Thanks for that, so basically the GTS4 box bolts pretty much straight up? The long term aim is for around 500whp so in the long run a GTR box would probably be required... would it be possible to simply swap the input shafts from the GTS4 box? or would they too not be strong enough?

hi basically, I have the option to buy a N/A auto 4wd R33 for very cheap ($4k or there abouts) and the main issue for me is, how hard would it be to convert it to manual? I realise there are plenty of threads on how to do it and this isnt so much the problem. Main problem is which box to use, Ideally would use manual box from another 4wd R33 (maybe R32 gts4 box, depending on strength?)but unsure of strength? how much roughly in whp are these things capable of handling? are they similiar in strength to the turbo boxes? another thought is RB25det box but im guessing you cant wack the transfer case from the auto onto that (doh) Also there is the option of a GTR box out of an R32, what would be required to get this to work? ie changing input shafts etc? sorry bout it bein kinda long hehe any help would be much appreciated =)
