  1. Did you get me PM re: Gtr cams? Interested
  2. Hiya how much for just the valve springs? Thanx
  3. Hi still available? Good condition? Could be posted to nz?? Thnx
  4. "I went with a RB25DET oil pump." Straight bolt on?
  5. Perhaps a little heat might help? Remember metal expands when hot
  6. Could it be that overnight water is slowly leaking into the combustion chamber? Then after driving it for a wee while you blow out all the water. Tang0 is right, if it has a slightly blue tint to it then its oil burning, if its just white its water. Check for an oil film in the coolant or for bubbling in the coolant caused by exhaust leak. Another thing to do is an oil change and inspect for a 'milky' effect in the oil. Those are all symptoms of a blown head gasket.
  7. Thnx Monsta, I've pulled everything down now, so its time to start cleaning and making some measurements
  8. I got my block last week and after removing the head gasket noticed that there was a '2' stamped on each of the pistons and next to each cylinder on the deck. Is this an indication that the cylinders have been bored? The hone in the cylinders is pretty good considering the engine has 200,000k on it
  9. Well done. Yeah they are not terribly complex. Sometimes the problem is simply caused by crud blocking the sensor/light or by bad connections on the circuit board. I'd say a wrecker would be the best place to go if anyone needed to actually replace the sensor
  10. you can also use a ohm meter to measure the resistance of the coils. The one that is dying may make a different reading to the rest.
  11. If that doesn't work, run an ecu diagnostic and also run a oxy sensor diag to see if you are running rich or lean
  12. My SL has just started getting sun wrinkles.. The only way i see that you can get them down would be to get some glue into the bubbles.. The only way i can think of to do that would be to inject some glue with a syringe. If you do happen to do this, make sure you use a thermosetting glue (epoxy etc) and not a thermoplastic glue.. otherwise the glue will go all soft again when it gets hot. A car upholsterer might have some ideas (mostly expensive ideas i'd say)
  13. You'll need to remove the glove box for sure. One trick is to tak your new cables to the old stock ones and use them as a pull though.. careful with this tho.. U don't want to get snagged so watch out for tape/cable ties etc. And yes that is the ECU
  14. Yup, installing an amp in a R33 boot is about as simple as it gets... Just a shame the boot is so small
  15. I'd be carefull trying to run too much current down your stock wires. The thinner the wire, the higher the resistance, the more heat that would be output. It doesn't take much to start the insulation smouldering. It also wouldn't be doing the rest of your system justice. Quality wire doesn't cost the earth and is fairly easy to install through a skyline. The 6" + sub combo should do you well.
  16. Excellent. Now I have an excuse to buy a welder!
  17. Ok, now I'm convinced that I need some new extractors too! :uh-huh: Is the transplant fairly straight forward? And will the Coby extractors bolt straight into the rest of my exhuast system which is stock? _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ R33GTS25
