Only partially relevant to my OP, but anyways. As stated the inspector asked me where my timing belt cover was. Resprayed it this week, finally found the bolts for it and tadah. Done. Need to clean it up a little but meh, done. hehe

Agreed, can't just bomb someones thread like that and not have pics ....

That Etek looks hot, kind of similar design to the Angel series, love the elongated barrel Might have to take some time out to come down and have a look on the 18th as I'm keen to start somewhere. Wouldn't be looking to jump straight into tournament or anything straight away but socially for a start and take it from there for sure. Will have a yarn to you about it sometime

I guarantee you can do skids in a GTR (R32 GTR). All others no, not unless you remove the front diff and disable the ATTESA.
-
<3 my 32R. I was eyeying off a 33GTR for a while aswel. Thing that made me change my mind was the 33's are heavier (not by much, bout 50-100kg more, very negligible) was that you can't disable the AWD systems on em, same as the 34's. 32GTR's have for me always looked a lot better and have the true "cult" recognition aswel, coupled with the fact that they were the reason australian touring cars went to V8's and RWD only My opinion would be, keep the R33 and drop money into it and get out of it what you want performance wise. Reason being, it's better to modify a car you already have and know where to put the $$ than to i nherit someone elses potential problem and then have to spend more money on it than you originally intended.

Hey Bubba, do you need a gun license to own a paintball marker in australia? Would imagine so but just to be sure... Also, wondering what sort of marker would be a good place to start with if I were to consider buying one. I have played a bit and was thinking about playing some more, my play style isn't really reliant on spraying either. I'm more of a shoot to hit a person as opposed to spray and pray, I'll spray as cover fire when I am moving between barriers and shit, but yeah, any type of marker you'd recommend?

34GTR's are the only decent looking 34 in my opinion, any other 34 looks truck spec, just something about the way they sit. S2 R33's are nice, too many white ones floating about though... they're like excels these days..... hehe

Going to request this be relocated someone more appropriate and stickied because as far as I know it is a commonly asked question

Ok guys, if anyone needs to know this for future reference here it is, what you need is the following: 2x 13504-58S00 2x 13505-05U01 4x 13524-D0113 the 2x items are 2 different part numbers, you need 2 different top bolts as opposed to the bottom ones. The 4x is for the washers you need. All up cost me $52.38inc and should be here in about 3 days.

Apparently need to go to Nissan go get em. They are non standard bolts and have rubber grommets on em too >.<

Hey guys, wondering if anyone can tell me what size/dimension whatever, the bolts are to fasten an RB26 belt cover to front of motor? Went to coventry's fasteners, repco etc, they all gave me blank stares and wouldn't come out and have a look at it, muppets. Any info greatly appreciated Also if someone knows where to get em around Osborne Park.... Currently using teh google trying to see if any information but as yet, drawing a blank...

Prolly started talking about his RB30 lol j/k haha

hahahah ! When did you hear it?? Was that you at Glendalough today at 12:30? bloody parking... Edit: aah fail, just noticed you have 32 GTR aswel, in the spotted thread noted that I saw a black R33 at Glendalough heh. But yeah I'm definately bringing to a cruise soon

Yeah, I decided to just call the guys up and be straight about the whole thing, make my point and let em know what had happened etc. Seems to go down well when you approach the subject level headed (as opposed to the guys handing out the lickys who can be tyrants, as proved on saturday night). I think the inspector mentioned something about "rounding down the report to 20%" or something to that effect, but said that 35% or over on his light meter was illegal heh. Nice.

Awesome. So this morning I spoke to a Snr Sgt at South Fremantle Traffic and he had a look into the incident for me. Explained that whilst the taxi driver may have been speeding, they can turn a blind eye to this sort of stuff if they are more worried about a possible unroadworthy defect (my legal exhaust....) on another car. Hence they pulled me over. He called up Osborne Park inspections for me and told me to go out there and see a bloke, Graham Parks, nice guy too. Comes out and goes and grabs a 100mm piece of polly pipe about 3m long (I am not kidding ) and rolls it under the car and said "Yep, she's fine there's no way this was stopping for anything" Awesome. He had a look at my tint (the undercover area is a little dark even in broad daylight) and goes and grabs the light measurement tool. No worries, comes back out I wind down a window for him, and I asked him waht teh legal tint was he said %35. Sure enough, the light meter is around 31-32%. Sweet. He had a look inside my cabin and didn't say a word about boost guage OR the boost controller, I had tucked the PFC controller under the center console though heh. Pop the bonet, asked me why my belt cover was not on the front, said (and Travis can vouch for this lol) that it was like that when I got the car, just need to get the bolts for it so I can put it back on. No worries. No questions about the aftermarket turbo's or anything else. Asked me if the exhaust was loud at all and told him I hadn't had any complaints before or anything. So I go back inside and sit down, he goes off and makes a few phone calls, comes back and we went out to the car, he took the sticker off and didn't charge me a red cent. Bloody beautiful.

hahah I'm being told same more and more Just have to get the wifes approval on that one heh. So they only really look at the stuff thats on the defect slip? Cool. I'll still be taking precautions so as they can't shaft me for other things and yeah, respect is the name of the game, they are only doing their job, just try and make it easier for them on my part.
-
Me PFC hand controller is easily disconnectable from the ecu so I can just take it off altogether. As for the boost controller are they really that strict about em? Damn. I've never had to take a car over the pits before so any info is greatly welcomed. I'm going over me engine bay with degreaser at the moment too heh

hahaha it's almost looking that way hey I will be calling some people tomorrow to see what my options for this are being that A: they ignored someone who was speeding/tailgating/high beaming people repeatedly in the space of 5kms, B: I proved that it was legal ride height. When I took a photo of the guys plates, he said "what are you doing" taking a photo of your plates so I have more evidence to make a complaint about you "all our details will be on the paperwork" yep, I know, but still "you like fishing?" what? Don't be a smart ass mate, I know exactly where you are going with this and you can stick it. He shut up after that and got back in the car, was the other guy who was writing ticket, the one who ignored me when I showed him that it was legal, and yeah, I measured it at the lowest point at the back near the diff, it's about 110mm off the ground easy. **facepalm** Meanwhile today I relocated the boost controller to the top of the steering column and the boost guage to the A pillar in a Greddy pod hehe, looks pretty sweet, I can see the speedo below 70kmph now without having to move my head hahah.
-
I just read too much into things sometime and like to throw it out there in case. The boost controller doesn't lie, the guage does. Cleaned the AFM's out with degreaser then Mass Airflow Meter cleaner yesterday but still hunting when she's hot. Think it IS time for a retune. Nuff said Close thread heh.

This is even more interesting, they have written my rego plate correctly on the sticker itself, but not on the slip they gave me.
