  1. Yeah, it's not that bad when you look at it like that.. Unfortuatly the only way to make full use out of the fuel would be to have a fuel/ignition map for it. No use just pouring it in and going to the track. I suppose you could pour it in and turn the boost up a little then crack the base timing up, but you may not get the full effect... Better than nothing though.
  2. Did you get a witness when he said that he didn't see you do it?? But I suppose either way it's his word against yours, and if you did take it to court you know that you'll come off second best
  3. We're doing another in 2 weeks. Already done a R32 GTS4t - that was fun !! And a Celica GT4 - even MORE fun. Yeah, as said before, 3-4 1/2 inch extension bars are needed to get the top gearbox bolt out. Apart from that - and what has been said before, get 2 trolly jacks for when your putting the box back in, it'll make your life a whole lot easier... Just take your time when your putting the box back in. It won't go back in the first, second, third, or fourth time !! Took us an hour just to get it to move in that extra inch.. J
  4. Thanks Clint - let me do some thinking. J
  5. Mine was a 1980 Stanza. Bright yellow with 4 spoke dragway mags sunroof, good suspension package, 32/36 weber, extractors etc... Looked good and went well - for the time... Traded it in, and a mate saw it about 2 months later with the whole right hand side wiped out I was almost in tears... So many memories in that car (most of them in the back seat ) ... J
  6. Is this just for Vic people, or do ya want them from all of SAU ? J
  7. Cool - yepp if you could take a pic of the wheel by itself it'd be great. Not suse what the avs model 5's look like Cheers J
  8. G'day Clint, Do you have any pics of them straight on so I can have a good gander at them Are they chrome or polished? Thanks J
  9. RedlineGTR - NDR has R34 GTT wheels on his R33 GTS-t and they fit fine without spacers. They look good too. J
  10. SydneyKid - thanks for the information. Very interesting. J
  11. Pretty sure they are in banks. So groups are in series etc. I think there's a thread around about it, do a search and see if you find anything. J
  12. Does toluene have a shelf life?? I know (thinking back to the petrol RC car days ) that some nitro fuels have a self life of about a month, then they are useless. Just wondering if we can get a 20l drum and sit it in the garage and just use it for drags every few months ? J
  13. I'd like to know who's paying for the GTR !! Australian tax payers ?? J
  14. Mr RB20 - I remember about 18 months ago there was a bloke selling the whole roof of a R33 WITH the sunroof for $500 !!! Pretty sure that it didn't include the head lining though.. I just didn't have the cash at the time I think you could do it. Usually the factory roofs in cars all have the mounting spots for sunroofs (if a sunroof was a factory option). J
  15. Maximum traction and maximum control. Normal diff will tend to spin up one wheel then kick out to one side a little. 2 way give an equal 50% power split to each wheel - hence better traction and ease of more consitant times. A 2 way also won't kick out when it spins up the wheels cause both wheels have the same power and are spinning at the same speeds. This web site has a bit of info http://www.a-t-s.co.jp/e-atshtml/e-effect.htm Main page is here http://www.a-t-s.co.jp/e-atshtml/frame.html J
  16. That was the only thing that I didn't like about my car... NO SUNROOF My last car had an electric sunroof and it was great. I wish my car had one..... Anyone know how much they are to get put in ?? After market electric?? J
  17. Yeah, I've seen and been in this car. DAMN NICE !! The black paint with the slight gold fleck in it is totally horn It's put a few WRX drivers to shame too J
  18. G'day Mose, Yepp, that red GTR is nice and is a beast. It maxed out the dyno at gas tune down at the Hyper D Not sure what sort of power it's putting out, but I'd say it's a fair bit.... J
  19. Do a search through yahoo or google on "MEC-521" and you should find a jap page that you can run through babefish to translate. I 'think' the 521 is a 93-94 model, but don't quote me on this. J
  20. LOL - I thought that my head unit was running slow... But maybe the clock is running fast.. I'm all confused now J
  21. Yepp, roller bearing. HP output of a turbo will be different on different motors, so it's a bit hard to say. You may be able to quote what sort of air the turbo can flow, then use that info to calculate the output on your TX3. J
  22. LOL - yepp, that metal ring is mega MEGA tight. Best thing to do is to (if you get stuck) is to pry the ring open just a touch - not much at all, but just a little bit. All of the installs I've done I've been able to get the ring to sit right, but like I said, it's MEGA tight. Glad you guys like them J
  23. LOL - cool. Umm, I think it'd be quicker to swap the whole diff assembly. Never done it myself, but I've been under there a few times and I was just scratching my head wondering how to do it !! J
