  1. I've posted this before, but I'll mention it again. Now I know that a few people have been there and had good work done, so it's possible that they have had a change of ownership since I had my car there.... I had some intercooler pipework done there, only needed 2 pipes about 2 feet long with two bends in each welded up. They charged me $400... Plus the weld joins had 3 leaks in them.... Plus there was an extra 13km on the tachometer.... Plus the clutch was slipping when I picked it up... I don't think I'd go back there again. Some places might be the cheapest, but it might be worth paying an extra 5-10% to a shop you can trust. I've been to Powertone twice now and I'll go back there again without hessitation. J
  2. Best way to tell is to post up your chassis number and we'll have a look on the Nissan Fast software. It'll tell us when it was built and the options. J
  3. Damn I'll be interested to see how they go when you put them on. Could be a cheap upgrade. J
  4. Any idea when this is going ahead? Are you just waiting for numbers? If it's in the next few weeks I'll probably grab one as well. Thanks - and good work J
  5. SK - have you installed the GTR swaybars in your Stagea yet ? Just wondering how you went. Cheers J
  6. This link will help. http://www.secret-secret.com/turbo/DIY/tir.../turbotire.html J
  7. Ahh, very cool In the R33's it's one of the fuses in the boot. R32's I'm not too sure cause I don't think they have fuses in the boot J
  8. I can line up an electric scooter motor for you. If you want to go fullsik you can get the 'heavy duty' battery for them !!
  9. Nothing a bit of silicone and sticky tape won't fix
  10. I had the 'Prince Chiba' or something sticker on the back of mine. I think it lasted about 2 days until I got the metho out on it Term - we'll have to meet up soon, I'm keen to check you car out. It looks damn sweet with that bodykit on. J
  11. Are you changing the fuel pump? Want to make sure there's no presure in the fuel line ? If so then yepp, pull the fuse while the car is idling and wait for it to stall, then you should be right to go. J
  12. Does your alarm cut the fuel pump as one of it's cut points ?? Worth a check if you have an alarm.
  13. Nice car - that front is spot on
  14. One fella here on SAU is getting 273rwkw out of one, but apparently it is on the limit. So I don't think it'd get to 300. They seem OK for upto ~230-250. J
  15. What are they like for noise ? Are they noisey at all ? Thanks J
  16. Tango - do mind if I ask how much the pump was ?
  17. You see the black strip on the front bumper, well that strip follows the same line down the doors and around the rear bumper on mine. Looks like RB26VL's has been colour coded or maybe it was another factory option.
  18. Wow, colour coding that black plastic stripe over the doors and rear bumper makes a big difference. Looks really good. Will this be the beast that's getting the RB26 ? J
  19. Stagea + Beach = :headbang: I bet the 4wd button came in handy for the beach
  20. Insane - any chance of posting up a few pics of what you've got. I'd be interested to see if you have the front grill, and if the grill has the spotties in it......And if it'll fit a 1996/1997 model.....And... oh, nope that's all J
  21. Yepp, get new ones in there. The smallest bit of dirt in the valve will kill it I got replacement boot straight from Nissan (factory part) for about $38, but there was a 4 week delay while it was getting shipped from Japan. I'd go generic if you can. As said before, make sure you take the bump stop out of the old one and put it in the new one... I think I've got a few rubbers left over (no boots though) that I didn't end up using like bump stops etc... let me know if you need them and they are yours for nothing J
  22. The ciggie lighter has a light around it if I remember right. This light only comes on when the headlights are on. Seems the boost gauge light is only a few watts, you can tap into the ciggie lighter light and use that. Don't forget to ground the earth wire of the boost gauge light J
  23. From what I've heard there's only two others here in Canberra. A really nice red one that I see sometimes, and another silver one that I haven't seen as yet. Neither of them are on SAU J
  24. I was going to write up some feedback, but I though that it'd be better to read the 80+ posts about it via the search function - those 80+ posts will give better information that I ever could in one post.
