  1. talk about a thread hijack haha yer the high flows don;t sound too bad. i'm gonna price up some s15 injectors on monday
  2. they were just too options that i was tossing up with, idle problems eh. prob better to go the s15 injectors or nismo 550cc. has anyone had any problems with economy at cruising speeds with these injectors?
  3. hey guys i've got an r33 rb25et i am looking at getting a nistune in the near future. with either a rb25 highflow or atr43 (hypergear direct bolt up) i've already got all supporting mods, bosch 040, z32 afm, , fmic, 3.5 inch turbo back, splitfires i'm tossing up with either getting a set of s15 injectors (480 cc i think )? or sr n/a highflows (700cc) i think that the s15 injectors would have a better spray pattern, and keep my economy down a bit? i haven;t heard too much about the highflowed injectors, is anyone using them? just want people's opinions about both of these injectors do the high flowed injectors have a bad spray pattern? they might be a bit overkill for my application cheers
  4. yes, that was my quote dynotuned at efi. with a z32 ecu maybe i should look into it more,
  5. it seems that to make a high flow upgrade worthwhile, i have to upgrade injectors. i have tried searching for hours, but if i nistuned my car as it is, (fmic, 3.5 inch turbo back. 10psi, bosch 040, bcpres7) would there be much gains? i just want to justify $1000 down the drain. i was told to source 550 cc inj are there any direct bolt ups from other nissans that are available secondhand?
  6. sori for digging up an old thread. ive settled on a hypergear highflow and nistune in the new year. r33 series one what do stock inj max out at? i've been told various things, tuner told me 260hp atw it maxes out at. and that injectors max out before the afm does. does that sound about right? i jus don't want to have to overcapitalise injectors if i don't have to. i surfed through the rb25turbo upgrade thread and 33's seem to make easy 220rwkw on stock inj. without an fpr. anyone had much gains with a nistune on a totally stock r33 (exhaust and fmic, 10psi)?
  7. does r and r hit when afm reads max voltage because i remember when i took my car to erd. my afm was maxing out every time i put my foot down. maybe that has something to do with it.
  8. anybody else have the same problem?
  9. ima ring you tmrw and book myself in haha brand new spark plugs, running stock boost. coilpacks are fine it drives the same as when i wound up the boost and hit r and r all this started to happen after a hard night of driving
  10. i've already used the search button, and didn't have any luck the car is a stock r33 gtst with the basic mods (fmic exhaust) car runs fine most of the time then all of a sudden the car seems to be a bit more sluggish the induction noise(and blow off valve) gets quieter and the exhaust noise gets louder when this happens the car doesn't pull as hard its an on and off problem has anyone ever experienced this problem and corrected it?
  11. sweet i'll check him out, by the looks of things i will have to keep my original cas use my tps and injectors might be easier to swap the inlet manifolds over instead change the sump, that should be about it anything else?
  12. hey guys i'm after another engine, and i have sourced a healthy rb25det engine fom a 1996 model stagea my car is a 1995 r33 . its a series 1. what hassles would i have with using a stagea motor, what would i need to change? just looking for some advice fom someone who has done this before thanx
  13. i got 180 thousand out of a r33 gtst series one, got delvered as an import with 50 thousand kms, owner before me did 130 thousand on top of that without changing the belt
  14. no i haven't checked fuel pressure, what is factory fuel pressure? the problem is intermittent, i'm leaning towards faulty afm, or dodgy fuel pump would fuel pressure be different under load than when the car is at a stand?
  15. hey guys here is the story... i have a r33 series 1.5 1995 i was driving under load a while ago, then i blew a cooler pipe,.. after a comp test, i soon replaced my motor with a healthy rb25 after i did the engine swap, and got everything running the motor doesn;t want to rev under load, it gets to about 6 grand then splutters what i know: there are no leaks in the intercooler piping sparkplugs are new, changed spark plugs with bcpres11 gapped to 8 mm brand ew replacement nissan coilpacks, 40 thousand kms what i have checked: replced coilpacks with another set, engine is still the same some of the factory nissan hoses are split, the one on top between the two rocker covers can;t find any vacuum leaks, or pressure leaks the only thing i can really think of is my afm or ignitor pack or my aac valve i haven;t checked my afm or ignitor pack, as i have nothing to replace them with questions: i looked at my aac valce on the back of the manifold, the purple plug that is on there it has broken off, but the wires are still in tact. is this a sealed unit? will it still work even though the purple plug on the valvebody side is broken off? could the height of my sparkplugs be interfering with my coilpacks? sounds strange but i ran the coilpacks on teh sparkplugs without the coilpack holder holding them down and it went through every gear without popping under load??? i run a saas pod filter, would that interfere with the afm? in the ignition line that plugs to all the coilpacks, there is an earthing line, does this have to be earthed in any special place? ie would the earthing of it to the coilpack rail interfere with whatever it goes to? would blowing a cooler pipe disrupted something electronic? is there anything else that i might be missing at all? its a possibility that i could have gotten two dud sets of coilpacks, but i have tried mismatching the two sets for hours any help would be greatly appreciated
  16. just interested are there any other turbo's which are a direct bolt up replacement for the 25 turbo?
  17. it might be an idea to get a safc or a nistune i'm gonna look into things further
  18. interesting just curious, what differences are there between the vl turbo t3 and the rb25?
  19. nice mate, did you encounter any issues at all with running the high flow at that boost? much difference over stock? ever try to boost it up?
  20. i've heard from guys running high flowed stock turbo's on factory ecu's with no issues at all, what would be the max boost you could push the turbo to on stock ecu?
  21. even with a high flowed stock turbo a tune would be necessary? shouldn't the afm compensate for this? it wouldn't be a huge jump up from the stock turbo i wouldn't mind going to another turbo just that the convenience of having everything bolt back up no fabrication needed is there if i get it high flowed
  22. hey guys i got an r33 gtst manual with the usual bolt ons healthy stock rb25det, 3.5 inch turbo back stainless front mount cooler and water spray 12 psi 4.363 diff gears i've got a budget of around 1600, looking for a replacement turbo one option that ive considered is a hypergear high flow do highflowed stock turbo's make a big difference over the standard t3? much gain? normally the rb25 turbo's are limited by the ceramic compressor wheel, so you can;t boost it over 12-14 safely if i got a high flow, due to it having a steel wheel would i be able to wind it higher than the standard t3? supporting mods? i think the efficiency of the turbo peaks out at 18-20 psi
  23. rekon go with the pole option, easy and cheap
  24. I'm located in brisbane, got a rb25det that you can see running doesn't blow smoke or use oil head is in good nic may separate asking 550 for the head and 550 for the bottom end or 1000 bux for the two cheers pm me for more info
  25. hey mate very interested in your turbo pm me your number, i can;t send you any pm's wherebouts you located? cheers
