Brakes ... EBC Greenstuff pads and DBA rotors ?
Jay95R33 replied to JiMb0's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Greenstuffs are great, and the slotted discs would be good too. They wear the pads a bit quicker but apparently bite better and have less fade. The cross drilled...........Mmmmmm, I 'heard' that DBA rotors that are cross drilled aren't reckomended for track work cause they have been know to crack between the drill holes. -
Not really sure, do you mean the length of the filter, or the diameter of the hole where it joins on to the AFM?
-
Yepp, my right rear pillow ball mount (sits on top of the strut) does what your are describing. Apparently it's very common. Mine has been like that since I got the car and hasn't got any worse. J

Not yet !!!! But it's not too far away. In the next few weeks I should have something for you guys. Looks like I'll have to buy a reem of paper and a box of 50 stamps cause that's about how many people are after it LOL. But yeah, I've just got to get the time to do it. I'm getting a 3 inch mandrel font pipe put on on this Saturday morning. I'll let you guys know how it goes. J

G'day Megg's, Just wondering, I downloaded that Nissan simulator game, it looks great but does it only work with steering wheels??? I can't get it to work with a joystick or the keyboard. Thanks J

Shell - Drift Spice.... LOL that's cool. Hay if your getting the 901's too, then can you find the cheapest place for me, cause I'm looking at a rear set in a month or two

Not sure where you can get the AlcoBond from, I scabbed some from a mate. Normal sheet aluminium would work just as well I think. J
-
Prank, The stuff I used was AlcoBond. It's two sheets of 1mm aluminium seperated by 3mm of plastic. It has really good reflective and heat insulation properties. Then on the inside I coated it with the clark rubber insulating foam stuff. Works well, and looks good too. lol

Prank, Pics of cold air box. When I get off my butt I'll take the thing apart and draw up a template and send it your way. I'm going to make a front for it so it's totally sealed. Oh, BTW, these pics will only be there until COB 30th May as dingoblue is going under, so download and save them somehwere, they are a pain in the ringhole to keep emailing. http://members.dingoblue.net.au/~jayson77/...7/519_SMALL.JPG http://members.dingoblue.net.au/~jayson77/...7/520_SMALL.JPG http://members.dingoblue.net.au/~jayson77/...7/521_SMALL.JPG http://members.dingoblue.net.au/~jayson77/...7/522_SMALL.JPG http://members.dingoblue.net.au/~jayson77/...7/523_SMALL.JPG http://members.dingoblue.net.au/~jayson77/...7/524_SMALL.JPG http://members.dingoblue.net.au/~jayson77/...7/525_SMALL.JPG http://members.dingoblue.net.au/~jayson77/...7/553_SMALL.JPG http://members.dingoblue.net.au/~jayson77/...7/554_SMALL.JPG http://members.dingoblue.net.au/~jayson77/...7/555_SMALL.JPG http://members.dingoblue.net.au/~jayson77/...7/556_SMALL.JPG http://members.dingoblue.net.au/~jayson77/...7/557_SMALL.JPG http://members.dingoblue.net.au/~jayson77/...7/558_SMALL.JPG http://members.dingoblue.net.au/~jayson77/...7/559_SMALL.JPG http://members.dingoblue.net.au/~jayson77/...7/560_SMALL.JPG http://members.dingoblue.net.au/~jayson77/...7/561_SMALL.JPG http://members.dingoblue.net.au/~jayson77/...7/570_SMALL.JPG J

I'm with SunCorp too !!! What's going on here??? I get slogged $1360 per year with mods, 31 years old, 60%NCB, I like their 60% for life thing. Prank - I not sure but I think they don't touch under 25's  J
-
Hmmm, where do I start..... Finish off and seal up the cold air partition that I made. PRANK let me know if you want any pics, I can send the template to you. 3 inch dump pipe and front pipe to cat. Fix the crapy bend that a exhaust shop put in (not really important but it's bugging me). Get a front mount on. New FM901's on the back cause the ones I have at the moment don't do much. Get the front spoiler fixed/repainted where I nudged a gutter !!! Adjustable fuel reg once the front mounts on to bring down the A/F ratios. Ummmm, that's all for now. J

A mate bought a R32 GTS4 in Vic (through a dealer) which came with 12 months Vic rego. When it came time to transfer it over to NSW (where he lives) it had to have a full compliance check!!!! This was (apparently) due to the change of states. Now I'm not sure if it was because it was an import or becuase of the big (tryhard) crack down on the rebirthing of stolen vechicles interstate. Soooo, I'd say that you would need more that a blue slip. It sort worked out good (if not a pain in the ass) cause the dealer didn't do all the things for the compliancing that he should have. J

should I hi flow my turbo? as its shagged
Jay95R33 replied to meggala's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
GTS32t, I had a chat to him, he is a bit reluctant to sell it but he said make an offer and he'll see what he thinks. He said that when he was looking for a duel entry turbo CT26 he was quoted between $600-800 for a second hand one (he told me to mention this   ) I can arrange pics if you want some. J -
Thanks Ryan, Now I don't have to get really confused to where the writing is going when I'm pissed.. lol J

Jay95R33 replied to meggala's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
GTS32t, I'll find out today for you. Just for info, it came off of a MR2 turbo, ATM in standard form it has a ceramic exhaust wheel, NON ball bearing, and pretty sure the mounts are TO4 (can someone confirm this???), but I'll measure them up. The motor it came off of had done 94,000km, and the motor was in good nik, so I'd say it was treated good. J -
LOL Shell, I was thinking about going out for a drive tonight, but then I opened up the carboard and low and behold - there was a bottle of Jack Daniels staringat me.... Skyzerr33, Ussualy (speking - not my fualt, my fingers are drunk) 800x600, but I turned it upto 1024x768 and the problem is still there. Hmmm, might have another one....

Gezz, A bloke could really get in trouble on that site with a Visa card.. I like the price of the S-AFC's, and there's 10% on top of that too. -

Jay95R33 replied to meggala's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Hmmm, yeah that might be too big. You sorta get to a point where you have to spend big bucks, I'd don't think I would cross the line... LOL -
Prank, Check out the 6 puk clutch that UAS sells. I've help install one in a GT4 and one in a R32 GTS4. Both have a really light pedal but have good clamping preasure (about 40% more than standard. They bite quickish, but very drivable in traffic. I think they are $595 exchange for the GTS-t's. J

Is there any way of limiting how wide the page is? I noticed that a few people have picys in there title that make the page really wide and it's a pain in the ringhole to keep scrolling accross (can you tell I'm bored and half pissed ). thanks J

Jay95R33 replied to meggala's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I know this is a different turbo, but a mate had his CT26 highflowed to a TO4e, on his GT4. I was expecting bigger lag cause it had bigger wheels both sides put in. But to my supprise it spooled up quicker than the standard one did and pulled much much harder (and could go to 19psi with on worries. Now I'm not sure if this will be the case with the one you have Meg's, but it might be worth looking into. Looks like 200rwkw is very easy to get on the highflowed ones (damn I'd love to have 200rwkw 8O ). BTW: if anyone wants the CT26 of my mates, I'm sure he would get rid of it. J -
