PS3 runs 7 nvidia 512 cards and the xbox runs 5 512 ATI cards. PS controller is tryed and proven and in my opinion the best controller shape and feel you can get, i never really liked the xpox controllers. most if not all xbox games are on PC anyways (got one of those) 6 axiss is great for the right games, and all the new PS3 boxes come with dual shock controllers (ive still got the old non shock, battery lasts longer that way) most peeps buy the xbox cause its cheaper, and for the online support, which is fair enough, but PSN is free unlike Xbox live. and the MAIN reason behind buying a PS3 for me (other than the fact it was a Bday present from the missus) is the GT games, and killzone 2, greatest games ever

love to see that thing try a speed bump
-
agreed, just watched it, it was just a clever way of having shuey as the guest for the day with his Ferrari toy. the bit at the end with shuey messing up the lap in the daewoo (loved the smashed windscreen), and the coments that followed kinda made me suspect that more. otherwise, i thought the power board was only for road driveable/registered cars? those ferrari's will never see the road YAY for new UK TOPGEAR!!!!!!!!!

sweet thread, covers pretty well everything i need to know thanks

always safe on the road, rain is no problem if you give enough room........and avoid idiots. was gonna say ive never got a speeding fine but i got my first one in the mail today, 10 yrs fine free is a good run though. turns out i got it on the run home from buying the car LOL, stupid old grampas in camry's blocki9ng the way at random speeds, all the more reason to hit the mountain roads

hi guys just took a few pics on my drive to Brissie over the weekend for a rock opera of all things.. We took the scenic route this time rather than the highway all the way as i usually do, think ill do it everytime now, oh what a nice drive it was dep home 9am sat, return 6pm sunday. Route: Miles-toowoomba-crowsnest-somerset-Mt. glorious-across the city to toombul-down to southbank-then home first thing sunday morning thru the fog which was toowoomba so many km's in these first few weeks of owning the skyrine, and loving every moment (except being stuck in traffic on the ipswich mtrway on the way home.....shoulda run the mountains again. (my GF took most of the photos, as i was kinda busy driving)

wow that sucks, i got a woodgrain steerer on my Bug, but that actually looks the part. never been hastled but i guess thats cause the old cars can kill you with a door handle in a crash so the steeringwheel isnt really an issue . yeah defects cost alot, i got done a few yrs ago (and fined) in the bug for undue noise, and elegal modification (bucket seat not approved) and sent over the pits cost my 480 bucks and 2 points. 240 for the undue noise, and 240 for the defect he almost got me on ride height but i talked my way outta it

i agree its al crap, and i bet the 8 cents will look more like 9-10 at the pump. on another note, i thought V8's were less than 800 a year? im sure my mum pays about 720 for her stateo saw that my 6 months was 400 (what came with the car) and i almost fell over

ohh and a 35 gtr on samford rd yesterday number plate was GTR1, gunmetal, sex on a stick, i was too busy drooling to see my green light
-
on my uber drive from home to the coast on saturday i spotted a black GTi golf cop car pulling over a "HOON" on a motorbike just outside of samford on the way down MT glorious. unmarked obviously, with pretty lights in the grill and ive been RBTed in dalby by a black H3 hummer
-
spotted a nice R34 4 door with 34 GTR wheels in Dalby at the BP, nodded at each other but didnt chat

thnxs ill try him out. yeah got a K&N Z145A on the way to me, lol silly me to think autobarn would be able to tell me the oil filter on a RB motor im slowly compiling a whole list of major part numbers and viscosities, and and and....should have it all sorted within a year

was in the area only a month ago and heard about it, just went back to see my folks last weekend and heard its being shut down Apparently not so much the noise there etc, but all the f*&^%ing local bogans, driving the same all the way home and making a nuisance of themselves after leaving, so the idiots f*&^%ed it up for themselves. the bridge to nowhere wasnt too bad, no public to get involved etc, and a good turn out, but the cops had to shut it down i guess, it was getting to popular......i was up at the matilda servo the main night it got shut down. i saw a million cop cars and paddy wagens drive down that way, and decided to head home rather than see what was going on

just supply, doing all work myself, just got the car, changing all the oils, fluids, timing belt etc. i did some research myself, on oils and addatives, but not simple silly things like the oil filter part number. was i wrong to think an auto supply place could get that right?? done alot of reading since then anyways, so much to learn and discover

i used to cruise moronfield road back in the day in my '58 beetle, that was a long time ago though, not sure anything much happens there anymore, cops cleared it out good...been to long for me oh on another note...who of the brissie and northside area remember "the bridge to nowhere" in naragaba??

thought id say hi, ima sunny coast boy but have been living a bit west for the last yr and a half, got my skyline 3 weeks ago, and have put almost 3000km on it already, love it!!!! been back to the city last weekend for a concert/or 2 and to catch up with friends, seriously i saw 3 skylines in the one street where my mate lives in toombul....weekends the only time people drive thiers?? otherwsie cant wait to get back to civilization to do some cruising, you guys have a normal meet day and time on a weekend around maroochy area??
-
ok, heres my problem. i live 400km off the coast, so if i buy parts from a shop out of a catalogue it's really helpful if its right the first time. ive given up on supercrap long ago, and up until buying my skyline 3 weeks ago had relatively good luck with Autobarn and bursens. (repco and its uber prices can bite me in the ass) thinking about doing a timing belt/waterpump change as im not sure on my KM's, but am worried that ill get stuffed around again, as i have been for oils, filters, capacities and headlight polish...........(all simple stuff) Its my daily driver so i cant afford to have it off the road for a few weeks miles from no where with the wrong dam part in my hand....any suggestions on places where people ACTUALLY own/know/drive skylines?? R33 series II to be exact i realise i should research everything everything long and hard before hand, but i cant think of everything myself, thats what im paying them for.......right??

biggest problem ive had so far is assuming the guys at autobarn/anywhere know what theyre talking about...WRONG!!!!

HOWTO: RB25DET High Boost mode with standard solenoid
boiracer replied to paulr33's topic in Tutorials / DIY / FAQ
did this today, and wrapped my coils, gapped my plugs, drives like a different car. i have a switch i was gonna install but after hard wireing it for testing. decided there is no need to turn it down again, boost can be right foot regulated, if you have a stock car and havent done it yet, do it now!!!!!!!!!!! you wont be disapointed. i actually used a male and female blade plug on each wire, so i can just plug it back in as normal if i need to for any reason -
i wrapped em, and a fine layer of silicone underneath, worked a treat. although i only had a small miss at idle and on cold nights. i also put a switch in to turn off the 5 psi low boost, feels like a new machine, esp after giving the Aac valve a good clean, and giving it a tiny bit more idle. without these forums i woulda lived with it as is, thanks heaps to all involved in the tuts and DIY stuff, you guys rock

thanks guys that thread sorted it out good, it meses with the AFM reading, thats not something im gonna even contemplate, just sounds plain stupid on a dead standard car. love some of the replies in the link, gave me a good larf

What You Hate About Your Skyline Thread
boiracer replied to jakez88's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
R33 GTS-t seriesII 74000km's hee hee, funny read, by the sounds of it some of you need to sell your skyline and buy a brand new golf. -turning circle?? 10.4 metres from what ive read, thats pretty good for a car thats as long as a bus. -ive only had it for a week and already getting the hang of parking it the only complaints -i got is second is a bit hard to get on a cold morning the first few shifts( gearbox oil change happening very soon) -and a few tiny rattles in the drivers side dash and door, but these are only noticeable with windows closed and no music -as for ride, yes its stiff, but id rather have the occasional hard jolt than roll around the cabin for half a km after the bump -getting it up my drive way, stupid monster country roads, and the long overhang on the front bar doesnt help i live in QLD about 380km, off the coast and west up the warrego highway, truckies call it the goat track , so i was really surprised when i managed the whole trip without being a bit sore afterwards LOL ( dead standard suspension) -
ive been trawling the moutains of crap on Ebay, and came across these, how do they work? do they do anything at all? and i guess for 18 bucks you cant expect much http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi...em=200349311159
