  1. Could you more experienced guys post some good videos so us beginners can learn the lines around Sandown. Hope weather is better then for round 4.
  2. Apparently he went via an emergency lane and got onto a track without being waved through, then he "missed" 2 black flags. I was also disappointed - not fair to penalise the entire field because of one guy misbehaving. We lost 1.5 hrs of track action because of it.
  3. Same here - awesome day, really stoked with my 1:59.5999. Pretty happy for my first ever car track day, car performed great. To go any faster I need: A) bigger gonads B) more handling C) more powaaaa
  4. I've heard from a work mate that 5000's are the best value for money rotors around - and this guy is a trackday junkie. Yes, 4000 do crack, but not 5000's. Personal expereince - I wouldn't bother with Bendix pads if you are into spirited driving, mountains etc - get some Ferodo DS2500's.
  5. I have a set of those on my car now. Does anybody know what I should start them on, cold pressures, hot pressures. Doing a trackday soon.
  6. Does anybody know what time scrutineering starts? What about the driver briefing - what time is that suppose to be? How about the first session, sighting laps. I presume that would start 9am but I'm not really sure.
  7. I'll take the lightest person - cheers
  8. Does anyone know the thinking behind splitting people in driver training across three different groups - some are in 3, some are in 4 some are in group 5.
  9. That was a very nice lap. So with the double apexing of the Southern Loop - you reckon guys on street tyres shouldn't even try it - it is because of all the rubber marbles on the outside. I have Dunlop Direzza's Z1* - I got no idea if they'r any good. If anybody has any idea what pressures I should run I'm all ears - thanks in advance.
  10. Yeah. Same here. Just watching youtube videos trying to learn some lines
  11. LOL - so you running 315's on the rear and 285's on the front .........................I don't think that's enough rubber
  12. I know it says hybrid on the hips, but unless Porsche has changed the cooling design for the battery packs then the pics are simply of another GT3R, non hybrid one - GT3R-Hybrid has the cooling slits, in attached pic marked in red.
  13. I am 184cm tall, and I have adjusted my seat to a decent distance from the steering wheel, not like a Chapel street cruiser, and the angle from the seat to the rear bottom seat belt bolts from the horizontal is 38degrees - and CAMS states a maximum of 40deg, and with 0-10deg being a recommended range. If a driver is shorter chances are his seat will be even further forward, hence the angle will be less than what I have.
  14. Stretch...isn't 285 a standard tyre width on the rear?
  15. CAMS rules just state that it has to be capable of being removed without the use of tools.
  16. That's a ripoff - when bikes do trackdays its $10 per bike, and you usually have 4 bikes per single car garage.
  17. So, if I mount it in the same way as ant1997 did, behind the drivers seat, using a larger base plate that is secured to the car with a single large bolt that holds the back seat cushion - and then use 2 bolts to secure the extinguishers bracket to this base plate - is that ok or not?
  18. Looked like a good day from where I was standing
  19. AFR for 09 is unreal - almost completely linear.
  20. 360kW at the wheels - with exhaust and tune - damnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn. That's HOT. I just saw a blue one at the Melbourne Motor Show - looks unreal. GMG and Ti used to look the best colours on 09/10's (IMO), but blue just bumped them one spot lower. PS: Would love to see some more dyno graph comparisons Martin - if you can spare an hour.
  21. Oh yeah, I'll have one of those spots, if they are still available. Shoot me a PM with further details, payment method etc. Cheers
  22. That's not a car - - - that's a stealth fighter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Great.
  23. So your uncle lives in Bennet Springs estate in Beechboro, WA........and he has 2 new R35's... If its a new estate I'm not surprised something like this happened - I always hear bad things happen in these new estates...
  24. Then what - just use it. Pretty sure 8100 only comes in 5W-40, I have it in my car now for just over 2,000kms and no problems. Car runs smoothly, oil has turned dark brownish, can't notice any issues. I'd recommend 8100, either one.
  25. I find these guys are the best - ace is full of arrogant losers that black flag people for no reason, somerton is good, and fast: My link
