Haunted Hills 21 February 2010

Hi Duncan I beleive JFKs time was set on perimiter configuration, not figure 8 as used at the Australian HC Championship. To my knowledge I still hold the record for the figure 8 track. Congrats to JFK, on outright win. To do 55's on the figure 8 puts you in front of a Lola T8750 2008 Australian Outright Hillclimb Champion Car. -
Instead of a PM I have chosen to personally thank you on site, and well deserved, for your support and also your efforts through last year, dont forget your PB at PI was an excellent effort - Aussie Champions are we!!! Saw Mark's car (R34) at Mt Panorama today, 12 Hour, was going to copy rear diffuser, but, goes front to back maybe next year Anyways, we have got 2 NSW Hilliclimb C'Ship and 1 supersprint or whatever - before the World at EC - running Open, got some tune issues at the moment, Yokohama has decided to give some support for this year, any others would be greatly appreciated - thats what the man from NAB says. Anyways, as per usual, thankyou, and to other SAU supporters in our mission!! THANKS

A couple of things - Firstly, in 35 years of motorsport, and most tracks bitumen and / or dirt, personally I would never nominate any other track time v's Bathurst. Secondly, Chris slow down a little bit and you will have a good average and no dent's, but around the 2.30 is very enjoyable Thirdly - Duncan, wish you all the best, you have our contact details, be warned - Bathurst has more concrete than Sydney tunnel, as a resident for 25 years on Griffins Bend! it is true - this is one of Aussies best tracks, but bar a few - it is untammed to date!! Its there to enjoy, hope all entered get the track time promised. I will be about, if we can assist anyone, send us a PM -
Just a quick thanks to few for last year Award Diff & Gearbox Services - Terry & Tricia Gordon Leven Tyres - Bill Hi-Octane - all Just Jap - all Clarke Equipment Sales - Bob NAB O/D SAU - friends and support - appreciated Oran Park for 2 records - Gp & South thanks to all hope you enjoy the new season

Hey Duncan, We had a team of 4 entered in November, got our refund last week - this was a request by all members of the team - as entries were supposed to have been finalised before December and we had heard nothing from organisers - it is all good - used that entry fee to enter World Superlap - at EC in May. -

Dont feel bad, least I knew where you were going, here's 2 Beamer's one of that feel's worse than you. Must say the other took a bit of work, and also they are having a fair go - I think its all good, its a shame we are getting less tracks and trying to talk more people into going! To all, if you are not in a club, join one, have a go, enjoy, have fun. But at the worst WIN!! Go Nissan - Ha Ha. -

As per, our chats over the weekend, I'm happier with Yoki's at the moment, this can change with every series of tyre, my personal choice of 10 years was Dunlop, anyway's, in 34 years of bits and pieces of various motorsport, I say the profile of the tyre killed your moment!! Bloody electronics. -

Yes its a bit like Parramatta Rd - same same, some dont know what mirrors are for - also there is no speed limit at PI, this was also an Australian Championship, others drivers were supposed to put themselves in a suitable time framed group. Many did and a few didnt, in the green group, some werent within 15 seconds of the group nominated times. The organisers did have 4 other groups available and ran an excellent event. In last 26 years (except one dato 1600 rally car) road or track I have zip, nil, none, never damaged a vehicle or bike, or others! -
Thanks Heres a couple of good and bad moments in brief from Phillip Island

Turn 1 - doesn't look much but at 300 I am telling you it was, I've got Porche brakes didnt seem to work as good on mine though maybe a couple of k's too fast - bit keen - and yes I did appologise! Thanks for the pics on the R32, Karen ran it at the December Speed weekend at Bathurst on the weekend and it looks and goes better than ever! The 32 and 33 are sleeping in the same shed - cant wait for my 65 - LOL. -

To all, heaps of reports from drivers, too tight - not happy. Why not for one weekends costs, for track setup (Sydney), Bathurst's second track could have been finished! So who wouldnt love that? -

No didn't get the timing equipment - think it had about 2 thou clearance. By all means give us a PM and will let you know when entries open for it next year - there is actually a round of the NSW Hillclimb C'ship in March - Mountain Straight and Esses hillclimb same weekend. Entries fill very fast and preference is given to NSW registered competitors. Seat looks worse than it feels, is on Sparco seat and base.

At Oran and Eastern Creek, 50's in M's are a second quicker - be prepared there a bit soggy compared to 285 Dz03's, Yoki's were a bit quicker, but easier on the bankcard! Soft compound seems great on R32 with less grunt, they get over it too quick on R33 - M's are the go for me. Must say havent tried em in the wet yet, so will probably put the dunlops back on for that occasion, although on behaviour, I do have high expectations of the Yoki's with 50% plus tread in wet. Check out vids on Skylines Australia > Automotive > Motorsport > Club Level Motorsport > In car videos

Must say was close and yes witches hat did go, check out Motorsport>club level motorsport>incar videos>bathurst Hillclimb and Supersprint Karen hadnt driven the car for nearly 3 years and santa bought her new soft Yoki's, she had trouble getting off the line - but it was cheaper than smoking the dunlops like she used too! With a good start until 3rd gear and braking area to be honest there is bugger all difference. Must say the Air Con is great in 32, beats electric windows in the 33. Enjoy vid's
