Everyone told me it wasn't going to be easy or cheap and when you can't do a lot of the work yourself then it becomes a monumentus task... I was thinking of giving up and selling it but this would be the easy way out. I've had experience being part of a couple race teams and have seen the blood sweat and tears that goes into these cars to just get them to the track. I guess I'm lucky because I can afford to do it. I've gone too far to give up... The car has cost me $160K+ including all upgrades fixes, trailer, getting to the track etc... My biggest disappointment to date is that I did not run the numbers at WTAC. Lucky we had John Boston on board who drove around the issues and managed the 1:34.5. I would have been lucky to crank into the high 30s. I've been struggling with some health issues and being overweight and unfit has not helped. I bought the car to challenge myself to get close to a respectable time. The target is set... No excuses, hopefully we can sort out the issues and get me in the car... Let the real fun begin!!

Yeah its pretty cool to look at and I've had a few Jim Beams just sitting there looking over it and thinking what to do next... But its a waste !!

The car is still sitting on stands ... I'm lacking the motivation to put together a to-do list and get it sorted and out on the track...

The 1:34 was good but the car had a much better time in it. We struggled with a misfire problem, had a problem with the brakes, blew the turbo gasket and had the catch can filling up with oil going all over the front RH wheel under higher boost due to a plumbing mistake. I drove the car in practice but John Boston was much faster and due to the problems and the fact that the car was competitive I could not go for joy rides during the event. The car went our for four of the six sessions one of them it was breaking down too much. The car is sitting on car stands and I have not looked over it. Its got a few oil leaks but at least it is still in one peice. John Boston reckons it could have done a 32 or maybe a 31 if he had a clear lap and the motor was not breaking down. Not sure what I will do with it now... I guess I will put the list of things thst need to get done then decide early in the new year.

Made it to WTAC !!! The car still has a couple issues but survived the practice day. The wing seems to work well.

Got out the other week for some testing at SMP. It was good to get a feel for the car around the full GP circuit and was surprised that not many other WTAC cars were out. We have some prolblems with one of the injectors, motor was knocking on one cylinder. We turned the boost right down and ran 5 sessions. We put the new 295s on the car for the last session and it didn't rub. I received the Topstage GT wing (huge) and front undertray. I'm looking to try and get these on the car this week. It would be great if they pit us together. I'm going to be in the same pit as the other two Tunehouse cars. It would be good if we can be next door. I only received the 6466 today its not on the car yet... Have not put them side by side yet to see the physical size difference. What turbos you guys running? ...I've 160 litres of fuel, one old set of 265s and a new set of 295s, packed the trailer and will be heading out first thing in the morning.

Wierd angle of the front end with the old Blitz Intercooler which is I think about 8 years old still doing a good job... The standard front end and guards still all there. I'm not worrying about saving weight as we are focusing on getting the car out to the track and me getting used to it.

No prob, I'm testing on Friday and if we can't clear the guards, I have some spare ones (that I got with the car) that I will have a play with...

Dahn & Steve, It will be good to catchup with you guys and fly the flag for the GTR supporters at WTAC... I'm out on Friday testing at SMP.

Still no PM on the cost of buying your fibreglass guards ?? I've got the wheels on with the standard rolled guards and it looks ok but might need an option after Fridays practice ...

I've got a body and paint shop that I use in Sydney called Bodytech... They can get it done quick and do a fantastic job... I might give Pete a call and see what he reckons...

Thanks for the offer on the front guards just pm me what you want for the fibreglass front guards and send me some current pics of what they currently look like... I will let you know if I am interested. I was hoping for a bolt up straight fit solution to the front guards and Im anticipating the rear is not going to be that straight forward. Im not looking for a long term solution as the car will be going on a diet after WTAC and Im going to have a proper look at the aero. My priority is to get the mechanical, electrical and chassis sorted and get some seat time... Everything has to work and be reliable hence the looks are not so important for my first WTAC...

I ordered Topstage GT3 Wing!! ... Ok ... next hurdle... I need to find some wider front fenders and need to widen rear wheel arches/body. Any Ideas suggestions?

New fuel system was fired up today. New Turbo should be delivered by end of next week. Will need to wait for Jim (Tunehouse) to get back before it gets tuned. Gives me two weeks to get everything else done. Still need to choose wing, get it and sort out mounting. Front bar needs to be remounted and secured better as it broke the side mounting bolts and was dragging on the ground at speed. Ive been away, back tommorrow... Time to pull the finger out!!

Thanks... Freddy seems pretty good. See how I go. I like his front diffuser too. Need to find someone to make the wing mounts. Thinking of going around the back and under the car ala GT3 style??
