Nice.... That's the sort of figures I'm chasing. Once I hit the 200rwkw I'll be happy. What sort of mods do you have other than the PFC??? I recently put a FMIC in and I noticed a good increase in power, but I also noticed that it's not as smooth, it seems that the stock ECU gets confused with the more mods you do :D J

Steve has hit the nail on the head. Get your self some of that foam from Clarke Rubber. For the metal stuff I used AluBond. Two 1mm sheets of aluminium seperated by 2-3mm of plastic/rubber. It has very good heat insulation properties. But a single 3mm sheet of aluminium will work good too. I found that mine did reduce the noise of the pod by about 30%. Your like me, I don't like it mega loud

If this is what I think it is, it's just an optional rev limiter. Hold a button in and it limits revs to a pre set level (ie. 3500rpm). The E6K on my mates GT4 has it and it allows you to have very consistant launches. Neck snapping launches actually Pretty sure that it could be used on RWD cars too, like I said, it just limits revs. J

fitting GTR center console guages in a GTST
Jay95R33 replied to skyline33's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I 'think' the GTR console uses a wierd size gauges. Somehting like 44mm or something. The smallest I know of is 52mm, so you might have problems finding gauges to actually fit (that's if your going to replace them. Would look nice though. A bloke on SDU made up a 3 x 52mm holder that sits under the stereo and it looked great. It was a very tight sqeeze to get all three to fit, and he even andled them towards the driver. Anyone keen to make them up :bahaha: -
Limp dick :bahaha: :bahaha: Sometimes a oil/filter change with good oil will fix it up. Mine went limp one night (not a common thing for me girls !!!) and the next day I changed the oil and filter and she was sweet as. But Skylines do have a reputation of their oil preasure senders crapping out. J :shake: :burnout:

Do you have different wheels on your car? If the size/profile of the wheels and tyres aren't correct your speedo will be out. If you get different wheels/tyres you have to make sure that the rolling diameter is the same as the factory wheels/tyres. J

Baaahahahahahahha. Thanks dude. You'll be seeing more of Kermit soon

Whatisname. G'day Matt, how's things?? Hay can you do me a big favour and measure the distance between the middle of your wheel (front and rear) and the lip of the top of the guard. I'm changing the suspension set up on mine soonish and need to know what the factory height is. I know that yours is 30mm lower than factory it'll give me a good idea. Thanks Jayson

Cool, What's your email address and I'll send it through. J

GARAGE SALE - R33 GTS-T Spare Parts
Jay95R33 replied to Blitz's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
G'day Nick, Just wondering, around what sort of price are you looking at for the 4 standard shocks?? And are they in good cond?? Thanks J -
I'm running 38psi all round with mine. Wear is dead even, and it seems to have sharper turn-in. But this is just for street on 225/50/16's. J

Is that the harliquin (spelling !!!) coloured one??? If it is, it was still there Monday lunchtime. From the parts that Joe showed me that's going into it, I'd say he'd be aiming for around the 250+ rwkw

From what I have seen from all the work done onmy friends cars both here in Canberra and also by 'reptuble' places in Sydney, I will always feel strange when leaving my car with a workshop just becuase I've been burnt before. Tom, How's things going with that R32 ECU remap? I'm still trying to find one for a good price !!! Damn Aust Post :( J

That just goes to prove that I know nothing about drag racing :bahaha: :bahaha: :bahaha:

One of the only runs I've had with a Commadore was with a GTS 300kw one. Rolling start from the bottom of 2nd gear, it was a close run - very close, but at the top of third I was pulling away JUST. I must say that they sound GREAT, I'm not sure if it had a standard exhaust, but damn it sounded good. At that stage I just had full exhaust, 12psi and pod with CAI. I have no idea what 1/4 times I'd do - I'd say about a 15-16 sec pass due to my crappy reaction time !!! :bahaha: :bahaha: And I have no idea what sort of rwkw I have, once I get a new ECU I'll do a dyno run J
-
Yeah - I wasn't happy. I wasn't prepared to take it back to them, I'd rather a friend do it while I was there. Plus my mate is a great engineer - his welding was better than the shops !!! Plus i forgot to mention that when I picked the car up from "The workshop" someone had done about 3-4km in my car while it was there. Not sure why, or even where they took it, but if it was to make sure the plumbing was right - IT WASN'T !! For your Skyline stuff I recommend Skyline Perfomance out in Mitchell. J

Twin Plate Clutch install... Help
Jay95R33 replied to GiJOr33's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Ummm, I'm no expert, but I've done a few clutches in my time Just a few things to check; Make sure you have heaps of tools, good tools, one or two trolley jacks (to hold the gear box up while your trying to get it back in), and LOTS of extension bars.... We did a R32 GTS4t a while ago, and there is one bolt between the motor and gear box that is right up the top on the gear box. Now I'm not sure if the R33 is the same, but the only way we could get to that one bolt was too jack the front of the motor up (so the back angled down) and get about 4-5 10 inch extension bars joined together to reach that top bolt !!!!! Yepp, it was a pain in the butt !!! Also, make sure that clutch is compatable with the factory flywheel, and make sure that that clutch uses that factory push?? (or is it pull??) config, or you might need a converter or something (this is abit above my head). It sounds scary, but you should be fine, just try not to get frustrated when your trying to get the box back in - it takes time and is fiddly to get it to slot back in. Good luck J -
New Intercooler is IN.. Woooohoooo
Jay95R33 replied to Jay95R33's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Yepp, that's it. It won't give you more HP, but it takes away that sluggish feel after you've been sitting at the lights for a while. If you make one, make sure it's sealed from the hot air from the engine bay, it's no good if it's not sealed - it's all about stopping the pod from sucking in hot air from the engine bay. J
