Would having an GTR matter any? If your SOR, I'm in East Freo area, I'll be home bout 6'ish tonight if you need.

The one that is currently installed is the S2 and the one I was installing is a S1 cluster, which the water temp and rev tacho don't work in at the moment. I'm only replacing the cluster because the S2 I have at the moment doesn't have a working odometer or trip counter, the ODO I need to keep track of for me log book.

Surely someone must know...

Okie dokie, finally got around to installing the new cluster today (had to switch out some of the bulbs from the old one but no biggie) and I have noticed 2 things. The water temp guage does not work (when you turn the ignition to accessories it maxes out then when you kick over ignition it goes flat) and the rev tacho is not working. However ODO and trip counter now working which is waht I wanted. I have put the old one back in again for now. I was wondering, what would be causing this issue? Would it be the PowerFC? Because it was originally calibrated for the S2 cluster? And then of course would I need to get it recalibrated for the S1 ? Cheers

Sorry guys I'm in a lazy mood this morning, I only read the OP post. There's actually 2 places in WA that can do the IM240 test, Kostecki's and another place, however I can't remember the name of it.

They're called "wastegate actuators". You can set the trim for the actuators, so you can have the car come on boost gradually or all of a sudden. EBC might be a good idea because you can set the trim on these to open the wastegate when you want it to, and usually don't open the gate until full pressure has been reached.

Has teh new cluster, pretty much same KM's as mine at the moment will look at installing it today.

hehe yeah. I had done it once with my ole' VL many many moons ago, just not sure about the dash setup for the R32's. I am wondering aswel, being that I have an S2 cluster in there at the moment, would I have to get it calibrated for the S1? Or you think it's likely it was never done for the S2? Just so as the speedo is not out at all ..... Guess the easiest way would be to speed test next to another car heh

Hey guys, I'm going to be picking up an S1 cluster for my GTR this weekend as the S2 doesn't work properly, issues with the electricals or something causing the ODO and fuel guage to not work properly. I am wondering how hard it is to swap these out? Is it a case of take out the dash undo plugs, install new one put back together and go? -Chris

Hey guys, sorry to bug everyone. Used search function and couldn't find anything regarding this. On my cluster (S2 cluster in an S1 R32 GTR) I always have the HICAS light on, fair enough I have a lock bar, however the past few days I have noticed that one of the other warning lights is on at the moment, looks like this (!) Not sure what to make of this as I have looked through a few manuals and what not and have not found any helpful information. Wondering if it would be a good idea to take it somewhere, hook it up to a computer and see what's what? If so where would people recommend? All the work done to my car has been through X-Speed, however I don't have the luxury of taking a day off during the week to take it down there due to work commitments so can anyone recommend a garage with required equipment for a Saturday? (Probably not but worth a try...) Any help on this would be greatly appreciated, Thanks, -Chris

heh, we ended up bailing after the 1st checkpoint and went into freo to Newport, met up with some mates. When we were leaving, did a lap of the strip, cars banked up to lights so took side street he was in front, gave it some, spooled up and he gated next to a heap of cars and a car alarm went off heh.
