Any idea how many cars are gunna be there and is there an order that the cars will be run in? A mate and I might turn up and we're just wondering if we can just rock on up and jump on the dyno within 30-40mins. J

I'm sure someone would be nice enough to lend you their stock sized tyres at the drags or even for a few quick runs. Anyone?

No worries Yepp, I've used it a few times while working on the car. Great for seeing how things come apart etc. Last time was when I pulled the starter apart. Using this I knew there wasn't any nasty little clips and springs that were going to fling out and never to be found again J

I have to tell everyone what happend the other day - it was funny. Comming home from work I see a nice new comodore waiting at the turn left lane - he had to give way to me. It was black with nice mags with silver flames up the front of it !! Once i had gone past of course he had to give it a boot full and get past me to make a some sort of point I think ??? All the time I'm just pottering around doing 60km/h cause that's the limit and cause the motor was stone cold. He got infront by sitting right up someones butt, but I think he was happy cause he ended up being one car length in front of me at the lights........ He speeds off and then further up the road he is infront of me at a T intersection turning right. Of course he waited for me to get behind him even though there was no traffic comming (I'm still pottering around at 60km/h). He takes off doing a big burnout for about 20 metres to prove something. Not sure what it was, but I'm sure it was something.... Then a notice that he is only spinning one wheel. Only one black mark !!! After he finished the burnout he slowed right down and watch me go around the corner... I just took off slowly and pottered around the corner.... Surely the new comodores have LSD's ??? Or maybe his LSD was stuffed already? Or maybe he changed it to a single spinner so he could do burnouts??? Either way I think he got the extra power (and ego) from the silver flames cause I'm sure they would add at least 20hp at the wheels !! It was a funny experiance, I just wish if could have heard me laughing.... Anyway, why do people do that? I suppose it's just showing off or is it cause they are intimidated by Skylines? J

Matt (the Hitman) works from his home in Sydney. Although he didn't mind taking a trip to Canberra to tune one of our cars. Last I heard he was heading over to Japan to do some work. That was about 6-9 months ago though, so I'd say he would be back by now. Hold out and get him to tune your car. Watching him tune the E6K was great J

Check that the AFM is plugged in I did that and was wondering why it wouldn't idle !!! J

Naaaa, we wanna see the 11sec pass with the 100hp shot. Good price, I don't think you'll have any problems being a 95 model etc. J

Cool - thanks for that. Yeah with the wastagate stuffed it's a it hard to compare, but once it's fixed it should spool up a little faster hopefully. It'd be good to see how you go when you get it back. Cheers J

JimX - you may have been asked this a billion times before, but whats the TO4E like on the 25DET ? Was it ever working well enough to get a power figure and spool up time from it? Just wondering if it was a lag king etc. Cheers J

Yepp, manuals are 4.11. Autos are different and I think they are higher ratio, so if your mate does a manual conversion and doesn' change the diff it'll be reving a little higher than normal, but he's 0-100 time should be a bit quicker too J

Hehehe... BTW: two of my mates are looking to buy your car. James has his car up for sale now, and another bloke is tossing up between yours and a series 6 RX7 !!

This is true... But right now I can buy a damn nice second hand R32 GTR for $31,000 (quick plug for Ethan ), or I could buy a second hand GTS for about $80,000. Ethan's car does the 0-100 dash in about 4.6 seconds (or something like that) and I wonder what the GTS would do? Not to mention how they would compare through the twisties. When I buy a car I'm not interested in what they were worth when they came out onto the market, I'm interested in what my dollar can buy right now. But I can see where your comming from, both are nice cars and both are full of potential. Just comes down to personal preference. Hay they wouldn't have made the GTS if there wasn't a market for them ! J

Having driven a 4wd car with around 500hp and also driven a rwd car with pretty good power I can safely say that for a street driven rwd car you don't want a peaky turbo ie one that spools up at 3500rpm and hits hard. All you'll get is wheel spin in first and second if your not careful. The 4wd is a totally different story. Traction is much less of an issue, so you can launch it at 4500rpm with a slight chirp and your off. So for a street driven rwd car you want a nice wide usable power band that starts low and has good torque spread. J

Pred - hehehe, I love your work... I remember one bloke in an old beaten up EH go past me (turning right at the lights) while I was stopped and yelled out "jap crap" out his window. Then his car backfired, almost stalled, and just made it across the lights before they turned red. I was like WTF???? LOL Anyway, that's waaayyyyyy off topic...
