  1. Cheers Chris, It was good to meet up with you. We'll have to get the other guys off their butts and get together for a cruise and BBQ once this damn rain pi$$es off Thanks Again. J
  2. rs73 - yepp, that's my understanding. I've heard 'stories' of people pluging in a new PFC and gaining 15rwkw just from the base map it comes with.. Not sure how true this is, but sounds tempting. J
  3. Hmmm, sounds like theres a big jump in improvement from VMX80 to Redline... I really should try this stuff.. Any ideas if there is a distributor in Canberra at all?? J
  4. I just rang Airco and they said that they only sell a plate that holds 3 x 52mm gauges but it doesn't fit in a DIN slot They said that it's meant to be bolted under the dash or something Looks like I might have to make my own up. Shame cause I wanted something in plastic to match the dash for that factory look. I've got a heap of 1mm aluminium sheeting that I can cut and get powder coated though.... Hmmmm, I'll have to do some thinking about it... I really would prefer plastic.... Gold Rays - so the HKS one is for 2 gauges only ?? J
  5. Tony, Did you end up getting one??? J
  6. Boostd - What's your account details so I can deposit some money in there for one of these turbos.... j/k
  7. Yepp, you can get them. I had a clear set that I was going to use in my GTR front bar, but I would've had to by the plastic surrond to mount them too The ones that fit in the GTR bar are the same ones that fit into the 400R front bar (just without the plastic surround). I ended up selling the clear indicators for what I paid for them. I think it was $160 or something... I gotta admit, the clear ones look very nice. J
  8. Denham is right - especially when weather/climate can affect the tune too !! I think Australia's climate is just a little different to Japan's... J
  9. Cool, If they are cheapish and look and fit good, then I'll grab one too I wanna move the 2 gauges off the A pillar and get another gauge for it.... You got it off of the site above? J
  10. Joel. Sounds like a dodgy connection on one of your blinkers to me. Pull all the bulbs out on that side and clean the connections and check all the plugs. I had a blicker relay go on an old car (my old tough Stanza ), and over time the blinking got slower and slower and slower...... And it did it on both sides. Cheers J
  11. Damn - it comes on boost hard !!! No wonder you've got problems with traction
  12. Tony - so they do sell them (3 gauge din panel)? I'd love to see what it looks like J
  13. BigDatto - couldn't find it on that site Any ideas?? J
  14. Good stuff, I've always been amazed by that turbo of yours. 257rwkw at 13psi !!! You've got to love that.... Well it's good to see your well and the car is on track. Keep us upto date on how things go. Cheers J
  15. G'day Matt, How are ya? Good to see the rebuild is going to plan. Hay, just wondering if your still using the T3/T4 hybrid that you were runing before? Or are you going for something else to make thr figures your aiming at?? Cheers J
  16. I used the VMX80. It helped a fair bit, but not as much as I would've liked. I'll be using the redline light stuff next. J
  17. OK - if your getting a reading of 6-7 on the factory boost gauge that means your running about 13-14psi !! (7 on the factory gauge is close to 1 bar). It will be the factory boost limit or your plugs. Regapping your plugs to 0.8mm might help. I wouldn't recomend that you run more than 10psi if it's a series 2, and 12psi if it's a series 1. J
  18. jnr_j - that click you hear might be coming from the solinoid. Get someone to stick their head under the bonnet next time it's doing it. If the starter is clicking but not starting the car, then that's your problem. It's a common problem in heaps of cars. J
  19. jnr_j, To me it sounds like a dodgy contact on the starter or in the starter. More than likely it'll be a bad contact on the main starter leads, or in the solinoid itself. I would suggest that you take the starter off, pull it to bits (I've done this to mine and it's easy), give it all a good clean and put it back together. Took me about an hour to do all this. Mine was over running (not disengaging when the motor had started), and cleaning it fixed it up perfectly J
  20. Nice wheels - do you take Visa or pay-by-the-month
  21. WLD747 - yepp, just disconnect the plug to get rid of the two stage boost. Best thing to do is remove the factory solinoid totally though. J
  22. G'day Zheng, There's a few of us around (see all the posts in this thread). What sort of problems do you have? J
  23. Obseshn, I've seen that same car do simular things too. Over taking in the turn right only lane..... Hopfully they will grow out of it and realise that look like a fool...
  24. Cool. Ordered mine Just gotta wait for the email now. Good work P1E. J
