I'll vouch for Nicks Performance Clutches. We got our 3000lb pressure plate + a new organic friction plate from him. All up it was somewhere near (but under) 600 bucks including fitting. You've all seen how erin drives.. And its lasted aaggess and still chirps them on the freeway I'll never be putting a button clutch in aye.. I'd rather work on the theory that an organic friction plates slippage is just under the amount of power a part can soak before it breaks... So theoretically, the clutch will slip before anything important breaks... Guess we'll find out

We asked all the hard questions today at Gavin's.... 3rd gear was because 4th puts too much load for too long on the engine. During a power run its probably fine to do, but when tuning you want to hold specific revs for a bit and its too much load to stay on in 4th. *gasp* At least, thats my dumbed-down understanding of what Gavin actually said, which had lots of complex words in them (most of them were more than 1 syllable so buggered if I could understand them) and scientific words like "torque" and "kilowatt" and Stuff :bonk: Uhm and the blips are indeed caused by power transfering cause the Thing that measures g forces and Stuff and decides when to put drive to the front wheels gets all confused :headspin: cause the car is actually sitting still. Again, this is a dumbed down version for I am but a lowly fridgie and he is the almighty Running Bear Who Works On Skylines With Sitting Bull So yeah, I'll bet THAT clears it all up.... :looney:

I think she's probably wondering the same thing I'm wondering... What do you mean "Only got to 3rd"? Normally dyno runs are done in 4th gear. Thats because it is 1:1 (or at least, the closest to. I dont think all cars are actually 1:1) and gives you the most accurate estimate of HP cause you dont get the torque multiplication you get with lower gears. So when you said "Only got to 3rd gear", it sounds like you are thinking that he revved out 1st, revved out 2nd, revved out 3rd and then gave up? I dunno, you're crazy as a coconut :headspin: And the other thing I was wondering was why the curve has all the blips. Apparently due to RWD swapping to FWD as it lost traction (yay GTR!) but I was thinking if thats on an AWD dyno, that shouldnt happen... Unless the HP is only actually measured on the rear set of rollers and the fronts are just there so the front wheels dont just do some 200k/hour static burnout on the concrete? I dunno enough about dynos Anyway, if thats the explanation than I'm a bloody jenios (nb - you are still crazy as a coconut :headspin: )
