Here we have for sale an Factory Manual R33 Turbo Skyline, This Skyline is the daily driver for my Elderly Father, and recently he is getting too old to get in and out of it so we have decided to move it on. The car has not been modified and its a really tidy original example of an R33 GTST. The paint is in very god condition and presents well, apart from the the acceptable small imperfections from being an 18 year old car. She drives brilliant and everything works the way it should (including the factory sunroof). The car has been garaged for its time with my family, and if you are looking for a dead standard Black R33 this is it. It has done 190 thousand kms however the this is not reflected by the condition of the drivetrain (has had a very lazy life of highway driving). She has been regularly serviced every 5000 kms and has never broken down once, I would expect her to do the same for her new owner. She is still registered however it will not come with rego unless negotiated. Details of the car are as follows. Factory sunroof in perfect working order. Working aircon and climate control No leaks or noises 3 inch front mount intercooler (mounted very neat) UHF 40 channel radio Aftermarket mp3 CD player Front splits and rear speakers exedy heavy duty clutch NO RUST LSD completely standard otherwise. 17 X8 rims fronts, and 17X9 rears with good tread all round. The only thing I could fault on the car is that the drivers side lumbar support has a tear due to age however this doesn't bother me. Hey guys UIve got a 30det without working vct, see internal vct mod http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/251669-rb2530-rb30det-vvt-internal-oil-control/page__st__100 I have pulled the 30det cam gear off for a bit of an inspection and assessment ( as i have oil pressure at solenoid, and everything works apart from the cam actually advancing). upon inspection I cannot move the actuator for the vct ( the internal part of the cam gear that the cam dowels into, and physically moves the cam ) Curiousity got the better of me, and I pulled the cam gear off my spare rb25det with known working vct. This thing too, I cannot move the actuator by hand. I was told that you should be able to move these actuators by hand, am I missing something here or: have I got two rooted vct cam gears/ or this is how they are meant to be and that the oil pressure + centrifugal force combines moves the cam. can someone verify off their spare known working cam gear and just check to see if you can move those actuators by hand? Ive only got these two to run off.

been trying to do alot of out of the box thinking to no avail. lol ive spent a little bit of time to test and compare between my rb25/30 and 3 rb25's. the 25/30 with internal vct mod does not pour as much oil out as the standard 25 setup (ive got 3 rb25's and they all push out more oil out of the vct solenoid plug when solenoid is removed has anyone had a play with their inlet cam cam gear, is it possible to move the adjuster (for the cam advance) by hand? i tried moving a spare cam gear that I had lying around and It was near impossible to budge it. this cam gear could be stuffed just a bit curious. contemplating swapping over inlet cam gear over for a known working unit atm
