  2. ^^ Next weekend is a long weekend, I think you should do the transplant then I'm painting the insides of mine at the moment (inside the doors, inside the boot, engine bay, etc), to make the paint job even CHEAPER. Coilovers coming soon, exhaust, kit, paint, and hopefully a Cefiro by Christmas...otherwise I'll just be broke, and pissed off.
  3. Hey guys, A31 rear glass, is the water seal the same as anything else? Mine is missing the water seal, and the trim that goes in around is is all f**ked up. On that note, once the seal is on the glass, and glued down, how does that trim go in? just clip in? or are there points to screw it in that Im not seing? Lastly, the defogger connections? One isnt connected, do I just melt it back in with solder? Cheers fella's
  4. The bottom still looks different, as well as the extra lights. Could be a modified bar, or a custom made bar ? Have to hit up a shop that imports/makes body kits and ask them.
  5. I dont think its dodgey, but it doesnt show good signs. You can check it out, but its very unlikely to match its claims. If your a n00b and dont know what 350rwkw feels like, dont bother. If you want something with all the fruit you're definately better off here than CarSales, and aim for a GTR, or, atleast something thats not just a plain stock R33. Why not buy a stockie and do mods yourself? Its a good way to claim "built, not bought", you learn alot about your car in the process, and to start with, even a stock R3x Skyline is a vast difference to a WRX, so you'd want to start with factory power and gradually grow it as you learn the car a bit more? You'll love your car more after doing that, opposed to buying somebody else's art and not understanding it. Just my two cents. Plenty of help on this forum whichever choice you make.
  6. It'd be the truck driver who rear ended him worrying about insurance. I'm actually amazed how many have been totaled already. Saw one on eBay USA (....yeah), completely f**ked going for $16000 USD, was running, but the chassis, axles and wheels were all f**ked well beyond repair. Steve on Anti-lag totaled one which eh kept for a parts car I believe. Now this one the freeway? dunno if it was totaled or not. Its a good thing theyre cheap compared to other super cars, and alot more in production, haha
  7. Dont think it's anybody on here. Dont buy that one. If you want all show/bling and dont care about performance, buy a stockie and work it up. No racism intended, but Ive seen alot of sales of Imports from Middle Eastern (ie, "Saaid" as per the link you gave) sellers go sour pretty quick. Forums like this one would be more reliable for buying locally. That CarSales one might be a legit find though, dunno. I wouldnt pay $17000 for a seemingly stock R33 which apparently produces 350 RW Kws
  8. Depending on what you're after, you're probably better off buying locally. Even something thats actually hard to find, like my Cefiro for example, can be found with enough patience. Dont rush it and buy the wrong car, and definately dont be one of those idiots who imports a bog stock Skyline and claims they have an "imported JDM drift spec" model, first owner, etc.

Importers wont list much on their site, simply because on a daily basis, Japan auctions and sells hundreds of thousands of cars. The way that part works is you tell an importer what you want, and they go and find as many of that as they can, and then you choose. Price of the vehicle is the only major variable, shit like import costs, compliance, rego etc is around the same, dunno about AutoWorx, but Imports101 have a calculator on their site for that kind of thing. Also look into ImportMonster, which now translates Yahoo Auctions from Japan into English, and now has an importing service.
  12. Very hard to keep track of, I know of Cefiro's in the Eastern states that were built here in Perth, likewise, my Ceffy is from Queensland. I know of Cefiro's that were in Perth, went over East, then came back to Perth....yeah, wow. I can account for approximately 10 known street registered Cefiro's in Perth, and have seen 5 with my own eyes. There'd be another 10 or so that are B Class Rego/Race Use only, or unregistered, plus mine. As for others, I know of 2 Laurels in Perth, and have seen one on the road. I know of 2 Cima's, seen both, one registered. Have seen Cedric's for sale, and there is currently an 1965 Cedric for sale here in Perth, still to find any Gloria's, Leopards, etc

Thanks Dan_J Just worked out: RWD Cefiro = S13 Suspension 3 hole at the fronts + 2 Hole at the rears AWD Cefiro = R32 GST-4/GTR Suspension 2 Hole on all 4s I'm ordering HSD TTs when I get paid again at the end of the month (yeah, monthly pay has its pro's and con's), getting A S13 set of 7KG with a proper plate for the rears on Cefiro's. Now before those arrive, I have to upgrade these shitty RB20DE brakes...old, rusted, half seized having not moved in a couple of months now.
  14. The cockpit view is pretty sweet I'll admit, the first game I've played where using it is actually possible in a race. I'd like to see an incabe view where the camera looks where you're going for you, ie. if you lose traction or in a drift, it isnt just looking straight forward. With the way I've got my controls setup, I'd need a third arm to drive (up/down/left/right), shift gears (left CTRL + SHIFT), and move camera (numpad) LOL $3000, never built a computer have you? My setup cost me $1500, worth $5000 in a shop if I didnt build it myself. I spend about $500 every 12-18 months, and I can run even DirectX 10 games at maxed settings on a decent frame rate. If I buy a card now, you think in 6 months your PS3 (which is already how old now?) Is still going to have just as good graphics? Doesnt make sense mate, especially when you're stuck with the same hardware and software setup, and DX9. Still, I see the point you make, some people live in their computer room their whole life, and poor thousands every couple of months, into new hardware and new games to test it out on. One day, they might buy a car and get laid...maybe.

  16. There's ways to pull harnesses open and work out what wires are what with a multimeter, but you're best to leave that in the hands of a qualified auto electrician, DIY could result in an airbag being deployed every time your unlock the car instead, or something.
  17. High end PC for the winning, all you PS3 and XBOX 360 kids can bend over to increased load times, crappy graphics, bugs, and whats the Microsoft points bullshit? Back to the original topic, got the game last night, and played for a while, and a little again tonight. I think this is like ProStreet, it takes alot of getting used to, but once you're used to it, and got all the tuning down pat, it's a fun game. The blurring when crashing might suck, but when you hit a wall at 100kmp/h, dont honestly expect clear vision as you spin completely out of control. The graphics are otherwise pretty. Anybody got drifting down yet? I had a quick go at that, ALOT different to the other titles. Maybe because I'm using keyboard, time for a wheel and pedals I think

  19. Im suprised the S13s come in a 12 / 10 setup, no S13 could surely need that stiff a setup, even track only drift cops .... that'd be a bitch to drive, like not having suspension at all ?
  20. See if A/T Diagnostics throws any codes first? Try the obvious shit like checking switches, tranny ECU, doing a reset etc If its only between second and third, and every other gear shift is OK, count on it being a problem at the ECU. Make sure the "power/comfort" switch is set to normal or comfort if R33s have one? Price range to fix could vary from Free -> sweet f**k all -> new gearbox.

Well in that case, thank you very much I've been cleaning sanding and painting the hard spots on my Ceffy, like inside the wheel wells, doors, front bar, etc, to reduce the cost of my paint job. Seeing as I go overboard on perfectionism, I ended up taking ALL of the suspension on one side out, opened it up to take the spring out to clean it properly, and couldnt close it back down, so decided that's it, time for coilovers, paint can come later. Stupid old springs, either their age or the fact theyre welded down to reduce ride height (again, guys, do not buy cars off eBay from Queensland....).
  22. Yeah, I've got three holes in each strut tower, haven't actually ever looked at the rears though. Will S13 be ok to hold the extra weight ? I thought stiffer springs would be needed to hold up the RB motor and generally bigger body ? otherwise it would sag? The reason Im fussy on the ride quality and height is that the car still isn't rego'd. AWD models share the same suspension and drivetrain setup as GTS-4s and GTRs (R32) which would explain the 2 hole / 3 hole tower setup. Dunno why, but maybe some morons, not realizing how rare AWD A31s are, convert them to RWD setups ?
  23. Must just be a modified factory kit? Did you get the car from Japan, or somewhere else ?? Front bars have to be cut in any case to fit a FMIC in, which sucks, over here cops love to give us trouble for it, apparently painting them black makes them invisible ? Havent tried it yet, but I know a black intercooler would make a white / light colored Ceffy look f**king mean.
  24. Thanks man, just checked both of those out. HSD looks promising, know of anyone in Australia that sells them ? Checked out ISC and they dont have a part number to match the A31s but the spring rates are 10 + 8, I dont think even 35+ dampening would make that very smooth?
