  1. Agree with that last part landscribble People keep comparing a race car to a road car. What we need is a V8 supercar vs fully race prepped GTR DEATHMATCH !!!!!! kgo...
  2. However you guys are talking about then and now. Recently in a wheels/motor mag, can't remember it's at home, Skaife drove the same 32R around bathurst that he drove in the 90's that now belongs to a collector. And, it was only 3 seconds slower than what the V8 supercars of TODAY manage during quallifying/shootouts. My money is on the GTR of today with the same amount of money put into it as a V8 supercar of today. Enough said.
  3. Mwahahaha just called up Alistaire and he still had the HKS Hi Power in stock. Mine now
  4. Might be able to tell me too Brendan, what, if any, performance differences are there between the R32 GTR brakes/calipers vs the R33 GTR's brembo package ?
  5. Yeah mate, Project-Mu NS series.
  6. As it was, they finally arrived on Friday. The guys at Searle had a bit of trouble with Toll on delivery of the pads with what was supposed to be overnight delivery. Installed em meself Friday night... goddamn, those brake pads are frikken awesome. I'd recommend them to anyone
  7. Think you should lay off the skids a little.................
  8. After doing a bit of research and stop being a lazy c*** I had a look and found some very useful websites. Probably the best of the lot is this: http://justskylines.com/knowledgebase/brak...brake_pads.aspx In fact this website has a shedload of useful information and I'd recommend anyone have a look through. If I run into any troubles Rhys, I'll be calling you up.... with a carton... hehe
  9. You should have access to delete your own account aswel...
  10. You have to be soooooooooo bloody careful when you are putting the new timing belt on aswel, have to make sure everything lines up else if cam or anything is out even a little, can destroy shit/bend valves etc I had mine done at Xspeed, cost me about $900 total for the full 100,000km service of an R32 GTR and that included all parts aswel.
  11. I went over the pits a few months ago when coppers mistakenly stickered me for my car being too low. I had boost controller in plain view smack bang on the top of my steering column and my apexi pfc hand controller was still mounted to the dash, the guy didn't care. Depends who you get on the day you take it but yes, having a boost controller in the car is definitely frowned upon, and if you do have a PFC controller... hide it heh.
  12. indonentals ftw..........
  13. Niiiiiiiice. Whereabouts are you located ?
  14. Found a stockist who can sell Project Mu NS series, front and rear pads for $368 total http://www.searleraceequipment.com.au/shop...ype_ns_pads/118 Just ordered a set, should be here Wednesday/Thursday'ish. Now just need to have em installed Was considering the B-spec ones, but I don't track the car and have only attended 1 skidpan day with the car as it is.
  15. Never actually done brakes myself!!! But if someone wants to do em for me I'll shout em a carton Will have a look into the Project Mu pads aswel, cheers for that Monga
  16. Hey guys, Have searched forums a bit and have pretty much decided that Endless SSS brake pads are probably the way to go on my GTR as replacements (Actually, whilst looking I'm fairly certain I spotted a comment by Travis (Slippery) saying that he bought same pads in 07'... Just wondering A: who would be the best people to grab these from? and B: whereabouts would people recommend getting them installed around Osborne Park? Also, anyone got an estimate of how much installation would cost? Never had to change brakes on an import before, imagine would cost a little more than a Commodore hehe Cheers fellas -Chris
  17. I read up to about here and then just flat out thought /agree If you are questioning how you should be driving in the rain, you are driving wrong to begin with and need to slow the f**k down and take your time, and as suggested by someone else, sell your car. In terms of rubber though, I have a set of Falken ZE912 235/40/18's on my car. Have skid-panned it only 1 time with this rubber and it is some of the best rubber I have driven on. So much lateral grip in the dry AND in the wet.
  18. Saw this happening on the news Sunday night, was hilarious. Apparently there was oil on the track. Hope they can fix the car though and glad driver was OK
  19. No worries dude Good luck! heh
  20. Sorry mate can't get the file off me mate. Doesn't want to transfer it over MSN to me, being a weak prick. It's a 120mb PDF file hehe. However! Because I'm awesome, here's a direct link to an online one... http://paulr33.skylinesaustralia.com/manua..._engine_man.pdf Also, lol @ the link location...... was under ya nose the whole time, mwahahaha
  21. Damn dude, saw this on your MSN name few days ago, sorry to hear Mate of mine has full manual for R33 RB25DET in PDF format, I'll grab it off him this arvo for ya and let you know. -Chris
  22. +1 completely agree. Mine operates about 80C any day, if it were running around 100 or so for no reason yeah I'd be worried. If you're absolutely certain that there is something wrong, it could be 1 of 3 things off the top of my head. Blockage in coolant pipe, water pump is no longer working/siezed up or your radiator has a block. Either way means that the water/coolant is not being circulated through the system to sufficiently cool the motor no matter how much you have in the system. Were you able to get at least 5L into the system before you couldn't fit anymore? or you still have heaps left over? Just some suggestions, didn't read all the posts. By the way, lol @ the head gasket issue the auto 1 guy suggested.......
  23. Mine was doing this for a while. Mainly when it was up to normal operating temp. Would be sitting at the lights idling, idle would start hunting and boost guage flapping around too of course, then if I gave throttle a stab it'd settle down, but if I didn't it'd stall. Ended up being intake manifold gasket. While you're at it with the carby cleaner on the AFM, have your car idling (if possible) and spray a bit of the carby cleaner around your intake manifold and if your car's rev's suddenly pick up, could have a leak. Otherwise, scratch another possibility off the list Good luck. -Chris
  24. Give em some lovin' Could take Brendan's suggestion a step further and defecate... Protip: Don't do any of the above.
  25. Continue to stick up for yourself Ken, you're a good bloke and you know better than to leave something unfinished in such a way that it could legitimately be yellowed. If you DO get into a spot of bother and actually get yellowed, try and see Graham Parks at Osborne Park inspection centre, great guy. -Chris
