  1. Cool, Good stuff Brad J
  2. Yepp Wrote her off... Very sad, good memories from the R33... Got a Stagea RS4-V now.. It's sorta like a Skyline wagon BTW - BUMP... Still got the bleed valve for sale, also have 2 factory R33 GTS-t wheels with no tyres on them for sale. J
  3. Oh jesus !! Man, I hope your leg is going to be OK..... I hate hearing about fellow SAU members having accidents Would've been scary stuff seeing the car on fire and being trapped in there. J
  4. Which tuner in Canberra did you take it too ? (PM me - might be better). There's a few in Canberra that do it. J
  5. Sounds like clutch slip to me What sort of clutch do you have, and how old is it ? J
  6. I'm just going on what Nissan has documented in their workshop manual. I presume Nissan would know what is correct way to do it. J
  7. OK, just spent the last hour outside having a play. Looking under the dash I found one plug that had a single black wire going into it and a single yellow (with a stripe) coming out of it - see the attached pic. I found the plug strapped to another wiring loom, and if the GTR's under dash is the same as the Stagea's, then just follow the hood realise cable and it's sitting right near it (you'll see it in the pic). I thought it was strange that it was very accessible So I pulled the plug apart, started the car and pumped the brakes 5 times within 10 seconds and you wouldn't know it but the 4wd light started flashing twice for every second !!! I suppose this will be safe to do seems that it's in the R33 service manual. It doesn't say anything about 'do not drive the car like this etc...', but it'll be good to try it out on some dirt or wet grass somewhere to see if only the rears spin. Anyway, I thought this may help a few people so give it a try. Anybody want to comment? J
  8. I thought this might be related so I'll post a link. Getting your Stagea into 2wd mode for dyno runs - http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...95&postcount=10 J
  9. Has anyone tried doing what the R33 Service manual says to do (see attached pic). No. 1 says to unplug the air evac plug under the dash, turn the ignition on and pump the brakes 5 times with 10 seconds of turning the ignition on. If you've done it right the 4wd light on the dash will flash twice every 1 second.... Might be easier than draining fluid and then bleeding the system when you've finished. I'm going to try it on my Stagea to see if it works (not sure if it will, I think the ATTESSA is slightly different). I just need to work out which plug to disconnect cause the diagram isn't much help !! J
  10. Cool, I understand now So instead of going from the T piece through the solenoid then back into the inlet, you've just gone straight from the T piece to the inlet. Your a brave man, not saying that you don't know what your doing, but the first thought in my head would've been 'hmmm, what happens if it bleeds too much air...' But I suppose good throttle control the first time you try it would help J
  11. I think I'm picturing your setup wrong... (it is a Friday and my brain slows down ). So you've got a T piece there instead of the soleniod ? Is that right ? So from the inlet crossover (plenum) pipe you've got a hose going to a T piece, then from the T piece, one side goes back into the intake and the other side goes to the wastegate ? What I'm getting confused about is that heaps of blokes have hooked the solenoid up so it's always open (give it constant power) and only getting an increase to 8psi. But this might be a new method of increasing your boost on the cheap J
  12. Yepp, that's it SK. I'm 99% sure that the setup in the Stagea's is the same as the setup in the R33 GTS-t's. At one stage I had a hose going straight from the inlet crossover pipe to the wastegate. Once I did that Idodn't see anything over 5psi. CoolPC - I think your one of the lucky bugga's with a 11-12 psi wastegate. J
  13. I'll be in for one as well
  14. Hmmm, I thought bypassing the stock solenoid would keep it on the low (5-6psi) level.. What did it run stock? J
  15. Spotted a Green series 6 RX7 doing about 2-3 360 spins before going off the road backwards and JUST missing a light post !!!! He turned left off of Drakeford drive to head across the bridge to the Hyper D. He must have tried to take the corner at over 100km/h. Got the backend out to the right, then to the left, then back the right, then left again, then right AGAIN, then left into a few full 360's !!! I heard a loud thump and scrape as he left the road. The car didn't hit anything so I kept on going. He just sat there for a while (maybe cleaning his seat!) before moving off slowly The scary thing was that he came pretty close to crossing over the road and going straight for me J
  16. SK - once I drove for about 60km with the fuel light on (damn that light makes you paranoid ) then I managed to squeeze 62lt in her. Usually I fill up when the light comes on and it takes about 57ish lt. Maybe your light is sensitive. J
  17. Fuel ecconomy is the only downfall of the Stagea It stock form I wasgetting about 16lt per 100km... Which isn't the best. Fuel tank holds about 60-65 litres if I'm right - anyone confirm that? Not sure how well a fuel modifier (SAFCII etc) will combat that problem, but time will tell. J
  18. Yepp, it could well be. This is why the tuner has to know what he/she is doing..
  19. Yes it will. If you fool the ECU into thinking there's less air flow, then the ECU is going to use different points in the ignition maps. J
  20. G'day Joel, I was wondering if that was you on Torreztz I get a heap of stuff from that site, it's all free downloads for me For the people that can't get to it, the Tracker is limited to only people that are on the NSW Pipe. If your ISP doesn't use the NSW Pipe (eg. your in another state) you won't be able to access it.... J
  21. Man it's gunna be a tight fit !! I'm talking millimeters !! I'm gunna buy one and see how it goes. Thanks again Jimbo. J P.S. - LOL, I just noticed that I said I'd buy you a beAr.... I meant beEr.. LOL
  22. Cool, thanks Jimbo - I'll buy you a bear if we ever meet
  23. Hahaha, Yepp, total height, width and depth. I'm stuck cause I can't put it where your is cause of the ABS. The other side has the battery, and the alarm is mounted right in front of the brake master cycl.... I 'might' be able to fit it up the top lefthand side if I remove a bracket.... Or maybe mount it right next to the power steering container, but the bottom of it will be pretty damn close to the turbo heat shield... Thanks J
