  1. I need help ! I'm changing my shocks and springs and need to know the standard ride height of a R33 GTS-t. So if someone with standard suspension can mesure up their car from the centre of the wheel to the lip of the guard (front and back) it'd be great. And if you could just take not on how much fuel you have in the tank when you mesure it too.... I mesured up Shell car (thanks Shell ) but I just want to double check cause I've been told something different to what I messured Shell's car got 365mm front and back with a full tank. ATM mine mesures 355 at the back, and 335 front - but has coilovers, so it ain't stock Thanks Jayson
  2. Sounds like a good plan - just make sure you get ALL the spec's of the new turbo, cause if it works well then I'll copy it What sort of boost and power are you aiming for? J
  3. Yeah I understand that it won't change the pedal weight, but I'd like to try and get the take up point more consistant. BTW: I rang that number for Maltech, but a some lady answered the phone and had no idea what I was talking about !!! J
  4. Shell, Yepp, my money is on the plugs... Andrew's car was doing that when we turn the boost up a little (only 9psi !!). We ripped them out, cleaned them, re-gapped them and now it good upto about 11-12psi. Strange that the platnuims only last 10-20,000 km... J
  5. rb26dett - yepp, mine does that too... Frustrating hay... What are the HKS twins like for peddal weight? Are they heavy or light?? I might try ringing the number that Martin quoted. See if I can make a fool out of myself if the bloke has no idea what I'm talking about J
  6. G'day all, Just finished reading Martin Donnon's artical on braided brake lines, and he mentioned that he changed his clutch hose (small piece of rubber hose just before the slave) as well and noticed an improvement. This got me thinking. The clutch in mine is so damn heavy that my leg shakes if I hold it in for about 20 seconds !! And it bites pretty fast. I have no idea what type of clutch it is - it's just damn heavy and doesn't slip. But I have noticed a few times in the past that if I hold the clutch in for a while (5+ seconds) that the take up point (friction point) seems to be different as to when I change gears normally (less than 1 second). This is pretty frustrating when the clutch bites really fast cause you jump and hop all over the place So I think this little bit of hose before the slave is expanding when i hold the clutch in. Martin left a contact of 'Maltech' and a mobile phone number. Does anyone know these people? I'd like to get one, but have no idea on price or even if someone has 'off the self' ones they sell... Any ideas??? Cheers Jayson
  7. Not good. Even if the water was getting in the door from where the window is, it still should drain straight out the bottom. Pull the door trim off and have a good look in there. There must be something in there blocking one or some of the holes That's all I can think of J
  8. It could well be the stock ECU crapping itself and pulling timing off. The R33 ECU's tend to get very confused when you start to play around with the flow (inlet, exhaust and boost increases), unless your lucky enouhg to have a 'freak' ECU... All I can suggest is doulbe check everything like the plugs and connectors, look for boost leaks, fuel presure, fuel filter etc, and see if everything is OK. You might of had a bad batch of fuel too ?? If it is all OK, then you've just got the same problem that I and a heap of other blokes have got with their R33 Damn stock ECU..... J
  9. Yepp, it's a GT-T and I think he is selling it. Very nice car too. I've met the bloke and he's a good bloke. A mate bought a R33 GTS-t from him not so long ago. He imports a few cars, and when I was talking to him, he was thinking about bringing some parts over in a container. J
  10. damn, it won't let me say stop ****... Oh, I mean s t o p - c o c k
  11. Maybe your one way valve/stop **** that's in the rear washer line is stuffed. So when you give it a boot full, gravity forces the water backward to the spray thing. ??? J
  12. Dukie - do you have a auto or a manual? There's a fair bit of difference between the two. But yeah, as said before, finish off the exhaust, bleed valve to up the boost, good tyres, and practice your launches
  13. Yepp, spot on Grim :uh-huh: :alien:
  14. Yepp, the HKS pods are well known as being one of the loudest pods around. It's all induction noise. I've got one, and sometimes it's loud even off boost !!! J
  15. SydneyKid - thanks for those figures - I'll be using them in about a month or so when I change my suspension Just a quick question. Are these settings suitable for normal street driving, and will using these settings sacrifice handling in the twisties badly at all??? I just thought I'd ask cause I thought it was normal to have toe in on the front, not toe out.. Thanks Jayson
  16. Mmmmmm, BBQ and beer..... Mmmmmmm
  17. Cool, I was next to a silver series 2 around a week or 2 ago and gave them a wave. That air flow conditioner may be a little device to lean the mixures out a little. R33's run pretty rich usually. Do a quick search through goggle and see what pops up. You gotta love bonus bits. J
  18. Looks good John. Hay - did I see you about a week or two ago going along Hindmarsh Drive from Fyshadick, then you turned left toward the tip??? J
  19. B-Dude If your good with a spanner I reckon you'll be fine. Get your mates around for the weekend and do it slowly. Make sure you document (or take photos) of all the wires you need to remove, and get yourself a hoist. The hoist will make it 100 times easier. Maybe someone on the forums that have bought a workshop manual can lend you it for a week to make it easier for you? We managed to get the motor out of a GT4 in about 3-4 hours. They are 4wd turbo east-west motors with zero space anywhere, the key is to take your time. J
  20. The PFC won't have any problems at all. There are 700hp+ skylines in Japan using the PFC Like I said, just leave a bit of money aside, once tuned you may find that you need to replace your fuel pump or something. BTW: where are you getting the parts from? Seem like pretty good prices. J
  21. GTS 33 - what power goals are you looking for? If you looking for around 200rwkw then the stock turbo should be OK if tuned right. But if your looking at 250rwkw, then go a different turbo. But if your stuck on spending $2500 then keep the stock turbo. I think your on the right track. Spend the $2100 on the mods you've listed (remembering that you'll need to fork out more cash to get the PFC tuned), and always put a bit of money aside for the unexpected. Have fun J
  22. Thanks Sfitzy - that'd be great. J
  23. have a look on Meggala's site. Heaps of info there. http://www.meggala.com/ J
  24. 50 billion dollars... Wooohooo..
