  1. me and a mate have built 3 rb30dets and none have had the water jacket welded... altho we did use a tomei head gasket and copper sealant spray on all of them. no issues to date
  2. lol dude, fill up the brake fluid and ull be ok take it to any brake specialist and they can fix it for you, i think its illegal to remove abs if the car came fitted with it, plus why bother wen it could save your life. take it to a brake and clutch place or go to a jap wrecker and get another one, then take it to a pro to fit it or go to nissan and they can fix it for top dollar

  6. that would definately be the best way....feel free to drop me a pm if u get stuck.... im in the process of putting the rb25/30det into my r32 4door (coincidence) and iv done a few conversions before so by the end of my build i should have come across most of your problems already. in your case simplist way would be aftermarket computer or a rb25det head, with all the loom, manifolds, sensors, coils etc....r33 ecu with power fc.... all depends which option works out cheaper for your and how much you like wiring up a car if you got the money get your hands on a r33 manual box too... strongest box youll get for your money
  7. have a good read..... all depends on wot track car your putting it in and what ecu/wiring loom your using, if its a 4 door r32 like in ur profile thingo easiest (altho rare and pricey) is the rb25de head from a r32.... if not u can make a rb25det head work with patience.

  16. if your computer had a VCT function and the wiring u use has the plug and wires to the comp, then yeah u can use it providing u supply oil to that gallery. u need to supply oil there regardless to lubricate the front cam journal.... this is the confusing part becoz sume things i read contradict others.... :S

  18. well from wot i can tell, and trust me not many pl have been clear on this... wen u weld up the oil gallery in the head it stops oil coming up to the vct solenoid thus preventing it from working. u need to supply another feed sumhow (externally or the drill method) to get oil to the front cam journal or else it will starve and fail. that is how iv read it but i could be wrong.... if uv got the oil there and the loom/ecu has the ability to run vct then u can still run it.... problem is the r32 wiring loom has no plug for it and the computer cant run it on its own....
  19. thanks for the heads up, ill talk to my tuning guy and see how we go with that.... sorry i overlooked the whole supplying oil to the head that has now been welded up part of it..... so forget the original question, has anyone used these window switches and does it work well?

  21. it could probably be done but would be better to sell ur rb25 and get a rb20 one alternatively u could get the pipes for a r33and ur r32 ones and go to a aircon specialist and they can make u up new hoses to suit
