  1. WLD747 - Toyota made a TO4 equivilant that is internally gated, or should I say, have a turbo that can be highflowed to be a TO4 that is internally gated... It's the CT26. Found on MR2's, GT4's (3sgte motors). J
  2. Make sure the stock BOV isn't blocked off. Mine was blocked off when I got it, looks like it had an after market one on it prior. They simply put a thin plate between the BOV and where it mounts. Rip it off and have a look. J
  3. Intresting stuff Freebaggin. Any chance of getting the results of the HKS2530 that's posted up to that chart?? Here's the link: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=30077 It would give a good comparison between the HKS2530 and the HKS2535 Pro J
  4. Looks good Pushead. J
  5. LOL - you might break the 200rwkw mark with the stock cooler... for one or two runs.. Then you'll have to pull over and let it cool down for 15 mins before you can do it again. Play it safe and get a FMIC that's not too big. J
  6. G'day Mark, You may have already checked this, but have to disabled the boost control module through the handset ?? The PFC's are defaulted with the boost control module 'on'. But if you don't actually have a PFC boost solenoid conected, it won't let you start the car. Have a read on the handset manual and make sure the boost control module function is turned off. Cheers J
  7. Depends on what you call a rolling start. A 300rwkw GTS-t will still bag the crap out of the rear wheels at 60km/h in second, and probably at 80km/h in 3rd. So do you wait until your doing 110km/h in 4th to floor it and use all the power (just hypothetical (sp))? Again, it's up to personal choice. But for me I would want maximum traction at all speeds, and that calls for 4wd. J
  8. That was Andrew's (Ethan_R32) car. Going by the dyno sheet that Andrew gave us it was running 240kw @ wheels at around 0.9 bar. We test drove another GTR here in Canberra that just had exhaust and boost and it felt like a slug compared to Andrews ! Maybe who ever tuned/serviced it did a good job? Not sure... I don't know all of the mods, but a few that come to memory are 3 1/2 ehaust (stock dumps), high flow cat, R34 N1 turbos, HKS adj cam gears etc.. Still running stock ECU though.... Anyways, a bit off topic.. sorry.. J
  9. If you feel like being different and don't mind the possible traction issues, then go with the GTS-t. If you want good 0-100km/h times and want a daily driver friendly car then go the GTR. It's upto personal choice. Both have good points and bad points, so it's upto what you want in the car. Personally, I wouldn't be able to pass up the 4wd A friend picked up a very nice 1994 R32 GTR for $28K. After getting to know the car, he's best 0-100km/h time is 3.9 seconds ! And that's quick in anyones terms. The car is running as he bought it ie. he hasn't done anything further to it. J
  10. G'day RiGo, The Volk Racing rims, just wondering what size they are? 17's,18's etc, and how wide are they front and back. How are the tyres? Any idea on price? Cheers Jayson
  11. Yepp, buy a GTR. No use having all that power if you can put it to the ground until 3rd gear !!! Remembering that a 240rwkw GTR could well be street-faster than a 300rwkw GTS-t... Just something to think about. J
  12. G'day Ben, I had the same problem. The factory castor rod bushes are filled with some sort of gell/fluid stuff and are prone to leaking. Mine were picked up at the last wheel alighnment I had done. I couldn't tell you if there was any handling improvement cause at that stage I went from the JIC coilovers to standard shocks with 25mm lower springs (hence why I got the alighmnet done ). One thing I did notice was that it now has a slight squeak sometimes ! I think the cost was $120 for the parts and about $60 for fitting. Cheers J
  13. Bought the car 2 1/2 years ago with 42,000 on the clock. The condition of the car and the log books matched the KM stated. Now it's up to 85,000 and hasn't missed a beat. Had the front castor rod thingies replaced but that's it. J
  14. Damn - if I would've known yesterday I would've held off buying the 5lt of the new mobil 1... Cost me $63.. Oh well... J
  15. Damn - I was up at Erindale last night. If I would've seen ya's I would've stopped in and washed her up - the car that is. Got back from the coast at about 6.30pm and the front of the car looks like it collected every single bug between here and the Bay !! Damn you bugs....
  16. The air bag computer/controler in the series 2's is located under the centre consle (box thingy between the front seats. You'll notice that the console is fairly shallow. J
  17. That's probably true - he isn't the most gentalist of people when it comes to cars
  18. Yet AGAIN - it'll come down to who is the better driver.
  19. I've put in 3 brass button 5 puck clutches now !! One in a R32 GTS4. One in a R33 GTS-t, and another in a Celica GT4. The ones in the R32 and R33 were driven gently for the first 500-700km. No dumping the clutch or riding it badly and they turned out great. The one in the GT4, the bloke dumped the clutch after about 50km and for ages (8000km) he had clutch shudder pretty bad I'd say just take it easy until it beds in then go for it J
  20. It'll be a series 1. Mines a September 1995 and is a series 1. Although it could be the series 1.5 !! The 1.5's came with the series 2 motor, series 2 rear wing, but kept the series 1 front end (bonnet, lights, gaurds etc..). Do you have a pic of it yet?? J
  21. What's the go with these?? Anyone had any luck getting one, two, or three ?
  22. Wow - that's pretty reasonable !! So 17x8's shouldn't be a heap more... Hmmm, tempting
  23. Just found this link on PF, and I know a few of you guys would be interested to have a look. http://www.turbobygarrett.com/turbobygarre...p/downloads.jsp
