  1. Wow, you've been busy with your Stagea. I'll be keeping a keen eye on this thread. Thanks yet again J
  2. This link might help. http://homepages.tig.com.au/~robs/hicaslock.htm
  3. Godzillr - you didn't get bent over, you just didn't have all the stuff on your car to pass rego The child restraints are required by law, as are working headlights and an owners manual. But it's still a pain in the butt and I can understand why your a little Pi$$ed Having to take your car back out there is a major pain, especially if you work f/t and live on the other side of town.. On my old car I was failed on a missing wheel nut !! I didn't even notice that it wasn't there. It was a pain in the butt to get time off work and take it back over just cause of one damn nut I've found them to be pretty good. But before you take it over the pitts have a good look over the car and check everything out etc.. Even if it's a clean looking car it could have worn castor rod bushes (pretty common), or a small leak somewhere that they have to fail you on J
  4. That's for the info SK. Great effort, and will help all of us. J
  5. Dude, no need to post the same thing in 3 different places. We'll find it and help you. There's been a few threads about this, so doing a search will find a heap of info, but I think the end result is that it's cheaper and easier to just buy a GTS-t But I'm sure someone has done it before. J
  6. Driftt - what PSI were you running before the tune ? 12psi ? Cheers J
  7. Nooooooooo.... It wasn't me.. Oh hang on, it was me.. Canberra is such a small world, freaked me out a bit to turn the corner and there's Shell's car ! Almost got lost trying to get out of the place too. J
  8. Cool, Oh, the ECU isn't in the boot It's under the passengers side kick panel - where their left foot sits. Pull the plastic panel off and you'll see the ECU. It might have stamped on the cover that it's a Mines, or you might have to unscrew the cover and have a look at the chip etc... Mines ECU's tend to run more timing advance than the stock ones, so this could make it a little prone to ping. J
  9. I had a rim repaired out at The Wheel Factory out in Queanbhole. They did a good job and only cost about $120. Give them a buzz and see what they can do. J
  10. Andrew - I ran 12 psi on my stockie for about 12 months and it was fine, bit I do drive like a granny . But the thing I'd be worried about in your setup is the ECU. Being a Mines ECU (and probably tuned in JP) then it'll be tuned for 100ron. So turning up the boost might get it to ping. Plus summer is on it's way and you know how hot it gets in Canberra I'd keep it safe at 10psi for now. J
  11. G'day mg181 - any chance of posting up some pics ? Thanks J
  12. I swap ya my rear wing for your front spoiler/grill Seriously, if you want a stock one try the Jap wreckers. They'll let their contacts in Japan know to keep an eye out for one. J
  13. I can understand why people are getting frustrated with Steve. He is saying 'we can do XXX with stock injectors' when it goes totally against all therory, and he won't give any hints as to how he has done it. So what sort of responce does he expect when he won't give any details. This is a information sharing site after all isn't it ? I think he just likes stiring the pot. Also, just because the stock injectors are sitting in the rail doesn't mean they haven't been modified in some way. J
  14. LOL - I think your Father's Stagea is gunna be the fastest Aus/NZ one for a while yet. 11.7 is damn quick and very respectable
  15. G'day Leigh, Follow the link in my Sig below and in the thread where I sell the replacement gearstick and handbrake boots you'll find a text file with a step by step how to. If you get stuck just drop me a PM and I'll give you a ring. Cheers Jayson
  16. Good number Magic. Do the RB25det's run a cold start injector ? I can't remember if they do or not... Just thinking that if they do, and your car was still in cold start mode, then the cold start injector (if there is one) would have been squirting away at the sametime. May explain a few things. J
  17. How much does it cost to highflow injectors in WA ?
  18. Sounds good Thanks for organising this, good work. Do you have an order date in mind yet? Or do you want to wait a week or so to see if there's any more interest ? J
  19. I know the sensor that your talking about B-Man. I've often wondered what the hell it is..
  20. I thought the Proncams where dialed right straight out of the box (no need to run adj cam gears etc). I'm probably wrong though J
  21. Cool, thanks Zane. I've just sent you another PM. Cheers J
  22. Burkey22 - Is it the pull back cover? Or the big plastic mat thingy? If it's the cover I'll grab it off you I'll drop you a PM. J
  23. What I found out about the output of the tacho is that you'll need to use a very high impendence load so you don't drain the signal. It doesn't take much of a load to make the signal stay below 3v, and 3v won't run the tacho... Also, a quick short of the tacho output will result in popping a resistor in teh ECU (I found this out the hard way !). So you problem could be one of two things. Someone in the past tried to hook up a after market tacho or shift light and stuffed it up resulting in a blown ECU, or the tacho your running now isn't compatible (is it the factory one ?) and the impedance is too low. To test the signal you need an oscilloscope, a standard multimeter won't do it Just earth the ground of the oscilloscope to the ground of the ECU and probe the ECU tacho output, you'll see the signal being pulled to ground - just a normal square wave. I can't help you with where to tap your SAFC into to get another signal
  24. I'm dead keen on getting one of these too, although don't bother trying to get a new one from Nissan - been there, done that, and I'm still getting over the shock of the price. J
  25. No problems. Just remember that Nissan Fast came back and said the production date was January 1996. The production date is the date that it was built and rolled off the factory floor. Not sure why your plate says 1995. J
