  1. Did you say hello from me? I'll be round there later tonight ooooooh
  2. This is the most informative and technically accurate thread I've seen in ages.
  3. Weld 4 of the end to end? :headspin:
  4. Bleh You are in brisbane? If you are interested, I wouldnt mind meeting up at willowbank some time. There is a boostcruising organised race day out there very soon? Not for any sort of wang enlargement gratification, but because I'd be interested to see how the drag goes against a "good" driver in the rex, and "a" driver in the skyline (the missus)
  5. FWIW, you can get rid of that boxer sound by removing the stock exhaust manifolds and replacing them with a tuned length manifold. You only get the "whup whup whup" because the runners are so long to bring the exhaust from the far side of the engine.
  6. They'll win off the line... for about 4 races. Then they blow a box. w00t
  7. Is it true you can only apply for compliance once, and if it fails it cannot be recomplied? So if you import a car yourself, forget to add something which causes it to fail its compliance inspection then you are stuck with a useless car?
  8. In fact, the only thing letting down autotech is the bone idle mechanics (ps - wheres my td04?)
  9. A picture is worth a thousand words...
  10. Doesnt microtech suffer from very poor fuel economy due to its "all power" or "idle" way of thinking? And arent MAP sensors less accurate than AFM + TPS? And I heard a rumour that microtech has very weak solder joints which means when they get hot the solder seperates and you lose all your tuning? (and I'm going off topic again ... doh)
  11. But what exactly is better? I'm not trying to start an argument, I just wanna know the nitty gritty is all.
  12. Christ, who let the mechanics use a computer eh Brett and Scott? (And Clint?)
  13. I'm the first to post here today Woo. I declare the 25th July, 2004 as Krawlers Whoretown Day. Its a public holiday. Everyone take the day off. I cant wait for kebabs. *burp*
  14. Serious question, and not a go at you or anything.... If its a step below the PFC, and you have to drive from the sunny coast to sydney for tuning ... Why use it instead of the PFC? If there are some magical features ross hasnt pointed out yet (although I guess MAP is an advantage over MAF) I'd be interested in hearing them. Always open to new ideas and suggestions for ECUs
  15. If you had of driven around the corner (literally), you would have found gavin wood who is another place with the laptop software (FYI, its called FC Data Logit... http://www.fc-datalogit.co.nz) who tunes an orright tune Alternatively, http://www.autech.net.au (spam spam spam!)
  16. I'm confused  At the end of the day, is the general consenses(sp?) that a stock WRX will beat a stock R33?
  17. What I forgot to add to my previous post was that those quotes demonstrate the misforgivings I have about snake oils in general. They all provide some sort of test data showing that their product "works", but as the quotes point out (makes more sense if you read the whole thread), these tests are only testing a very specific point of operation which normally doesnt include combustion temperatures or the by products produced by combustion. Another point that was raised is that synthetic oils already have various additives at very precise concentrations. Often adding more results in acidity. Anyway, I'm sure this is all EOF by now.
  18. Out of interest, what are the advantages of the HKS FCON over something like the Apexi PFC? If there is only one tuner in australia who can do FCON, it seems like a lot of effort to goto instead of using a common garden variety computer. Are there big gains to be had?
  19. Hmm Serious-Seven, just remove your age from the details displayed. This is tha intarweb, where you can be whatever you want to be just by typing it up.
  20. I found this particular thread interesting: http://forums.noria.com/eve/ubb.x?a=tpc&s=...995&m=165108422 Some of the specific quotes: If you have the patience, read the entire 2 page thread.
  21. My bottom am teh itch. heh, I was reading harry potter. Holy crap thats a thick book for little kiddies.
  22. Skyriceaus is too subtle for me ... Bring back the newsgroups, w00t
