It's like a whole heap of words jumbled on the page with no meaningful order...... ^^^^ that's a serious question btw not a piss take, I'm confused after trying to read it. There is plenty of cars faster than inwoods taxi. They just don't waste their time winning sprint titles.... I wanna see the car/driver run in the V8 touring category. Oh wait it did and was nowhere.... It did win a sports sedan race, everyone else crashed or DNF'ed so not sure if that ended in protest. I guess if you can't beat them join them (didn't you try and get a trillion $$$ sponsorship and buy some corvette thing) Guess if you can't join them and can't change 40yr old sports sedan rules dont race. Soooooo go racing and clean up the club level instead, makes perfect sence to me. Better check results again, Theres heaps of better cars & drivers ! some on this site the sad thing is a few dreamers , So whats the issuue about seeking sponsorship.I havent changed the rules just some others did'nt comply , WTF are u on about sports sedan rules, so its not fair 2 run club level or national . f\u the END -

Trophys are not priority, fun in the car is - as most in door to door an eye on the mirrors can make it enjoyable for all. I can't speak for all, but are most prepared to sit for a few corners if this is exceeded no doubt, some excitement about to happen. Stick to your line, enjoy your time - if they are good enough ? Thanks LSX-438 - so we were no support to you in the last few years I take it? I didn't re-write the bible as you tried to - bugger you didn't pull it off. Rules! Thats why we try and stick to whats written - good or bad. My thoughts are - How f**kin rude!! We enjoyed it - most meetings at Supserprints, Hillclimbs etc, and the odd stir on cyberspace at nearly 50 just got my full race license - and had too much fun in the last couple of years racing. For the last 30 years ,if anyone wants support or help - we are there - as an old fart I beleive I have had some some handy tips - if you / they don't want to listen I don't give a rats - its a free country. SO therefore - I am over the cyberspace crap - see you at the track - sprint - supersprint - hillclimb - race - enduro - targa - whatever car, whatever chosen event and using whatever credit card , we choose. Cheers all - enjoy - we do - do you? -

Q) Harry - can you point us in the right direction to get results - what you've done in the last 7 years - while my partner and I have been running our Road Registered R32 and R33 in type SV, Sports Sedans and 2A? Eg for Harry I run our R33 in Sports Sedan, to make it simple - this is done to encourage and support newcombers in our eligable class A) to above - I know its an ex V8 Touring car (12 year old) 8 years private owned - and it took me 12 months, rebuilding myself - and over 30 years hard work to get it. I also know it is 27km slower down the main straight than our R33. As far as a politcal whinger - LETS DO A VOTE HARRY Cheers -

Harry Glad you are not refering to me as we have a touring car - 1999 model at that 5lt on controlled tyre - that owes us half as much as the skyline - so its fine to run time attack cars/R35's on slicks and whatever mods, radicals etc . Club level - f*&K this was an Aussie!! Believe we competed in 2010 - against a supercharged, honda powered lotus in type 2A - what happened to his two seats and how come diffusers are allowed in QLD 2A? Are you stil pissed because you QLD'rs could not beat a R33 running up to shit last year - didn't matter which way they did the times, you still couldn't catch it - but at least we had a go at it. -

Oh by the way - to some, like it or not - R33 GTR gear box mods, replace 5th gear needle bearing with roller bearings and slight case mods required. Purchase OSG sandwhich plate, machine 40 thou off 3rd gear syncro hub - add 2 support brackets to front housing and issues seem to be resolved. To date no failures. Suit circuit application -

Thanks Duncan Watch the dirty bit - Karen got BP car for Shannons Muscle Car Masters this year, but your right still a taxi - anyways the taxi fitted the budget at the time and 99% of works we can carry out ourself, which is more than I can say for our brand new block, head (gen N1 from Japan) etc rebuild given to a chap in Sydney - apparently have to try again - apparently someone didn't check the deck height. Lets leave it at that. Anyways the taxi keeps you fit, lol anyways I can drink more beer. I reckon its about your shout Dunc. -

Hi Roy The whole car still runs touring car spec, including 5ltr and control Kumho Tyres S700's - 280x680x17 There has been issues with these tyres over the past few meetings and Kumho are addressing the matter. Pending correspondence with Kumho and another manufacturer, we may be changing brands for next year, being for size options, compounds and hoping to knock about 200kgs out of the car and still do full floor sports sedans + Irace Budget pending, if any - mid year would like to try 347 stroker bottom end, to boost us from under 500hp to 700+ At the moment thats the dream! Hi Harry Maybe you might want to look at this - every state is more than two and interstaters even QLD'ers that I spoke to had a ball. As you know, the Australian Supersprint Championship has been held over the last two days at Eastern Creek along with the last Round of this year’s NSW State Supersprint Championship. So far as the Australian Championship is concerned, trophies were awarded to the first 3 Outright placegetters as well as to 17 Class winners. I’m very pleased to report that the 3 Outright place trophies were won by NSW State Supersprint Registrants and 15 of the Class trophies were also won by NSW State Supersprint Registrants. A great effort by the NSW guys. Details of the Australian Championship will be published later. The NSW Results were brought about by great preparation and effort plus a touch of local knowledge. I competed today and have to say that I was lucky enough to meet many of our interstate competitors from every state with the exception of Tasmania. To a tee they are great competitors and good guys who would love to meet us on their own turf. Andrie Tan was the Outright National Champion in his Type 5 Radical with a time of 1.30.048 Stuart Inwood was second in his Type 4 Ford V8 Supercar with a Type and Class record breaking time of 1.35.994 Jason Wright was just a couple of tenths behind in third place in his Type SV WRX with another Type and Class record breaking time of 1.36.209 -

Hey Duncan Your price factor is right but it is a bit of a set up for us for 2012 hopefully and a title wouldnt go astray after a busy *%F&d - mixed year. Although running sports sedans we were watching that particular race - yeah what the F*$k can I say! He won't be running at Irace, I think should go back to playstations games. (WHich I am sure is still trying to get better than last) Whats your plans next year Dunc - how bout some Irace? Jap Class / track time? Looking I will be probably more pen pushing than pedals - have to have a chat, any new ideas or classes welcome - not 500 - for diffrent coloured window tint etc LOL Catch up soon Cheers S & K -

Well without most of the crap (mostly unread) above we have a fairly full field - as far as sprints and supersprints and or hillclimbs or racing - read the supp regs, if thats the rules and you want to run - do it, if you don't like it don't! Don't wait for CAMs to change it cause we all know that won't happen. Just a bit on the side with regards to regularity - some people find this quite interesting - that aren't so old and without beards - Karen ran our car R33 for 1st time at Bathurst Easter this year, and I will bet not many of you can do sub 1.45's around Bathurst - 3rd time bum in seat - 2 supersprints - sorry QLDers Sprints at EC as a warm up - this warm up including speeds in excess of 260 plus k's and as with superprints/ sprints / hillclimbs and regularity Karen loved doing all, better than what I have to put up with, if this is door to door would you like your car in this field - this is why people do sprints, supersprints, regularity as a stepping stone - to my belief this bloke has done none! To anyone running, if you need any help give us a yell Cheers Stuart -

Hi HRD-hr30, On our Entry it clearly states at the top of the page - Kumho Tyres NSW and Australian Supersprint Championship Round 9 For speed event rules every state is different (when you get there) - QLD, Vic, SA and WA - BUT CAMs manual shows it quite clear under speed event rules - the home made state rules have been issues for years. These (NSW rules) are not much better, in both QLD and Vic we have been swapped to not less than three classes at arrival of event - same and similar with the hillclimb championships. With ARDC running it, over two days, just hoping for some track time. Anyways, anyone going we will have all the tools and bits and pieces, including stick welder, jacks etc and microwave (very organised now days - frozen dinners are edable compared to canteen food - lol) Come see us if you need anything. Sprints and Super Sprints Sprints and Super Sprints are mostly conducted at the recognised motor racing circuits around the country. Individual or small numbers of cars are released at regular intervals onto the track and generally complete several laps at a time racing against the clock, and not the other drivers out there at the time. Whilst sprints are not actually races, they give participants a great feel for what it is like to drive at high speed competitively around a race track and provide a fabulous test for car and driver alike. The recently organised Australian Super Sprint Championship will provide an annual opportunity for keen sprinters to hold aloft the ultimate prize. Cars range from standard road cars to highly modified race cars, and participants are sent out onto the track with other compatible vehicles that lap at similar speeds. Drivers must be at least 14 years of age to participate in sprints and super sprints and hold a level 2 Speed licence. For further infromation visit: www.supersprints.com.au Which is the NSW site, so I would say that is what CAMs are basing Speed events on! -

Final Round, come run - prep yourself and car for next year. If you are considering running a series next year, definitely worth a look! Its a great series - run in QLD and NSW - generally over 6 rounds, perfect for supersprinters etc ready to take the next step into racing or the already racing. Loads of classes and levelled up with handicap races - makes for even, yet more challenging racing and fantastic viewing for spectators in a user friendly environment with good media coverage. Cheers Stuart and Karen PS PM for more info if required
