  1. What have I been doing lately? Except the screaming that I want my stag on the road again... Blow parts of the engine in august, in a period without the cash to rebuild it again at the moment. But it was a nice blow - like the formula1 breakdowns with 300meters of smoke. ;-) More pictures at: http://gatbilar.se/s...san_Stagea_RS4/ (2*3076, but I'm changing that for One GT35 instead...) We have only got -15degrees C at the moment and I've got a garage without heating, so I do the work at the livingroom. ;-) I hope to have a drivable car at the end of Mars - and I hope the rods hold out for one season at their absolute limit. I'll guess the gearbox will blow really soon. :-) There is some things happening in Sweden. ;-)
  2. I shall redo the test with oil in when possible. We did the test in the garage with a cold engine, all plugs out and even cranks. We did 2 tests and they show the same. Do you think i shall disassemble the engine before ordering parts? This looks like it gets bigger for each time I think about it.
  3. Hi. I wonder where i can find relatively cheap pistonrings, bearings and gaskets. I've searches ebay but you in here might know more (as you always do). I've made a compressiontest with this result: Is there enough to change the pistonrings, headgasket and get sure the valves fit tightly? The plan is to get RB26-rods into the engine when it's open and change the bearings to get the bottom ready for all my future plans. Do i need something specific to do this? Or do you have better suggestions what to do? Which parts do I need that i haven't wrote? Which sizes on bearings/pistonrings? (I don't know anything about the engine and rather don't want to wait for parts...) Edit: The engine has run 97000km according to dashboard. Med vänlig hälsning Micke
  4. I plan to make a vectorisation and then have a machine cut out a multilayersteal gasket.
  5. Hi. I need a blueprint of the headgasket for the RB25DET engine. Do someone have that or the possibility to put a headgasket into a scanner and upload the picture? All pictures I've found have got oval cylinders on 1, 2, 5 & 6, and that will not give a good gasket. I will try to fabricate a gasket on my own just for fun. Do anyone have the possibility to help me? //Micke
  6. I want to see how it looks, but i don't want to travel around the world to see it.
  7. You finnish people is more crazy than we are in sweden. But I know your challange, and I'll think about it. It's fun to get tattooed so the only problem is that you shall keep out of the sun, and I'm not geting it done before may, and then our stagmeeting can be without baths or sauna.
  8. Stainless steel. 3layers of 0.4mm stainless with "glue" between them to avoid leaks. Got some trouble to find it, skylines are not that common here and we got ~30stags in the country at the moment. I know one open engine at the moment and tries to get him to scan what he can. (He too thinks about making an own head gasket so i'm not alone.)
  9. Hello. I need a blueprint on a rb25det headgasket for vectorization. Anyone who knows where i can find that? I plan to make my own head gasket just for fun.
  10. The synchro lock button will go above 100km/h, so I don't know if that's a low speed to you. It does change the car handling like night or day when playing with the car. The car will be extremely aggressive and need hard commands to respond to what you do, or you'll spin out of control with wheels spinning at speeds between 70 and 120km/h. With the lock off you'll have the kindest car you can find to powerslide and such. It just follow smoothly and you can turn with one finger if you want to. I've tried this out in snow - and believe me, you will NOT use the "Snow"-mode when the snow falls. "Power"-mode on and playtime is started. But mine has became a little thirsty - 3 liters/10km - but it's fun as ****.
  11. We had to abort because of them, and they started to flash the headlights like they were some kind o polices. Unfortunatly we didn't get the real police on camera. They were very suspicious when they saw us just before attempt one.
  12. Just had to post the finished video:
  13. Thank you again! You in here saves me over and over again. So wonderful to have a place with all the knowledge as in here. I'll start to mount a tempgauge to be able to check it. Then i'll think about changes. I've got the intercooler in front of the oilcooler so i'll guess it rises the temp a degree or two. Need to get a sensor asap. (And I'll get the enginetemp to the right level in about 2min.)
  14. Thanx so much. Haven't thought that it can be to cold. Which temperature is recommended for the transmission? I need to mount a gauge for it just to have control, but it's no idea if i don't know where it shall be. Temperature is changing between 0 and -20 degrees C. We just need to be crazy so we don't freeze to death.
