  1. Big Red.
  2. Was really looking forward to this but shame about the weather. Still it was good to get out, support the SAU and take a few pics - also met Josh and Kristian from Sydney - not sure of their forum names. As you can see, it was a skating rink, and I think this is Ash (R31Nismoid) having a good go. I've got 350 pics to go through, so I'll post a few to show people that couldn't make it what they missed out on....
  3. Start of the TA was a shocker, just too much damned water, ruined a great day. Hoping for a better weekend next year
  4. You don't have that oil filler cap for sale do you - visible in both engine bay images.
  5. Last two were done at 3000kms - this upcoming one I'll do at 5000kms. I like to keep my "old lady" running as good as possible.
  6. Gonna be there on Saturday, hope to see SAU kick some butt
  7. Are examples needed, or can we simply judge it visually - for example, this is a slick in my opinion.
  8. Completely agree. Even if we look at the engine emissions legislation we can be positive and confident that VR38DETT is not going to disappear in a hurry. Euro 6 is only starting on the Sept 2014.
  9. This is what I found on the WRX forum - they say the dates are all confirmed. Feb- Drag Day Heathcote 12th Feb March- Calder Sprint Track Day 24th March April- Sandown Sprint Track Day 28th April May- Deca Carrum Downs Motorkana 13th May June- Winton Sprint Track Day 30th June July- Phillip Island Sprint Track Day 21st July August- Sandown Sprint Track Day 11th August September- Winton Sprint Track Day 1st September October- Haunted Hills Hill Climb 13th October
  10. So...let me get this right. You got some MY11 intake pipes, Akra exhaust (presume full system), AMS intercoler and piping with the MAF sensor, and the Spec-V IHI turbo, and on only 19PSI on 98RON you put out 441kw ATW - PHARK ME. Thats unreal Hope you have fun up Mt Baw Baw - its a great run.... not so great in wet though.
  11. Straight line maybe, through corners, not so easily. Anyway - good for the sport, its going to be funny seeing NISMO flags on top of Mt Panorama next year
  12. Nothing at all - he is an awesome driver, had a pleasure seeing first hand how quick he is during a Porsche driving course few years ago. If it was driven by some regular steerer time would probably be high 1:40's-low 1:50's.
  13. Indeed a very impressive time for the MY2011 - 1:43.39 at P.I. is pretty awesome for a completely stock car, driven by Luffy though.
  14. White 2011 at BP on Canterbury Rd Heathmont - rego was NAFTA1. Looked great, sounded even better, pretty sure it had an aftermarket pipes.
  15. Does not seem excessive, from 160K to 100K is about right, but IMO it will start to slow down now. This is from redbook - sell prices, forget about the advertised prices: $100,100 - $108,800 for 09' premiums. My guesses, as good as any - 100-110K for a 3 year old one, maybe 90-95k for a 4 year old one, 85k for a 5 year old one, until they bottom out around 60-65k for a 10 year old examples. If there is no successor, R36, then I'd expect them to bottom around 75-80K.
  16. This car will be perfect for PI - hope to see you there in July for the WRX/SAU club sprint
  17. ......or make it at Sandown on that day
  18. I just know that when I visited Mazda factory in Hiroshima that photography was not allowed, so presume the same applied when 32-33-34's were being created at Mushashimurayama.
  19. Or just demand your panel beater to buy you a new rim and he can keep that old rim and hang it off a wall of his workshop as a reminder to be more careful with customer cars. Hitting a gutter is a clear sign of care less for customer's cars - in 10+ years of driving I am yet to hit a gutter.
  20. 1. Thread / Post of the year My link and this post by Birds made me ROFLMAO: "Ha ha Kieren fell for it, what a f**." 2. Rookie of the year Can I vote for myself here.........since nobody else will 3. She'll buff right out award PaulR32GTR - heartbreaking - every trackday I walked past his 34 nursing a semi, pure hotness, and now she's gone - damn, at least she's gone fighting. 4. Motorsport junkie Ant97 - and his reaction at Sandown after posting his PB, bouncing of the walls. 5. Most improved car No idea - definitely not my car. 6. It's not a Skyline but we still love you award Not everyone packs an 'R – the trophy for a member without stove-tops. 7. Photo of the year I'll email some, have a few reasonable ones. 8. The Troy S. Brisby Memorial Trophy -. 9. Club member of the year I don't know that many people so leave this one to the longer term members to decide, plenty of helpful guys at the track helping us newcomers, and they deserve a mention, Martin, John, Ant. 10. President's award Awarded by the president's discretion. Nominating for this wont do you any good.
  21. ....needs aftermarket matte black rims, to finish off the pose theme.
  22. How long can this type of wrap last?
  23. So will they be running that Nismo track prepared R35, or is there a special GT3 version in the pipeline?
  24. Don't be like that Ash, he's a GTR-King after all
