My bottoms itchy. Also, AOpen CDRWs suck arse for ripping audio. Lite On work fine though. EAC + LAME is best combination for making good audio (using the preset 'standard' which is VBR 192kb), NOT audiocatalyst.. audiocatalyst is like 800x faster though. Anyway.

I want to live in a warehouse, but erin says its a stupid idea. cops arse! Convert the mezzanine floor into a living area and have a whole shed to do stupid things in. I've got visions of F&F moments... Cops are after a pack of hoons, everyone comes racing in, I drop the roller door, cops go by, roller door goes up and hoons go off the opposite direction. Yayayay. Anyway, I thought it'd be cool.

It'd be worth copping a blowie off those stupid 15 year olds just for the 5 minutes of silence.

Any ideas on how to get around them? Even on perfect CDs I get them. Tried ripping at every available speed from 1.00X to 32.00X. Tried EAC, Audiocatalyst, iTunes, even copying the WAV files with random programs then using Audiocatalyst to convert to mp3. Tried several different encoders (including all bitrates between 128 and 320k) Sorta running out of ideas... maybe the cdrom is just sh1t? Aopen 52x32x52...

Oh and in regards to that DIY boost controller... that looks suspiciously like a regulator used in FCB (read: slurpee) machines :?

Anyone else had problems when ripping mp3s of "hissing" between tracks? And slight crackles during the quieter parts of a track?

Kangaroo point is always open. Very hard to find a spot that takes in the cliff and your car without being full of other "stuff" (ie: toilet block, swings, dirty bushes full of homeless people and rubbish) Erins got some photos of kangaroo point on her computer I took too, but none with the car in it. With something like an EOS, you could park the car in the widest open space you could and zoom in from the other side of the river to take the long exposure shot Tricky dicky.

SAU is goddamn slow Be interesting to see CPU load times. Probably being run off a 386 SX 25mhz with a 300baud modem or something. Or some little mexican boy in trousers listening to a tin can with string attached and working out the data via an abacus. Or something.
