  1. For the thirty-one; 1. Gaskets 2. Stock intake 3. Interior shit Wow, little shit. Bring on next order - coilovers.
  2. Damn straight. If a cop wants to slap a yellow on false ground - demand they give you a name, what station they're is from, and ID number before it goes on your windshield - if they are actually dumb enough to ask why, tell em you'll lodge a complaint after you pass the pits first go - trust me, Ive seen this work, they put it away pretty quickly. PS: Havent seen you on here in a while Mandy, holidays or something ?
  3. f**k their power trip - maybe they can harrass one person, if every single person actually grew some balls and complained when this happened - it simply wouldnt happen anymore. Gone are the days when driving a VP commodore meant seing a cop around every corner and hoping not for a yellow. The guy got out a measuring tape and showed this crackhead legal height, so now he has to take a day off and money for the pits...why? because some cop is headf**ked.
  4. spray some WD40 into the thread from underneath it ?
  5. f**k that. Find out what station he's from, go find his boss, and make an epic complaint, Im talking behind closed doors and the whole station can still hear you. Tell the guy to turn around, bend over and not look at you. See how long that little copgy has a job after that. Lodge the complaint in more than one place., not just the cop shop, hit up the DPI and send off some emails. Dont just let these things slip guys, just because its "one occurance" - these little things happen too often.
  6. Ignitor is like a distributor, it sets off the coilpacks. If the ignitor is f**ked it should overheat and drop out all cylinders, so it's likely to be the loom, or a coilpack or spark.
  7. Start in gear and shift via rev range, dont touch the clutch at all ? Got to work in peak hour doing that when the clutch fork broke. Rip the works out, put it back in one bit at a time, you'll find whatever's wrong.
  8. The coilpacks fail around 100'000km anyway, for the same reason - excessive heat, but usually the loom goes, like I said, its stiff, and when you move it to get into the valley it cracks and breaks, so its probably the ignition/coil loom from the ignitor to the coilpacks. As the car is idling, wriggle the connection on either side of the ignitor pack and see if it cuts out. If the ignitor pack is f**ked, it'll overheat and shutdown within about 60 seconds. Try another loom, and if still no luck, to work out which coil isn't working, disconnect them one at a time, until disconnecting one doesn't make a difference when you rev it, that's the one that doesn't work, where as disconnecting a working one will cause worse vibrations since it'll run on 4 cylinders, instead of 5 as it is now. Ignitor pack's dont cost much, neither do loom's, but looms can be hard to find since alot of people have the same problem. If you need to upgrade coilpacks, go Splitfires, either eBay or SlidingPerformance (who also sell brand new ignition looms), JustJap, etc You can sometimes find ventilated valley covers on eBay, or just run the engine without the cover, so it doesnt cook anything again.
  9. One more Here is how rusted they were. Nasty shit.
  10. Today I picked me up some R33 GTS-T brakes, they were a shitheap when I got them, so I sanded back the rust on the rotors, completely stripped the calipers, dismantled them, drained out whatvever that "fluid" was, repainted them, re assembled. Going to try and fit the R33 booster tomorrow, as mine is fubar'd, while I've got the Ceffy one off, good chance to paint the engine bay black (most engine bay shit is inside the car at the moment...) Also a good chance, while I have the interior out, to respray that. Need to find some 5 stud hubs before I can chuck the rotors on. Pics below. Main jobs pending: Coilovers - Next mod, HSDs for $1400 + delivery Hurry up monthly pay day!! Exhaust - 3in turbo back with new cat convertor, twin tip, and quietened down as much as possible, $1500 +/- - Already fitted an eBay turbo manifold, I decided the bling sucks, so now its coated in matt black 1500 degree paint, also painted the turbo and shell and the split dump pipe at the same time....not its camo to cops Body kit - Chasing an Autech or URAS, depending on how much clearance I can get with coilovers Body trim / glass - Hurry up TAKUSHI Paint - Dark gun metal grey, with the wheel wells, radiator / FMIC painted black. Hoping for rego just after Christmas.
  11. More details? Bad smell? Like unburnt fuel, or burning platic? Not idling right? Does the engine vibrate worse than normal when you raise the throttle ? Coilpack looms often fail after 100'000km because the loom stiffens from excessive heat inside the valley, so there's a good chance you killed the loom while taking it off to get the sparks ? As for further damage, try not to run the engine if its on 5 or less cylinders, fix the problem asap.
  12. Limit on single transactions from your bank ? Isnt there a way to put money into your paypal account, so its there and ready? Try doing that, either in a single movement, or multiple s ? Or hit up the bank. Did you get a two digit number shown up when it declined? they act as a code, like EFTPOS machines do.
  13. Im chucking those 33s on today, they're definitely a better package. The rotors are bigger, thicker and ventilated at the rear's as well. The calipers are big, two piece and don't need a bracket like the S13 / A31, they just bolt straight onto the knuckle. Front calipers are 4 piston, the rears are 2 piston, so they'll definitely go better. If you want MORE stopping power, get some of those 12 piston brakes of the of top of the line McLaren's I think these things will have no drama's slowing even an RB25/26 Ceffy, considering how much lighter they are to the R3x Skylines.
  14. tried CarDomain man? There'd be a few overseas, and a few here not on SAU to account for. Search for R33 GTRs and search keywords Tommy Kaira, then narrow it down to Australia only.
  15. I'm doing R33 this weekend. You'll want the 5 stud hubs, the rotors, the calipers and the brackets for the calipers to mount onto. They'll all fit into your C33 knuckles, then you dont have to worry about re-drilling anything for coilovers. As far as I know A31 and C33 turbo models use S13 SR20DET brakes, so the banjo bolt on the calipers is smaller than the R33 calipers, so you'll probably need to take the brake lines as well, I'm pretty sure the R33 brake lines are longer, so it shouldn't have any problems reaching.
  16. ^^ Finished Oblivion main campaing and most of the side missions, absolutely MASSIVE game, havent played in a while, but definately a milestone. Got the expansion packs here but havent got into them in a while. IMO, long game is atleast 20+ hours of game time. Not 3 hours like Crysis....like, for somebody like me, with ALOT of first person shooter experience, I passed the game only dying a handfull of times, got the game in a single pass basically, which shows just how short it was. Where as longer games, even if I dont find myself repeating levels and shit, its still lengthy.
  17. Basically a universal thing mate, almost anything will fit.
  18. Typically you can take 5 stud hubs off skylines and the brakes fit in any case. You can use any s13 aftermarket or r32 gts if you want to stay 4 stud.
  19. Looking for a full Autech kit, either S1 or S2, don't really care. The closer to Perth the better. Name your price ? -Nic
  20. Looks like he's reversed over a tree stump and ripped a wider tunnel through the whole body.
  21. I thought between Operation Flashpoint and ArmA, a step was taken backwards, in the way of automatic speech, AI, pathfinding, etc, but when I bought Arma II I was even more dissapointed. Shocking, after all the reviews noting how poor the obvious issues were, they still ignored it. Bring on Operation Flashpoint 2. Well I think repetition can be enjoyable if its actually fun, look at games like Doom, or newer, like Painkiller....mindlessly mowing down lines from the undead army by the hundred's, heavy metal in the background as blood, guts and ass go everywhere. ID are talking about Doom 4 being less scary and more fun/massacre based, which is good call, but the fear in Doom 3 was what makes the repetition tolerable. I think modding saves game sales by a massive shot, like GTA4 mentioned above, or classics like CounterStrike...years after their release, the modding community still smother's games like these with a good reason to keep dust from building up on the box over on the shelf in the corner. Better more when the producer's support or even incorporate modification opportunities into the release, anything from releasing production tools and source code, right up to competitions for modders. If I recalled correctly, Operation Flashpoint was re-released with the last patch made, along with a few of the bigger mods for the game via a competition all on the one CD - awesome idea. PS: Somtimes a repetitive game is awesome. After 9 hours at work, I dont want to do a puzzle to open a door, I want to shoot some motherf**kers without a question mark. When I'm actually awake (weekends, post-morning coffee), the "head work" is easier. Hitman is definately not a game for after work on a rainy day.
  22. dont the 25 boxes use eletrical speedo, not cable ?
  23. This method would work on any power window system, its just a matter of finding the 2 wires.
  24. Thats gay man If you use a 25 box, what else needs to be done? can you use R32 eletrical loom? or do you need to modify a Ceffy loom to have an eletrical speedo ? Apparently Supra 5 speed gearboxes are indestructable, but I dont like running big power through adapter plates personally.
  25. Whats with all the short games in the last couple of years? Including, but not limited to; Medal of Honor Crysis Assassin's Creed (to some extent, finding all the flags and hidden corners took me a little while) Call of Duty Frontlines: Fuel of War STALKER (again, yes and no, both games have some replay with alternate endings, more exploration, etc) Need For Speed I think the last decent length games I enjoyed was Doom 3, for its time, awesome graphics and around 24 hours of linear story line that CAN actually be replayed, just to see if its possible to play it from start to finish without a single jump out of the chair (Ive tried a number of times and still always forget about atleast ONE ambush/random attack/weird scary ass shit moment, shit runs down my leg every time). Are games worth their money anymore? You get some pretty graphics, and some intelligent AI, which makes the 45 minute story line a little easier to digest, but for $100 off the shelf, or even later, or second hand for $75, $50, etc, are the producer's of games giving us good value for money ? Whats worht buying, whats not: Discuss
