2008/9 Model Porsche Carrera S Drag Against 350z
stormtrooper replied to Mr_GaZZa's topic in Western Australia
HAHAHA! Beat me to it Probably blew the welds on his intake manifold? Carerra S would win hands down on this one. Problem is, guy either doesn't know how to drive it or is affraid to drive it to it's full potential. -
KYP have a few gearboxes at the moment aswel, 20's / 25's and 26's. Think they are looking for bout $960 for the 26 box, so I imagine the others are probably going to be cheaper. Manual conversion would be my recommendation mate, more fun, more control, drive the car the way it was MEANT to be driven.

Hoping to get my car retuned this week. Looks like I have timing issues and such >.<

Transferring the funds now. And thanks, appreciate it. This'll probably be able to tell me/give a good indication as to what on earth is going on with my car for when I get her retuned next year heh. EDIT: Done. Should see it either this arvo or tomorrow. -Chris

Hey guys, Sorry it took me so long (because a few hours is terrible heh) but here are the pics I managed to take yesterday. Again apologies as I was not able to get around and photograph everyone and I only had a point and clicky camera with me. -Chris

I have a Blitz dual SBC, will do

Cheers for the response mate. Actually now that you mention it, it does sound a little weaker/muted then it did when I first got it. Might have to take em off sometime.

Hi guys, I am the proud owner of an R32 GTR skyline, it was tuned about 2 years ago and ran up 360awhp on the dyno. Since I took ownership of it in May this year I have noticed that when it comes on boost it's not as sudden and hard as when I first bought it. I have checked and replaced spark plugs, coilpacks, checked and cleaned out the AFM's (Z32's) with degreaser and electrical contact cleaner, checked for vacuum leaks (found none) and have checked and double checked the intercooler piping colars and clams numerous times. The AAC was recently serviced and no worries there. When she gets to operating temp, in my case about 80c, it starts hunting at idle. Say I pull up at lights, idles for a few seconds fine, then starts hunting. It only takes about 10 secs worth of hunting and it'll stall. I've found to combat this when it starts hunting I just give the throttle a little stab and it settles itself. Interesting. Appears to only really happen if turbo's have spooled between when I last took off and when I have now stopped. I am wondering if this could be caused by a leaky bov? Being that also when I have boosted, come off boost and then go to boost again (say if heading into a corner, then out again) it takes a little while longer to spool the 2nd time round. I am planning on getting a retune done sometime in the beginning of the new year aswel, because she's running fairly rich. Any suggestions or would getting it retuned reveal any of these issues anyway? Cheers, -Chris PS: one thing I did notice aswel is that around the same time as this started happening, she doesn't hit full 1.2 bar (16psi) at the moment either. Car has: 700cc injectors Power FC HKS GT-SS's z32 AFM's tomie front and dumps ARC intercooler still factory BOV's Just some of the running gear

Which car was banned from Australian Touring Car because it kept kicking the SHIT out of EVERYTHING on the field? That's right, the R32 GTR. Never saw an R33 win as many races as the R32's The herritage came from the 32's. I could throw a rock down the street and accidentally hit a 33 I didn't even know was there they are that common. Not to detract from the 33's themselves, they are still nice cars -
Anyone Knoe Whats Wrong?
stormtrooper replied to SEEYOUBYE's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
usually best way to avoid a crunch when selecting R is to clutch in, select like 1st or 3rd or something, then slot it into R. Try it sometime As for the issue, if you've still got pressure in the clutch pedal and it's still engaging then I'd be hard pressed to be finding something wrong with it? Need more dragons -
Here's your problem... theres a time and a place and in your car is not it, your car knew it and was trying to tell you, not cool... What Paul said Sounds like alternator/battery issue. Ah also, HID's wouldn't make a difference much, they use less power than a standard bulb as far as I'm aware. Could also be a spark issue if it's having issues while just sitting at the lights. Normally if you can get the car started even with flat battery/alternator, you're fine until you turn the car off.

I'd be interested in heading out from there to do a southern coastal run. Hit up scarbs, cottesloe, freo. Reckon it'd be a nice night for it

I would have vouched for any one of these guys saying "they leave you alone unless you're a knob" until a few weeks ago when I was followed for 5 kms then pulled over in my own driveway by a mug in a blue uniform, disgrace to his fellow colleagues, for "my car is too low". Proved on the spot he wasn't he yellowed me anyway, when questioned why he didn't pull over the taxi driver who'd been tailgating/speeding/high beaming people for that time, said "we can only do 1 thing at a time". My ass.
