  1. Shhhhh.... Don't tell them that
  2. Oh crap, that's no good Shell It freaks you out when it happends.. Damn Roo's Umm, I'll find out the name of the panel shop out in Hume that helpped me out when I had my prang. They do good work, but not sure on the price etc... J
  3. Good to see you got the door problem sorted out SK.
  4. G'day Shell - how you been? Yepp, the poor old R33 was written off I might post up some pics just for memory sake... The payout finally came through this week so I'm in the hunt for a Stagea I've let J-Spec know that I'm keen on one (Dark blue, leather interior, sunroof), and he's keeping an eye out for me. There's also 2 up in QLD (one hasn't got a sunroof), but it's a pain buying from interstate Just gotta play the waiting game now.. J
  5. Knytestorme - thanks for the heads up. I'll give them a buzz and see what they can do. I've got my building/contents insurance with them too, so I think they give a further 10% discount Hopefully with the Stagea it'll be a tad less seems it's sort of a 'family wagon'
  6. Hang on... Did I read that right ? Are NRMA now insuring imports in the ACT/Queanbeyan area ??? Do you mind me asking how old you are? I might give them a try for a Stagea. J
  7. Demon - I think you'll find that their policy on re-insuring people that have had a large pay out is that they won't for at least 1-2 years. That's what they told me anyway J
  8. Just to put it in comparison, a friend wrote her car off about 2 years ago. Vechile was inspected the day after the accident and NRMA sent her a cheque 5 working days later ! But I think things have changed in the last 2 years, maybe they investigate deeper etc.. Like I said, the main thing is that I got it in the end, and I got the amount I wanted. Leech_ - I'm looking at a Stagea Trying to find one in Australia is a bit hard cause they are all interstate I've been looking at importing one too..
  9. I've just had a claim finalised through Famous. The car was a write off too From submitting my claim form to getting the claim finished and pay out figure in my bank account it was 8 1/2 weeks. Make of that what you will. I suppose the main thing is that at the end of the day I got the money.... J
  10. He has it stuck up just above the aircon unit, it's pretty much on all the time I think. It's good to monitor things, but being just a monitor I think after a while you wouldn't tend to use it much. J
  11. Looks like the control box for an Apexi power meter. Your missing the screen that plugs into that empty socket The power meter displays things like speed, RPM, throttle position, inj duty cycle plus a heap of other stuff. You can also set warning levels for all of them. A mate has one in his GTR, looks cool, but can only display stuff, can't adjust any of the ECU stuff at all. J
  12. Dont worry about rope. Just use hockey straps
  13. Yeah towing is no problems. As said before, do it at 11pm or something. But if I remember right, you've got a 400R bar on the front don't you? Can you still get to the tow hook OK?? Just make sure.. R33's have great brakes, so just leave the car idling so the brakes work well and take it easy. Even if you only do 70km/h down the parkway etc... J
  14. Yepp, they really need to be lowered 1-2 inches with some nice mags. Makes them look low and fat
  15. Hahaha, me too. I almost twisted my head off my neck watching it go by Yepp, this red one is a 96 or 97 RS Four, just what I'm aiming for.
  16. I've seen a red Stagea around Hyper D a few times (could be the same one). I think they pick up a kid from the college some arvo's.. Been tempted to try and catch up with them to have a look at their Stagea cause I'm looking at buying one... They look nice J
  17. Good stuff Joel. At least this time they know your not willing to be stuffed around, so if they're smart they'll get their best spray painter to do it, and when you get it back it'll be the way it should've been - perfect.
  18. I have a feeling that it may be a N/A ?? If it is then those A/F are fine.
  19. Hahaha - I wonder if you could do that? Find a speed camera van and ask if they could check you speed ?
  20. SK - I think you are a mind reader ! All the questions you have listed have been on my mind... Are you sure your not a Jedi Master ? But seriously, even though the Stagea's have a lot of things in common with the R33 GTS-t's, there is still alot of unknown's as well. Maybe there isn't enough of a demand for a seperate forum, but lets see if we can change that J
  21. Hmm, then I'm not sure. Maybe the speedo cable/screw drive is worn or has previously been replaced with a slightly different sized one? Or maybe you are correct in saying that the speedo is infact out. Hard to say really. Here in Canberra we have speedo checkpoints on some of the main highways. Basically just markers over 5km distance so you can check your speedo. If they have any around your area give them a try, maybe the dyno was out J
  22. Depends on how different the diameters are ! 10km difference at 100km/h is only 10%. Doesn't take much to be out by 10%. From factory I think the specs are +/- 3% to pass ADR's This web page can help you to work out how far your speedo wil be out if you change tyre size. http://www.secret-secret.com/turbo/DIY/tir.../turbotire.html J
  23. Do you have stock rim/tyres ? If you don't, then make sure they are the correct rolling diameter, otherwise that will put your speedo out too. J
  24. I'd be interested in seeing some official times for the RS-four. 0-100's etc. I had a good search on the net but found nothing Being an auto and about 1650kg ! would it be right to say it'd be around 8 seconds ? J
  25. Yepp, I'd be keen on that
