The buckles should be sweet. R32/R33 front seats can be swapped in and their original buckles used, so I can't imagine the rears are different. The actual assembly/box thing that retracts the belts might be a different shape/fit though.

Side skirts = Cefiro/Laurel only. Depends what you're changing the seatbelts to?

That's pretty cool man, I like all the little touches. Roof spoiler, makeshift front lip, Tokyo Nissan sticker

Reverse/neutral Switch Wiring Harness A31 Cefiro
Nic_A31 replied to filo_a31's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
It is on a seperate harness but I think it's all bundled up in the same loom as the starter, alt, etc. There's 2 plugs near the fuse box, one is for auto trans, the other is for reverse lights and neutral switch. Can take a pic if you want, let me know. -
Looks like you threw it pretty hard into that corner....front right barely in contact with the ground. Awesome photo.

Na R34 Skylines Sedans (4Doors) In Awd Or Rwd Manual
Nic_A31 replied to IorfinoMotors's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Go the GT-FOUR. They're all non turbo, so it's good for your L's/P's and then gives you room to modify and learn while you're at it. The AWD system is and works the same as the GT-Rs, although the GT-R may have different diff ratio's (I know this is the case with R32s). Keep in mind that AWDs are heavier than their RWD variants, and that the GT-FOUR will have the same running costs as a GT-R (extra diff, transfer case, etc) without the GT-R performance, so you're inclined to get onto the performance mods/engine swap as soon as you can 4-door R34 GT-FOUR with RB26DETT, wolf in sheep's clothes. -
I don't even recall selling you a grille, let alone any chrome, haha. I'm thinking after it's painted, drop just the motor straight in, then gut underneath it and mount the box from inside the tunnel. Picked this up this afternoon, still waiting for speedo drive, side skirts and rear bar. I'll need to hack up reinforcement bar to fit this on. Contemplating which Cef to put it on. Dummy fit on daily (couldn't mount it up properly because it bottoms out on the cooler and the reo bar) Long exposure I took last night waiting for another Cef dude to come pick something up. Completely pointless and unrelated to this build:

Couple if surprises with last bunch of gear. Only my front bar turned up, skirts and rear got left behind in Japan, as did half the other Cefiro kit in the same container for another guy hahaha. I wasn't too fussed, apparently the other guy wasn't the same, so my supplier dude said something about a 20ft container to get the remnants of both our kits and some other gear over here sooner than the next 40 ? Anyway, my series 2 grille has chrome on the inside. Never seen it before (I've owned 3? of these grilles over the years), some weird-ass special edition shit going on here: Also ridiculously glossy, also never seen, only seen matte finish... ? Wheel hubs ended up being what looks like Attain. Haven't checked the bearings yet, but they look good soo far. "diffuser" / Splash tray thingy is in mint condition. Turbo Manual dash cluster (did look endlessly for a late model cluster, but couldn't find any Cefiro ones with plugs) (that's a scratch, not a crack...just went and checked after seeing that, haha) /end CSB I think I need more aero parts,

Sweeeet. My ceffy used to have the sticking gear problem. It'd sometimes only use second and third, sometimes it'd use all 4. Was some kind of problem with the solenoids. When you turn it on, both lights on the dash (power and hold) should light up, if only one lights it, one or more solenoids isn't responding, can usually fix it but just turning car off and on again until it works, that used to work for me anyway, that might save some of your sanity until your manual conversion Do miss the handbrake pedal though, used to think it was useless until Dan_J suggested one day, chock the handle lever up with a small block or your phone or something, then you have a third pedal to kick like a clutch....worked a treat hahaha

Pointless update: So, in container landing this/next week: TBO1 FRP front bar Autech FRP side skirts Autech FRP rear bar Dash cluster 5 stud wheel hubs (front) Under tray / splash protector thing Front running lights / side indicator assemblies Air-Con canister thing Series 2 front grille Manual foot rest Speedo sender (cable drive for RB25 box) Next container should have R34 GT-R seats and a set of Work Emotion CR Kai's [17x9.0 +17] Still haven't got my shit together for panel and paint Should probably stop impulse buying parts, but it doesn't make much difference. What do you lot think: a) Panel and paint first, buy and fit parts, then buy and fit motor and gearbox b) buy parts, panel and paint second, fit parts, buy and fit motor and gearbox c) buy parts, buy motor and gearbox, panel and paint third, then fit everything 101 lines on the budget, 13 are complete. So, it's disproportionately ~13% complete.

Probably the same price or more than getting new Nismo mounts.

None. R33 length and angle is closest according to Toffy (blame him if that's incorrect, not me) There's a dude on DriftWA that makes them, check it out.

Faaaaark, that interior....I'm jelly.

Not sure on the difficulty of the task, but I've seen it done more than once in pics. For some reason it's a common mod on Cefiro's around Asia (sold outside of Japan), but they're all RB24S from factory, so, at a guess I'd say it's likely they buy R32 halfcuts for the 20DET and manual box, and also use the body loom out of the halfcut to put the dash cluster ?? From what I remember, some of the gauges on the side of the cluster are close to the border after you put the surround back in place, but it does fit and all gauges visible. If I get some time I'll hunt around for them pics.

How much you expecting with everything sorted ?

Looks sweet man. Looks like you've got room to tuck your exhaust up a bit more/make a new one. First thing I did with mine was swap the foot brake for a proper handbrake while maintaining the auto transmission. I found a C33 handbrake lever with the first part of the cable, and i had a manual centre console spare, you just need to make up some kind of spacer or bracket, because the lever doesnt bolt straight to the floorpan and needs about 20mm clearance. General consensus is that R33s have the closest handbrake cable length, if you're trying to get the entire handbrake setup from another car. For R33 brakes you'll need 16s, and nothing will need to be done about coilovers, etc. Just put your 5 stud hubs on, cut the shroud and flare it back to accommodate the bigger rotor, and use a thin long screw or screw extractor to remove the olive fitting inside the calipers, so you can use your existing brake lines (which have provisions to clip into your coilovers)
-
They can but they leave a ~2" gap between the top of the bar and the cefiro lights/grille etc, because the laurel headlights and grille are bigger. Might be able to redrill the reo bar to sit further up.

paraplegic drifter....mad amount of respect for that!

No power gains but r34 turbo spools up quicker. R33 and r34 turbos are a bit tougher for wear too.
