  1. Possibly having an option to live and work in Japan for 18mths and off course would like to bring a car back as a personal import. Racking my brains on what would be a good car to bring back, off course things like BNR34 are an option but would like to see if anyone has any better ideas. Budget of under/around 5,000,000 yen.
  2. Is that the regular way how Nissan applied sealant underneath the car, as shown in the center image in the post above?
  3. This conversation is way too premature. Looks like one semi-certainty is the SEVS eligibility criteria change, which may not be tied in with the MVS Act amendments. I will celebrate an opportunity to buy new car from UK or Japan after Senate approves the Act changes - until that time Senator Xenophon and similar types can torpedo the whole thing just because some crazy Dutch guy wants to buy Elizabeth plant and want to build some cars for export employing a handful of bogans - as if that will ever stand up that idea, what a joke. Auto supplier are all leaving or going bust and he thinks he'll create a viable business selling some aberration of a car.......
  4. But you'll still have to pay LCT, GST and stamps, plus rego, transport costs. You'll also lose some on the money exchange. You'll quickly find that the Aussie prices of R35 are pretty spot on, ie not a rip-off.
  5. BCNR33-024069. Thank you.
  6. Listen to this man 1st timers or this may happen ...don't ask how I know.
  7. Terry, did you end up picking up that 32 N1 from carsales - was advertised a month ago I believe? Looked mint.
  8. This is not your car getting "some stuff done" is it http://blog.garage-yoshida.net/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/IMG_8000.jpg
  9. I'm sure everyone knows about this site but in case you do not please enjoy some BNR32 and BCNR33 fully refurbished car pron: http://garage-yoshida.net/car.html I'll do my best to visit them in April/May and if I do I'll make sure I post some more pics.
  10. Yeah, that was me because scrutineers didn't recognize OEM latching as suitable, as Leroy Peterson already noted, so had to run that PITA wire loops as my tertiary. It was just a hassle to install and always made me worried if I have an under bonnet fire if I'd be able to disconnect it in a hurry to use the fire extinguisher.
  11. Singlets and t-shirts ey - wonder who was doing scrutineering.....
  12. Glad to see that BS with having secondary bonnet restraint device is gone.
  13. Hey hey hey, c'mon man, I got dibs on that bad boy - told you guys I want my old car back FFS....why nobody listens.
  14. Nice N1 - well, bring on that powerball, will call Friday morning then
  15. Damn. I just wanted to pm him to see if he ever considers selling it to contact me - now, you can contact me man, congrats
  16. If the fed government changes the import rules later this year I can really see BNR34 and other cars tanking in price. Instead of the 16 year old R34 I guess lot of people will just get the R35 for 50-60K.
  17. I want my car back man
  18. Did you sell it yet?
  19. Fark me, how much the car scene has changed. I still remember RE Customs when they were in Nunawading, before they re-branded Performance Exhaust actually moved to Nunawading/Vermont. Its currently located in Trade Place.
  20. Yeah, until it blows itself to pieces, then its just a pile of junk.
  21. I personally reckon it looks like crap - really not going to miss, especially since GMH confirmed that the RHD is not going to be available.
  22. Sooner or later someone will bring one to Oz as a personal import.
  23. 1mm toe OUT front - geee, put it 1mm toe IN and you'll be sweet.
  24. Well thank you Sir - glad you appreciate my style.....
