Hi Guys, I have removed those child saftey brackets from the rear shelf today, repaired the speaker covers and also repaired the hole in the middle of the parcel shelf, cost me approx $20 for materials. (10$ for 2m x 1m acoustic cloth & $10 for contact adhesive) First I removed the rear seats and extracted the parcel shelf ready for repair. The rear speaker covers had been bent out of shape due to those stupid bolts going straight through the cover. Since the covers are made from moulded plastic all you need to do is clean any crap from around the hole. Then place them upside down on the bottom of a steel pan or something similar and slowly heat them up with a hair dryer. They will literally pop back in to shape once warm enough, allow them to cool naturally so they set to their natural shape again. I then covered the original speaker covers in acousitc cloth using contact adhesive and cutting the excess off, it is not hard and fairly self explanatory to do. As you can see the one on the right is now covered and looks much better. The hole in the middle of the shelf was a little harder to sort, again tidy up around the hole making sure it looks neat and tidy with no excess bits hanging out. Cut a peice of the parcel shelf off from under the speaker cover the same size as the exsisting hole. (once the speaker cover is in place you wont see this hole) Cut replacement bit from here. Insert your newly cut bit of parcel shelf in to the exisiting hole and cover the underneath of it in super glue to hold it in place, once set use a stiff brush on the top to even it out and blend the edges of the joins together, it will almost disapear as you can see. I also noticed that the centre of my parcel shelf was distorted but as this is a cardboard, plastic & expoy material heating it wont get it to pop back in to shape so I cut a peice of foam up the same depth as the locating fixings on the bottom of the shelf and glued this to the bottom of the shelf so when it is re-installed it will force the shelf back in to shape and make it look better. Rather than using the plastic fixings towards the front of the shelf to hold it in place I drill some holes in the lip and put some black interior screws in their place. I had a quick search on the forum and noticed a few guys had mentioned these holes, I thought I would just explain what I had done to repair mine.

Hi, hre is roofor ajustment if you can make your own bracket, I bought an R34 yesterday then realised part way home I couldnt sit fully upright without my head touching the roof lining. The rear brackets could be dropped about 2 inches if you can manufacture your own brackets. I am going to see what I can dig out this week with me being off work, I recon a little welding some 4-5mm steel would do just nicely. I will let you know how I get on.

Hi Everyone, just thought I would introduce myself, I have spotted 2 1998 GT-T autos for sale in Perth so I am hoping to buy one of them, one needs a little body work sorting and is pretty cheap, the other needs nothing doing and is $5k more. Both have around 110k on the clock and look very clean for their age and both are in import dealers. I am having a little trouble sorting out finance but if I dont get finance I recon its time to raid the savings, ffs. Apart from that I am just looking for subtle mods like decent intercooler, quite dump valve, decent but not too loud Turbo back zorst and maybe piggy back ECU as with them being autos I dont think a replacement ECU will work.
