die right down on occasionally stall. Other times, it was ok.
  24. The reason I ask is that there is a very tidy R33 for sale near here for 9k, but has failed complience. I was wondering if 9k + recompliance (if possible) was gonna be less than the cost of a pre-complied(err?) R33.. It failed due to missing seatbelt restraint or something?
