  1. Was it a 100 or 95K ?
  2. Redbook says: $122,400 - $132,400..........seems pretty spot on for me. More spot on than people advertising for 150-155K for 6 months, hoping for someone to buy. If you want to sell you will sell for what redbook says, since many buyers will not pay more than what redbook states. Yes, data may be skewed, but I would not call it wrong for cars less than 5 years old - pretty correct for those I reckon.
  3. I agree that the selling price is what matters, and who better is to list the selling price tha redbook. I think redbook is the one to follow. Its not what people want, its what people get - there is a black one on carsales, it has been for sale for 3+ months now, at 147K, and no buyers.
  4. I reckon R33 with canola oil would kick your bunny hopping R35 Gt-Ricer, for sure
  5. Guess they are losing value quicker than thought. This dude had it advertised for 139, than 136 than 134 now 128K. Redbook says 60% for a 3 year resale, which bring it to 100K. Would love to see how it all pans out in 4.5 years or so, when all these leased ones start popping up in the market, with people needing to sell them, not just dreaming to sell used ones for 170K like these dreamers on carsales.
  6. And what happened to the 5% tariff reduction - it disappeared in thin air somewhere bewteen the Nissan HQ at Dandy and all the dealerships lol.....
  7. Ahhh, so cute, a heart shaped G plot graph )) Since you are getting up to 0.9G in left handers and 1.3ish G in right handers does that mean right handers are on camber, or it simple means that left handers are not suited for faster corner speeds??
  8. So what would be the approximate cost and the extent of mods to achieve this 0.8 sec improvement?
  9. I'm sorry to hear that - would love to see it's new brother doing something like this at 150km/h around the Southern Loop. If I were you I would pack it up in the shipping container, send it to Europe and spend a whole month driving around - that continent is made for driving, not Oz - too restrictive, with 80-100kmh speed limits. I seriously doubt you could have fun on the roads near Melbourne, unless doing speed limit plus a bit is fun for some.
  10. You'r on drugs about Nissan having high CofG, having bad design or high roof line etc - Ring time of 7mins 26secs tells you everything you need to know about the R35's prowess.......and people that are into cars know how much an Oz delivered R32's are going for, redbook puts them all into the same basket:Oz Delivered R32 GTR Porsche and GT-R keep approximately the same value. Judging by recent 2005 997 911 advertised it should be around 65% in 5 years time.
  11. Nissan did not pass a cent of the 5% tariff reduction to its customers - great job Nissan, great job.
  12. I'd really love to know what his intended purpose is - posting on a Skyline forum stuff about his 500K gt2, which pretty much nobody on this forum can even dream about let alone afford.
  13. What a bummer
  14. They are not selling - they are being advertised and that is a big difference, hence its hard judging how much it depreciated. Personally, most of these cars have been on carsales for at least 2-3 months, and they are not getting sold. I'd still be very surprised if GT-R performs better than 911 for example, red book valuation for a 2005 model 911 is $106,300 - $116,100, for a 2006 is $118,800 - $129,200, and its all for a rrp $195,000 911. Lets see who will pay more for a Nissan than for the Porsche, regardless how many G's or how fast it does quarters. Forgetting the dreamers on carsales - at least redbook guys know how much they are being sold for, not how much they are being advertised for - this is for the R35 GT-R: Valuation Prices * Private Price Guide$123,600 - $133,700 * Trade In Price Guide$111,400 - $121,500 * Average Km10,000 - 20,000 Price Guide$159,800* Price Guide
  15. If we are allowed to bring in second hand JDM's built prior to 2-09 then the market will flood as soon as Nissan stops selling ADM's - hmmm, if this is true indeed than that will be a day . . .as far as I care they may stop selling ADM's tomorrow, no, today actually.
  16. Here is the news snippet in question: Tariff reduced prices
  17. Just wondering, nobody has metnioned anything recently. Going by the latest The Australian news article looks like everyong from Jag, Ferrari, Porsche to Audi has lowered prices. Would love to know what Nissan will do.
  18. Rent - Smaller towns, 5manyen per month, 8 manyen(1000 bucks) in Osaka for a single room. Car parking in big cities may cost 3manyen per month, smaller cities and towns 1-1.5manyen per month, so if you have a free parking it all helps. Rego and insurance - no idea, but I doubt it would be cheap. For something like R35 I would be very surprised if you would pay anything less than 3-4,000 bucks per year to insure, as ex-pat, and for a fairly exxy car. So unless you have a great job there, and free accomodation and parking, and you are going there anyway and car buying thing is secondary thing I wouldn't bother. But if it works out for you, you could have an R35 for $75,000 - not bad dude. Good luck anyway.
  19. Ok fellas - will be in touch with both of you to get this ball rolling. cheers.

    Buying A R35

Ok - my error, that one is not, but who knows if it will be sold by the time people get their shyte in order.
  21. I know someone will direct me toward the best person/company, or it may be even one of our resident car importers(Beer Baron, Iron Chef ...) that will get my business, and that will make me happy. I'm in Melb, and seriously I cannot find anything decent in the country/carsales that catches my attention. There are a few of those ones on Carsales, but they are mostly modded, or they have questionable kms, 30,000kms with worn steering wheel and worn seats, pff, no way, maybe more like 130,000kms - so I'm after a fresh one, with some history backing up the odo readings and its condition. One of those that you can see with the seat covers and steering covers on in Japanese car yards. Something like this, but hopefully cheaper:Excellent condition R34 V-spec II I'm basically after a 100% stock, excellent condition V-Spec II or the Nur. My preference is silver, or blue if no silver ones are around. If its impossible to find stock I would be willing to go for a minor modded ones, exhaust, wheels, pods but nothing that would have damaged the interior(drilling dash for gauges etc):Slightly modded V-spec II So, what do people reckon - who do I go and talk to that will get me this beast - and I want to have 100% confidence that when these guys buy it its gonna be ok, and inspected properly. I'm in no hurry, so basically would love to have a car by 1st October, so second half of the year is what I'm looking in getting it in my garage. Anybody, I'm all ears, listening to suggestions. Gotta get the ball rolling.

    Buying A R35

You people simply do not listen - all these R35's on Prestige have been sold already, they are gone. I found one on jap site that is maybe eligible for import but I doubt it would still be around, and price was high too, but seriously guys, who ever is after the R35 the ADM is the best option, at the moment. The only other thing it may happen is if dotars, or what ever they are called these days, allows the pre-Feb-2009 to be imported as used aswell. This is something that I quite do not get, why allow only new ones, but not the second hand ones. Then you may get it cheap, 5,000,000 yen or so, and it would cost you around $85,000 here, everything paid for, taxes, rego, compliance, etc. Chances of dotars allowing used pre-Feb-2009's into the country - not sure, but I reckon people should press them for it. There is simply no reason to allow only new, but not second hand ones, there is no reason for that rulling at all.

    My R35

Awesome - you could see a smoke out the drivers window. You reckon it had something to do with you putting the suspension setting to softer, if I'm not mistaken, as you were going down the straight..
  24. He, just thinking of going there to have a look-see. Trying to get back into the car scene after a few years hiatus. Any suggestions, recomendations on viewing spots. Will there be a decent enough action to warrant a 10hr trip each way?

    Buying A R35

Don't forget you won't get the super-dooper headlight washers either - those would be badly missed
