  1. I command everyone to do this !!! I just did mine with Nulon brake cleaner. Quick light spray, all the crap just came straight off. Put it all back together. I could tell as soon as it started that it was better. It dropped down to normal idle speed faster and HEAPS smoother. It just purrs now. It makes sence, if the sensor has oil crap all over it, it won't give a true reading, or it might take longer for it give the right reading. This will now be part of a standard service when I do the air filter/plugs/oil etc... J
  2. From memory - you can get a Cusco one for around 9800yen (about $150) from http://www.takakaira.com/performance/main.html , but I'm not sure what sort $$$ you'll have to pay for shipping to get it over here. J
  3. No no no... I am.. I think the problem is that Skylines (along with other hipo Imports) are getting very cheap, so the deadheads can now offord them too, not saying that low income people are all deadheads - but you know what I mean. Sadly, these deadheads usually find out the hard way that they aren't god on the road. J
  4. I'm so glad someone else had problems with getting the rear seats up. After about 40 minutes of swearing I found out that basically you grab the seat really good just near the nylon thingy and pull straight up towards the roof. And pull HARD.... The other way of doing it (and it's a bit more controlled !!!) is to get a loooong screwdriver in next to the nylon thingy and leaver the seat up. Basically all it is and a thick loop of wire on the seat that is pressed into the nylon thingy that mounts into the floor. And it's a damn tight fit. J
  5. Hmmm, a few things to check.... Make sure the cable is conected correctly into both the head unit and the stacker. Check the fuse that's near the stacker. And the one that I forgot a few times is the earth wire for the stacker. Give them ago. Goodluck J
  6. For those guys with UHF handhelds - don't forget them for the cruise. I'll be driving by myself and I'll be getting real bored !!! LOL J
  7. Cool - I'll just be after the ECU if that's cool. Are you getting a new motor package or going full after market ECU like a E6K etc?? P.S. I've got this damn big blow fly buzzing around me - everytime I get the fly spray he disapears.... Smart little buggers...
  8. Sweet, If I haven't got one by then I'll grab it from you - depending on how much your after for it I had one, but it got 'lost' through Aust Post :)
  9. He he he, don't you mean 100% closed.. ie. Off throttle. Anyway, I agree. it's impossible to have vacume left in the system. J
  10. Unless you've got a throttle butterfly in the throttle body like the Skylines do. LOL Naa, just joking. If there's vacume left in the system that means you've got yourself a VERY gummed up throttle butterfly AND your valves are stuffed !!!! Cause out of 6 cylinders I'd say that at least one inlet one will be open at some stage. J
  11. Hi guys, Like the heading says, I'm after a stock standard R32 GTS-t ECU. PM or email me at [email protected] Thanks Jayson
  12. Did you take any notice of where it sat before you installed it?? If it was reading on zero when the gauge is sitting in your hand and not connected to anything, it means that you still have a vacum left in your system when you switch the motor off. BTW: This is VERY unlikly !! I'd say the gauge isn't spot on. Make sure you take that into account when winding the boost up. J
  13. Do'h, I should read your post all the way through. The problem with the factory solenoid is that it is modulated to bleed off excatly 2psi more, it's not just an open/shut affair. And if you unplug it, or by pass it you'll end up with 5psi not 7psi like what your after. The only save way to get a constant 7psi is to get a bleed valve or even better, a EBC. I've heard of people pricking holes in the wastegate hose with a hot needle, but I wouldn't be doing this !!!! J
  14. Or just unplug the boost solenoid.
  15. Saw a nice balck R32 GTS-t with BIG cromies down at the servo last night. We gave each other a wave... I was thinking about getting out and telling him about 'us all' but it was very late, and by that time I looked and felt like a bucket full of smashed crabs. Hmmm, maybe we should have cards we can give out when we're stopped at the lights next to another skyline
  16. Hmm, some great pics here - I might have to add them to my screen savers for work Here's mine..
  17. Meg's This link should work sorry guys I had to delete that link because of issues
  18. He he he, in Canberra, a few young blokes managed to distract and pinch one of the plates off of the speed camera van. Then they fixed it too their car and ran through the same speed camera spot 17 times going over the limit. The RTA/cops where very embarrased when the computer system sent out 17 fines through the mail for one of there own speed camera vans. Not that is funny.....
  19. Sounds good to me.. J
  20. Cool - I presume Darron works at Justjap and I can get him on JustJaps work no. ??? Thanks Steve Jayson
  21. What sort of $$$ are we talking about for a pair???
  22. I've got 2 VDO 52mm gauges in my A pillar mount and theres almost zero blind spot caused by it. I know the 60mm gauges do cause a bit of a blind spot. Theres only 8mm difference, but to look at them in a A pillar holder the difference looks massive. The one I have, both gauges are behind the line of the steering wheel (if you know what I mean)..... I too went with VDO, they are standard equipment for a lot of Eurpoean cars and have good backup service. I had to send my oil temp gauge back because the capilory was a little too short, they exchanged it without a question. I can take some picies if you want to see them J
  23. Yepp, go the GTR bar, you can leave the stock GTS-t grill on like I've done I just need some mags now Merli - what did you do about front indicators with your GTR bar??? I've been trying to find front GTR indicators that are clear instead of orange but their hard to find J
  24. Man this sucks. I think it's time to do a stake out. It sounds like some has targeted you or your car for some reason. If I was you, I'd park the car in the same spot and wait a long way away with a video camera with a good zoom. Get them on tape doing it and take it to the cops. Even if it takes a few days. So where you were parked there isn't any security cameras around??
  25. Umm, not that I know of. We haven't had a get-together for a few months now. Hmmm, maybe a bbq/cruise should be on the cards??
