OK, a quick question. I've currently got 225/50/16's on my stock 6.5 inch wide rim and they fit very nice. I'm going up to 17 inch rims that are 7.5 inches wide. Can I go 245/40/17's on the 7.5 inch wide rim? Or should I stick to 235/45/17's ?? I was thinking that from 6.5 to 7.5 is a 25.4mm wider rim, and from 225 to 245 is only 20mm wider.. Is that right? J

What you should do is drive a clapped out 180b for a week, then get back in the skyline - that'll fix it J

That's true. Here in Canberra we have had these 'radom carpark checks' for about 2 years now. Basically, if you park in a public car park, then they'll have the right to check your tyres, lights, ride height, and they'll even look under the car with one of those mirors on a stick things. I've watch them do it a heap of times, the only time they actually touch the car is to put a defect sticker on it, or a note to say your car has been inspected and everything is good. A good 5-10 years ago Canberra got rid of the compolsorary yearly inspection when your rego was due, and from then on the number of unsafe cars going around has increased ten fold... J

Autospeed sell one that is a single LED, 3 wires ands really easy to set. I think they are around $60. J

I could be wrong here, but I think that the only spacers that are legal are the ones that first bolt to your hub, and then you can bolt the wheel to the new bolts on the spacer. Soooo, the spacers that I'm talking about aren't the ones that just float on the wheel studs, but actually bolt to the hub... Can someone confirm? J
