  1. Yepp, SK bought that TOMEI one off of me, and it came straight off of my old R33 GTS-t - so yeah, they are interchangable. J
  2. Looks good SK, should help a little when your towing the R32 too
  3. Hmm, I think for that power you could stick with the stock manifold, but you could reach that power easier if you had the HKS manifold... Tough call. I'd probably hold off on them. J
  4. Hmm, I've only ever seen one set of these before, but they were very nicely made What sort of power goals are you looking at? My first thought was if your not going for anything wild, then the $2k may be better spent somewhere else. But if your after decent numbers with after market (ie HKS ) turbo's, then it may be worth while. J
  5. Umm, not sure if it's a true bolt up replacement. You'll have to check it out for sure. Only takes about 5 mins to get the BOV off. Just don't have it too loose, otherwise it may not hold boost. There's a few ways around the stalling problems. SAFCII has a setting to stop it from stalling. HKS also have a small device that will stop it. The only way to stop the stalling problem WITHOUT using one of these electrical doova's is to ran a MAP sensor instead of a AFM (but you can't do that on the stock ECU, or use a plumb back BOV. Really comes down to how keen you are to get the psssshhhhtttt noise J
  6. Mcnamg - Are you sitting down ? Usually get around 16lt per 100km !!! But for the last tank I gave it a bit of hard driving to test the new Hankook 104's... Got about 18lt per 100km. I'll be changing the O2 sensor soon, I tested it and it wasn't giving the expected voltage (as per the service manual), so changing it may give me better fuel econ. PranK - Very cool I've got a silver one too I've got a few pics of it up in the ACT 'Members Rides' thread. Evo-Lee - Thanks man Would love to get some tuning advise from your (Japan) way. Not much is in english though But that's all the fun of it, starting the fad going. J
  7. I've said it before and I'll say it again.... TRUE SLEEPER Just on the trans cooler - is it worth while upgrading if your not going to do any towing, just the very occasional traffic lights drag ? Good to see that mine isn't the only Stagea that like to drink either J
  8. $20 for the stock BOV and I'll pay postage ? Cheers J
  9. Yepp, if it's at 1pm then I've got less chance of being able to make it
  10. Still up for sale - will take *reasonable* offers.
  11. Is it a plumb back type ?? If it vents out to the air and you may have stalling problems. J
  12. LOL - yepp, hope for sun.... I think it was my fault. I washed my car the other day, then the chick next door washed her car too... That's just asking for a week of rain
  13. Weather for Saturday and Sunday doesn't look good
  14. I'd do the engine mods something like this; 1. Full 3 inch exhaust and high flow cat 2. High flow panel filter in stock airbox 3. Adj exh cam gear 4. Front mount intercooler (GTR etc..) or upgraded side mount (in stock location) 5. SAFC II (or simular) to fix the stupidly rich A/F mixtures you'll have. May need fuel pump depending on power level and what your target HP is. mg181 - be careful about removing the air bag steering wheel, I think it's a big defect if you do. I personally like the safety feature. J
  15. Pic as promissed. A bit dirty (nothing a wash wouldn't fix), but no damage. J
  16. Imagine air flow to be simular to the flow of water. Then think of boost as a messure of restriction to flow. The other way to think of it is - there's only so much water you can flow out of a 3/4 inch hose at 1 bar of pressure. But if you reduce the restriction and use a 2 inch hose at 1 bar then you'll flow a heap more water. Remember that the restriction isn't always the pipe size, it could be intercooler design, end tank design, head ports/valve design.. Heaps of different things. So, yepp, to increase flow without increasing boost you just need to reduce the restriction. I better go now, my brain hurts J
  17. G'day Simon, No worries, I'll post some pics up tomorrow in the daylight etc.. I don't mind sending the to Melb as long as you arrange the frieght and courier to come pick them up. I don't mean to sound like an a$# hole, but I couldn't be bothered arranging it all and boxing them up just for $120. Cheers J
  18. very cool.. Yepp, I'm VERY keen to get my hands on one of those screens (for the right price ). Thanks J
  19. Wow, nice and clean. You must have polished it recently. Ohhh, you have one of those screens that you can pull back to cover the cargo area... Mine doesn't have one, I've got a import place trying to find me one, but I might take a stab in the dark and see how much they are from Nissan. What's the bet that's it'll be over $500 new from Nissan ? J
  20. G'day all, I've got two stock R33 GTS-t rims for sale. They are nude ie. NO TYRES !! No dints or scratches. Good for putting burnout tyres on, or maybe a set of semi slicks for the drags After $120 ONO for the pair. Rims are in Canberra and would prefer to sell locally as freight may end up being pretty expensive. J
  21. You should be OK. Just be gentle with it and don't drop it. Try and spray a fine mist onto the actual sensor in the AFM. And use a spray that doesn't leave any oil behind (something like brake cleaner is good). J
  22. If all goes to plan I'll be there for the photoshoot. Won't be able to make it to the BBQ though
  23. Ouch, lucky you picked up on it... I can see it now, traveling down the road and seeing a wheel go past.... Hang on, that's my wheel !! When I got the R33 GTS-t (years ago), one of the studs were rooted, I took it into that tyre place in Phillip on the main drag and they put a new stud in the hub for me. I think it was $70 all up or something... J
  24. Well, the starter motor is on the wrong side of the motor. So it's either not a RB or they didn't use the RB gearbox bell housing on it. J
  25. LOL, drop into Autotech down the Hyper D and have a chat to John, John is on these forums sometimes. He had a R33 GTS-t with a very nice setup in it (sold it recently). He is pretty switched on when it comes to stereo stuff and Skylines J
