amazing build but wouldn't have taken long to add a remote control feature.

mad082: turbo laws don't affect me. i made sure of that by rushing to get my auto license before the laws came into affect. ill be on holidays for 3 months, with occasional work, so ill have plenty of time to learn. ill finally have a decent working aircon, will make summer driving more enjoyable. leaning towards the r32s. going to inspect some this weekend. probably will inspect another s14 and a 180 before i decide.

if it is casual work, you'd need to be short hours over the long run would be enough to pay back the loan and pay for the car. I recommend saving a bit more, just in case hours randomly drop.
-
you would think that is a good option, however to rent a car, drive must be 25 and full licensed. ill learn on the car i buy, spent the last 4 years driving, 2.5 years on P's. should be able to pick it up quickly with daily practice. which is the only thing stopping me currently. yeh I am. still stuck as passenger for now however, i cant remember you. that was too long ago, i suck at names and you meet some many people in the car scene, my head hurts i think ill focus more on grip racing in the future. currently leaning towards the skyline, i thrash my current car, considerably slower but yeh, doubt that ll change. with fuel efficiency, anything is better then what i currently drive.

not always, a lot of mods can be considering minor or major depending on the cop and the driver. major is usually safety wise, ie, bald tyres ect. major for too low is a dick move unless springs are cut. then its understandable.

R32 Gts-t Or Bmw M3 E36?!
Peter89 replied to joachimgjensen's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
modifying an M3 wouldn't be cheap and neither would maintenance. save up and get a GTR? -
hock turns are annoying however, i try to avoid driving in the city anyways. too much traffic, too many rules like lanes with only 1 direction ie, must turn right and no right turns. plus the huge amount of police and idiots walking around the city at night.
-
i know r33s are good performance wise, however still on p plate thus illegal plus i would rather a smaller, lighter car. been driving a large car for long enough.
-
and it is still legal, for some. in victoria, it ll still be legal till 31st of may 2010 (last day you could get the true old p's + 3 years. actually, now to think of it, there ll still be a few after that, all those that lost their licenses that ll push them over may 2010 till they get their fulls.) safe to say, by 2011, 99% of p plater's wont be allowed to.

considering NS isn't a used as it once was. ill re-post my question here to get another angle and probably better responses. So i finally have enough cash to start looking at the low end of the cars i would want, however still not sure what i should get, even after 9months on the forum. Currently looking into s14 series 1 (ADM models) or r32 skylines gts-t (the later years). a friend owns a near stock type x and the SRs pull well, decent amounts of down low torque while on the other hand, the rb20s have considerably less torque but more top end. considering the way i will be driving the car, its going to have to take a decent amount of limiter bashing (well, at least compared to other cars around the same price range) while some will say, go drive both cars and find out which car you like better. well, the problem with that is, i still really cant drive a manual (cant learn if you dont own one, neither do my parents), not good enough to take one for a test drive thus have an automatic restriction on my license. i plan to buy the car, learn and resit the test and no, i dont have to worry about bs turbo restrictions. i have driven a friends r32 however, it wasnt very stock, had considerably more power then stock plus different turbo so different response. what would you do? remember the car will be a daily and probably will see the track in the future plus, the hills.

by prove, that's what i meant, what cops say = fact, unless you can prove otherwise. plus, multiple people giving different statements then the police gave, would be far better then nothing. he needs every little advantage, since there aren't many.
-
they have to prove you were actually racing and if your telling us the entire story, only going at 50ks isn't racing. you ll need some witnesses to back you up, best if they weren't in either of the cars. even better if you didn't personally know them. i suggest spending decent money on a lawyer, depending how much you value your license. unfortunately the road laws are really guilty until proven innocent and without a lawyer or witnesses, you're going to get screwed.

it's fake sometimes get distracted looking a girls, but usually make sure the road is clear beforehand and also, going slower then normal. the spider thing is no joke, when i was younger, my dad, me and my brother were driving back from the middle of nowhere and this large spider (huntsman) was in the fking car, above the RHS passenger window. seriously, never seen my father move so quickly. we were doing 100ks at the time, instantly pulled over, braked hard and all jumped out of the car. luckily we weren't in traffic.

would have been more interesting to have seen who drove turbo cars on their p's. haven't bought my first car yet but it ll be turbo, that's for sure.

coincidentally i drove past, just went for a drive with a friend for like 30mins. was good weather for it.

old rules, everything goes that's legal(not that much really is considering EPA) as long as the car doesn't go over 125kw/tonne. rb20s lack the torque, 25s have far more stock (267nm vs 330nm to memory). i planning to keep the car for a good few years when i buy it, so rather not muck around with a conversion after 6months. thought it would be easier just starting with a 25 in a r32. probably keep looking for s14s.
-
could use post up higher resolution pictures and an engine bay/interior picture? is the rb25 engineered?
-
you should consider, it's not the fines that stop most people, it's the fact that your insurance will be void. True, it can be void from tiny little things but mostly, they wont find them however, it's kinda hard hide a turbo. Under inspection, it's the first thing they ll notice and bam, they wont pay.

http://www.xenons30.com/reference.html (scroll down) This is a link to the software without rapidshare (not as fast but you wont have to wait), I'm not sure if it works but you guys can give it a try. I haven't had time to fiddle around with it yet.

spam much? -
you wont want an NA skyline, go for an NA s13 manual with an SR engine: 105kw and around 1100-1200kgs. plus, far cheaper thus you can save up for a skyline when off your p's. maybe get a R32 GTR.

i thought it was an impound offense these days. well, consider yourself lucky.
