  1. That would mega suck. Any idea if Oz R35 numbers have cracked 500 yet, or its nowhere near that number?
  2. Are there any issues with spectating? I just wanted to do a bit of look-see, talk to people, see how the event is run, see what I need to do before I hit the track later in the year.
  3. This is what Motul France recommends.
  4. 92,000 miles - that's some weird odo On the other hand, if the engine is serviced well and everything was well within tolerance since new, since things vary, not all engines are the same even when new, having a good compression even with 100K is nothing strange IMO.
  5. I just did an oil change after running Penrite Everyday full-synt 10W-40 for the last 2,500kms. Car had 102,500kms when I put that oil in, and now I just gave it some Motul 8100 x-cess 5W-40. To be honest, I thought Penrite did a good job, but decided to try something different. Penrite oil was completely black after 2500 kms, so now I'll check if Motul looks the same after similar number of kms. Car did not use any oil during this period which is a good start. I'll also check for this really heavy burnt smell I had with Penrite from the start, it just smelled like it was burning, but some people on this forum said that this smell and blackness of oil is normal - lets wait and see how Motul goes.
  6. I had a massive trouble getting them on, ended up spraying a tiny bit of WD40, but those are not scratches, or I'd be mega pissed off if they are - they are simply dirty because I was sitting in the car and my shoes were wet, dirty, so I left a dirty mark - I probably should have wipped them before taking a pic though PS: People, definitely use some oil or WD40, something to lubricate the rubber or you will struggle to put them on. These are worse than stock rubber pedals to fit since rubber is thicker around the edges.
  7. Here it is, all fitted up - really like the look of these.
  8. On the R33, and on this pic attached from the R34, you can see a grey rubber like material - this material allows a snug fit, without it the pedal is pretty loose on the metal. Two bushes I got are the round one that sits in the bottom of the pedal and the clip-like bush that holds the top of the pedal. Footrest, clutch, brake and the accelerator pedal are all in the car - looks like I won the race, pfffewww, it was a close run one PS: total price for my full set was under $200, including parts, shipping, money transfer costs etc. PS2: $169 for this group buy is in my opinion unbelievable price BTW.
  9. Ahh ha, here is my problem - you can see these little rubbers on the wire itself, that sorts out the difference in diameter - hmmm, might try some heat shrink, or something like that to make it sit nice and tight.
  10. Damn, Got all my parts on Thursday - and I'm having difficulties fitting the accelerator pedal - looks like the metal is of a slightly smaller diameter, so the pedal with those two bushes is loose...hmmmm.
  11. well, 2 week wait is pretty usual if they are buying through Nissan Japan. My order also took 2 weeks to process. PS: my complete set of parts have all been sent on saturday, hope to have them here by the end of the week, but probably next week. I do hope it includes footrest, otherwise I'll LOL. Its like a damed unobtanium this footrest part, damn.
  12. Same here - 17cm speakers, the pic shows approximate size of the speakers I pulled out of my car, crappy paper cone clarions.
  13. You talking about the CV boots - easy fix, of course, it can be fixed. Get a new boot and spend a day with mates and a slab of beer doing it
  14. It's gonna be a tight race who will receive theirs first - my full complement of parts arrived to my shipping agents place in Japan today, and will be sent hopefully this week.
  15. Still don't know myself - depends on how much the shipping will be - when I get them in my car I'll post a pic and a total cost.
  16. By the way, these are the correct part numbers: 1. Foot Rest Panel - 67845-AB000 2. Clutch pedal - 46531-AB000 3. Brake Pedal - 46531-AB000 4 Bush - 18014-AB001 5 Bush - 18014-AB000 6 Accel pedal - 18016-AB000 I just ordered a set from Nissan parts in Japan - they advised ETA 20th May,now lets see who gets their quicker, although you guys have an unfair head start
  17. Pics would be great dude. Just by going by your explanation - it seems like awful lot of damage - are you certain you will manage to keep the structural integrity of the whole chassis after so much cutting and re-welding? Seems like you may not end up with two cars stuck together, but pretty close to it
  18. For a previous poster = not trolling ok. Birds - don't worry mate, I'l get some AMSOIL 10W-40 instead.
  19. 1st time I saw it I couldn't resist - bought it that same day. 2 previous owners, both in their late 50's, before me - well cared for, in original condition. I am still surprised I managed to find this, but looks these cars hidden in sheds still exist
  20. Hi Birds - just a query about this S6000 oil people are talking about. Is it impossible to buy in the shops? How much is it for a 5L? I'm 1000kms away from my next service, got the filter already, Bosch filter, and now I'm chasing some oils - maybe AMSOIL AMO 10W-40, or maybe I try this S6000 if I can buy some somewhere, or of you. Cheers.
  21. Sry for hijacking the thread. How difficult/easy is to access and replace this nylon bush - can it be all done from inside the car. Does this nylon bush require replacing, do they get worn - reason why I'm asking is that I'm just chasing some more "feel" when I'm changing gears and just wodnering if new bush would provide me with a more solid shift-feel.
  22. Cool - hmmm, damn, and there was I selecting the oil for like an hour, then just grabbed the FF-LSD - oh well, next time I'll be more careful.
  23. This was a mega ROFL dude, good one.
