  2. what ever happened with this? Ive checked oil pump gear to crank clearance on a 30det with a jpc geared n1 pump and it had 6 and 7 thou a side between the crank flats and gear. Normal?

She starts stops and goes quite well, the interior is in really good condition for the age of the vehicle thought it does require some new window tint + a bonnet and front bumper respray. 100% stock apart from an aftermarket stainless dump pipe.   4. Hey guys I am here again Big strong and comfortable, we have an 80 series 4.2 Diesel GXL landcruiser for sale. She is a tidy example of an 80 series cruiser and is in original condition. Being a GXL she is top of the range with factory flares, wider track, 16 inch alloys(with good tread), full time 4wd and she is a 7 seater. Also has an aftermarket headunit in it with speakers and ipod cable. She has got 565,000 kms on the clock, been serviced every 10,000 kms (Diesel fuel filters being changed at same time) been through 2 fuel pumps+ 2 sets of injectors in its life and I have personally serviced it for the last two years. Mechanically she is A1. This vehicle belonged to the owner of a machinery fleet that I have looked after, recently needing to upgrade the owner has left it in my capable hands and its been spoiled to a new fuel pump and injectors. I am hoping for it to go to a good home that will show it the affection it deserves. The vehicle doesn't go to the beach, has no rust won't dissapoint. Ive currently sold my GTX and just purchased a 35R to throw on there. currently she only revs to 6500 rpm as anything over that it just stops making power, though still enough to run a 12.1 on 18 inch ling longs. With the 35R on there I can rev it just that little bit harder and gain that extra 1000 rpm. +fix the vct issue and I am back to where I started in terms of response. Its win win, fix vct and get similar response to the gtx without vct + have that extra 1000rpm head room to get down the 1/4 quicker.
  6. Not enough oil pressure from hydraulic lifter gallery(being low pressure, as opposed to getting feed direct from main oil gallery). I think the internal vct mod is a bit of a hit and miss some say it works others say it doesn't. All I can say is that it didn't work for me, and its a head off job to drill and tap for a vct feed line. Take a risk and find out if it works for you

  8. VCT is well worthwile having, there is a thread on it here in the 30 section. works for some and not for others, this didn't work for me. I would recommend people just use the traditional method of drill+ tap a front head feed. Because its a PITA to pull the head off again if it doesnt work for you.
  9. Sweet as, treating her to a new sump as sump ventilation is one of the easiest things to overlook with a 25/30. Getting rid of the hopes and dreams internal vct mod now goingto the traditional head feed, and slapping on a 35R for good times ahead

  13. Hello everyone Here for sale is a very Tidy R33 gtst manual turbo. It is a second owner car in australia, and has been kept in really good condition. The only modification it has is a 3 inch stainless turbo back exhaust, otherwise it is 100% completely standard ( comes with original airbox). She rides proud on original rims with 225/50's all round,with an intact front bar + reo with no rust or dings and even without rolled guards. She has an alarm, cold aircon and everything works as it should Its got 165,000 genuine kms on the clock, I am hoping it goes to a good home to someone who can appreciate just how nice stock standard GTST's drive.   15. Hey Guys Here we have a set of wheels for sale off my R33 skyline. These wheels are advanti stage and they are in awesome nick without any gutter rash or marks! These are a multi stud so will fit 5X114.3 and 4X114.3. Test Fits welcome. 17 X 8 fronts + 15 with 255/40 Kumho KU15 25% tread 17 X 9 Rears +35 with 255/40 Kumho KU36 semi slick 75% tread.   16. hey thanks for the nice shots, that second shot where you have drilled into it you wouldn;t be able to send me a high resolution copy at all would you? looks like quite a large line what size thread is that tapped? I was looking at tapping to suit a 3/8 NPT bung. From the shots I'm guessing that particular area has a wall of 4mm would that sound about right?

Ive finally got my head off time to drill and tap into the head for external oil feed. first question Ive been trying to find a way to find all attached images within this thread. looking at what people have done in the past for vct feed. Also. Is there a particular spot alont the vct feed gallery where there is alot of meat to tap into. Someone had suggested building up the alloy on the head before drilling and tapping. Whether its necessary or not I would rather find out before I pick a spot to start drilling into.
  18. i didnt notice that post until I had a look back a couple of pages. I am about to invest in an asr sump so I might be able to get a couple of bungs welded to the side for oil drains from catch can + cylinder head,
  19. vct feed via tap and drill on the side of the rb25 head. plenty of other cars working with only 1 1.5mm head feed from rear?

  21. a better option? that will definitely help with keeping the oil in the sump.
