  1. Its what it said in one of those buying guide links, the clipping point link - I also find it very surprising since RB-26 is known as a strong engine. I'm not taking much attention to that. If the owner takes care of his RB26DETT powered beast, and does not abuse it I would be very comfortable with a 100,000kms "old" one.
  2. Thanks for this topic and help guys - very useful. I'm only a bit worried about this mention of engine rebuild at 100,000kms, that seems awfully low - wondering if forum members have had some experience with this.
  3. BS is that all these cars are holding price just because of the AUD-Yen exchange rate - if the rate goes in importers favour the price will drop - its simple as that.
  4. I do agree - auction cars are not as good as some you can see on in the japan performance caryards, or on goo-net. Although I'm not saying all auction cars are junk, guess their grade tells you a story.
  5. Jeeeeeez dude - wasn't aware that you saw a latest condition of my portfolio - hey, this is not some scumbag povvo on the other side of the keyboard buddy.
  6. Excellent topic - definitely helpful for people looking for a decent, straight R34 GT-R. Thanks.
  7. Spending anything more than 80K for anything made in Oz is simple insanity.
  8. Just to clarify - AU$105K road registered in Oz, nothing else to pay. That's great. So this: http://www.goo-net.com/usedcar/spread/goo/...0090627001.html Here in your driveaway for 105K, or possibly less - knock yourselves silly, just teach english in Japan for 12 months he he he.
  9. If you'd buy one in Japan or UK now, lets say for 600manyen, that would cost you just over 100K, to be exact AU$105K using todays exchange rate. Catch is, of course, that you need to own it for 12 months in Japan or UK or anywhere else, before you can bring it back to Oz and road register it. Hmmm, I may feel like a 12 month Japan holiday sooner or later
  10. Red inserts look crap - I'd take them out.
  11. You can always go and steal one - bet you you'll see a few around Hoppers Crossing hehehe.
  12. This is BS, its not real. Just read what it says on the plaque, nonsense. What would the lap of the ring had to do with it.
  13. Only a 2008 model with less than 200kms on the odo - new 2008 cars only - can be imported. If you have a car like that then I'm sure you'll find who has the complaince plates etc.
  14. Bloody Brian O' Conner, should have driven an NSX he he he he.
  15. Hmmmm - fair enough. I'd tend to agree, now, that with the last of RB26DETT powered car it may keep its value a bit better, but even that won't help the dreamers. anyway, lets hope dollar-yen exchange goes in the importers favour a bit and then I'll see. Cheers everybody.
  16. My observations only here-but I look at the R34 GT-R on carsales every now and then, and they are too expensive. I do not see them being sold at all, same old cars are still sitting on the website for the last 6months at least. I also compare the R34 to the M3 E46, and M3's are getting cheaper and cheaper, but R34's prices are now on par with the M3, but when new M3 was 20K more expensive.
  17. The dude in the middle lane that got buzzed he he he, he would have had a fright of his life.

Comment about this ad: well, I reckon its an absolute BS - they are trying to sell a DEMO for a price of a new one. The only thing they don't charge here is the dealer delivery. 158K + stamp duty. Hmmmmmmmmmm, BS, would never pay this price for a thrashed car IMHO.
  19. Nissan Australia pharked it - de-tuned the boost to 12 Psi for hot Aussie summers so VR38DETT's do not ping and implode, and I bet you money this is an issue and reason why your one is bit slower to 100kmh than what the JDM's or USDM's are getting.
  20. Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, GT-Ricer is the same guy that cannot get his R35 to do anything better than 4.3sec 0-100km/h. Jeeezzz, not good buddy, I'd be mega pissed of also.
  21. I hear you.............
  22. This looks like a shocker. I find all leather seats usually pretty bad quality, they show their age after a few years - wish an option of alcantra is available, but even alcantra breaks after lot of use.
  23. Ugly in yellow - but it comes in quite a few great colours GT-R does not - titanium, blue........plus it has nav, he he he, GT-R suckers. PS: just joking, relax, alrite.
  24. Something is wrong here guys - we get bent over for the price of the cars thanks to the great tax system and protectionism for some retards that work at GMH or Ford Oz that probably drives a Hyundai himself. Get bent over for the money, then we get the least optioned vehicles around, or we get no options at all. WTFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF. PS: I'm just having a rant, sorry, I'm pissed off.
  25. You must mean 242km/h.
